Fri, 5 Aug 2016 18:24:13 EST Hello, new here and need support for juice fasting Hello!

Well, I used to be 87 pounds and even though I refused to believe, I am anorexic. I ended up fainting and staying that way in the bathroom for 12 hours...on a heater. I ended up with a full thickness burn on my leg, debreeding and skin graft followed...along with a very ticked off doctor whom, no matter how I spun it, called me on my eating disorder. Time for a radical change.

As I try to explain to the people around me what I am planning to do I try to focus on what is going into my body rather than the process of preparing the food. I'm doing about 40 days of juicing. Hi everyone! I'm new to this juicing. I lost 150'ish pounds via the 17 day diet, which I loved and still do, I truly taught me how to eat... and then I just got complacent. in the past year or so, I've just hovered and put on about 40 lbs. Sat, 29 Dec 2012 12:17:58 EST juice fast challenge Well, I have finally decide to do a juice fast. I did a 1\2 of a day juice fast today to introduce my body to juice fasting. I was hoping it would minimize the withdrawals. I have committed to completing a thirty day juice fast. Tomorrow marks day 1. I am keeping a journal that details physical, mental, and spiritual changes that I go through. Tue, 4 Dec 2012 23:13:18 EST Just completed today my 60 days juice fast Hi all I just completed today my 60 days juice fast and feel great. I only lost about 30 pounds - I wish it was more, but I did not do any exercise, purely out of laziness since I had tons of energy. I lost tons of inches though all my clothes are super loose or I can no longer wear them.

My friends are calling me the "incredible shrinking woman" - lol.

Someone else who started when I did and weigh the same lost 49 pounds but she walked every day.

Still ve... Thu, 29 Nov 2012 22:33:14 EST Enema Help Hello,

I am new to juicing and only recently learned about enemas. I bought an enema kit yesterday and tried to do a plain water enema, and I apologize if this is TMI, but I have no clue how to do an enema. I would have the enema tube in place, but the water didnt seem to be flowing "in" and anytime I would try to readjust the tubing, it would just feel the water trickling down my body and onto the floor. I tried placing the enema both lying on my back on the bathroom floor, an... Thu, 15 Nov 2012 08:31:37 EST Whats the hardest part? Hello,

My name is Sarah and I am new to this group and new to juice fasting. I just ordered a blendtec blender and plan on starting a 60 day juice fast after it arrives. I'm curious though, for all you veterans, what do you find to be the hardest part of juice fasting and how do you get through it?

Though I havent started, for me I think the hardest part will be the social aspect. I typically dont like telling people other than family when I am on a diet, and will app... Sat, 27 Oct 2012 14:43:51 EST Hi everyone, I'm doing a juice fast! Hey all, I'm currently on day 2 of my (at least) 7 day juice fast. Ideally, I'd like to fast for 14 to 20 days, and one day, complete a 30 day juice fast. :) The longest fast I've ever done was for 5 days and it was fantastic. The main reason I'm doing this fast is to improve my health and give my habits a kick in the behind so I can really begin to change my lifestyle. Doing that while eating often times seems impossible because while I'm chewing that healthy morsel, my mind tells me I shoul... Wed, 24 Oct 2012 12:14:48 EST Breville or Huron? Breville or Huron? I have a ? I only have a Ninja Blender, It emulsifies to liquid if I add small amounts of water. It just doesn't eject the pulp. That's not really a bad thing is it? Thu, 12 Jul 2012 09:20:45 EST Juicing kale & spinach I have been juicing for 2 short days and am curious if when you juice kale & spinach, do you get a very small amount of juice out of them or is it just my juicer. I put in 3 handfuls of spinach and got about a tablespoon out. With the kale it mainly gets spit over to the waste portion of my juicer.

Mon, 9 Jul 2012 17:27:27 EST detox stage - any tips? Please forgive me if this is long.. It didn't start out that way. Ok, so I'm on day 4 of my juice fast, and still in the detox phase. Headaches, achiness, nausea, I just feel awful. I know that my body is releasing toxins, and that this is a good thing. I know that this is temporary, and I know that when I get past this it will be worth all the trouble.

But I'm NOT past this yet. I'm still in it, and still struggling. Anyhow, I joined spark people just for this team, it's not easy to find support for juicing apparently, I've been looking all over the place lol. Hope everyone in here is active and that we can support each other! :D Wed, 27 Jun 2012 01:38:33 EST Enemas Anyone? Ok, I know that sounds weird, but I wanted to get some advice. I read in a juice-fasting book, that when you do a long fast, more than 7 days, you should use enemas during the process. I am doing a 14-day fast for now and it says that on Day 2, 3 and 4, I should use an enema to help clear out the colon. Has anyone done enemas? If so, what did you find worked for your fast? I just don't want to be sick from not doing it. Any help of suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you. Mon, 25 Jun 2012 15:40:56 EST Water fast I'm just going to use this as a personal accountability thread.

So it's day 3 and my cravings aren't as vicious as they were yesterday. I think that's because I took a long nap. Sleep helps. I tried to do a cardio video and made it about five minutes before my body was screaming for me to stop. So I'm going to instead do yoga and maybe strength training.

I've had about 8 cups of water so far today and some peppermint tea. I'm surprised I'm not craving coffee. I thought I... Thu, 21 Jun 2012 10:36:38 EST 60 days of Support Hello, My name is Kristina and I am about embark on the 60 day juice fast. I pray I can stay encouraged through Spark Peoples Juice fast team. Tue, 12 Jun 2012 17:31:53 EST Can you "spice up" your juices? Is it OK to alter the taste of juices every now and then with, lets say -
vinegar, pepper, Worcester sauce, hot sauce? Or is that a big no no? I was reading recipe for a home made V8, and it suggested to add some Worcester. I know we should probably limit salt, as it's just not good for you, but would it really be so bad to add couple of drops of something? Sun, 3 Jun 2012 18:51:29 EST Carrot and apple juice 1 lb carrots
1 medium apple
1 peeled orange
2 medium celery stalks washed and trimmed

For me this made about 22 ounces of juice. I really look forward to getting to know everyone, good luck on your juice fasting ventures! :) Sun, 22 Apr 2012 02:56:32 EST Hello! Hello all! I watched the video by joe cross and was motivated to buy a juicer. The juicer should be here on about april 10th. I have had a few vegy juice's in the past and honestly didn't care for the "grassy" flavor, I am motivated to drop pounds though so I will figure out how to choke it down :). Does anyone have suggestions about recipes for the fast? I am not starting for another 2weeks but I want to get all my ducks in a row before then. The last diet I t... I'm not familiar with the movie everyone is watching, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. Is it available to rent at a Redbox or at Netflix or do you have to buy it from somewhere? It sounds pretty good, so I want to view it. I am unsure which I think will be more difficult...fasting or breaking it. Any thoughts? Anyways, I want to do this for my health.
