The one I currently have only shows half-pound increments, which means if I weigh in between 180.0 and 180.5, it rounds to the nearest one. Does anyone have a recommendation for a scale that shows one-tenth pound increments but isn't too expensive? It doesn't have to be one of the super fancy ones that syncs with a tracker, but I think I'd feel more encouraged if I could see the smaller increments. I lost my Spark at the first of the year and I'm finally getting it back. I'm trying to track my food, get my 10000 steps in (I use a Fitbit to track), and drink 8 glasses of water daily. I started back to the gym Monday and I'm going to try to go 5 days a week. I'm wheat and dairy intolerant and like my wine a little too much. I'm also 58 years old and weigh 175 lbs. I would like to be 145. I also have lack of self control. I want to lose about 25lbs. My weight has always been a yo-yo, I do so well then I fall off the wagon and I always seem to tell myself I'll start over tomorrow and then tomorrow comes and I tell myself the same thing as I did the day before. I'm wanting to make better choices when I eat and also when I slip up not dwell on it and just keep slipping up. I know I can do it! I've done it befo... Sparkpeople helped me lose this weight before, so here I go again. It's my goal this time to focus more on lifestyle changes, more exercise, less tv, more healthy foods, less dessert. I gained a lot in the past year due to quite a few reasons. I just want some control again and some people that understand a little bit. Sun, 23 Feb 2014 14:24:28 EST Hiya! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x54030x56883427 Hi My name is Porsche, I'm 26 years old and have been overweight my whole life. I joined because I am pretty sick to be so young and I know losing weight will get rid of two of my illnesses. Also short term, my boyfriend's birthday is March 30th and I want to lose weight before then so when we go out I won't feel as insecure. I want to lose 100lbs eventually but I'm focusing more on smaller goals. I hope this will help keep me motivated and accountable for myself! Sadly, I have started this journey a few times, but am even more determined to finally get healthier for not just me, but my entire family. As a Mom, I was not setting a very good example for my impressionable young children by gaining so much weight and ignoring it for so long. Once again, I will modify my diet and exercise. I loved the look of this site and feel confident that I will be able to see at a glance how... I'm about 50 pounds overweight, and to me this sounds like a daunting challenge, trying to lose it. I'm 62 years old, still working, but I keep putting the weight on! I used to be very active, but for the past couple of years, I haven't done much in the way of exercise. I'm unhappy with my appearance, but now I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol.I really want to make this work! Guess I just lack confidence. Sun, 9 Feb 2014 17:05:42 EST Question about the Trackers http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x54030x56660547 I notice that everyone has little trackers under their names and I think they are really neat! I found my option to make one but I was curious if we could change what they track or if once we picked it if we had to stick with it? I'm trying to loose both weight and body fat but the weight is coming off more quickly than the fat% is changing at this point. I'm torn between trying to decide what to keep track of. My end goal is body fat% but until I get down toward 25% I'm not sure how close to... Wed, 5 Feb 2014 15:53:17 EST activity tracker http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x54030x56653826 Good morning, does anyone where the tracker on their bra if so does it work well wearing it that way. Any tips that you can share with me on this would be greatly appreciated... I must stick to it. Education is a must in order to make right choices, and patience to overcome our bad habits.. after 4 months of struggling I feel I finally have it under control and I am finally seeing real results. <em>524</em> Wed, 5 Feb 2014 01:59:20 EST It's been a busy year! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=21833x54030x56643996 I am happy to announce that I gave blood several times last year ; <em>244</em> and did not (yo-yo) much in weight and size like the holidays tend to do sometimes!
