SparkPeople NEWO Fans of Jonathan Roche Team Messageboard Variation of Workouts Hi, <BR> last week I decided to vary my workouts even more. A few weeks ago I introduced a swing stepper. This week I wanted to do a different Interval workout and a different strength training workout - in order to wake up my sleeping muscles (each activity uses different muscles...). <BR> <BR> On Monday I used the stepper to do the high intensity phases of the Intervall and my regular ergometer to come down in between. It was great! Afterwards I did a Cardio on my ergometer. <BR> <BR> Yes... Wed, 16 Nov 2011 05:22:01 EST Different Attitude I'm trying a different attitude this time, and have enjoyed the first two days of the challenge more because of it. In the past, for many years, I used a "boot camp" approach for exercise, work, and most everything I did. I would throw myself into it, pushing myself hard. This worked well when I was in my twenties, and even my thirties. Over the years, though, it has led to overdoing to the point where it has led to self-damage. My digestion is a mess, I have aches and pains in nearly every p... I take care of my 2-year-old grandson weekdays while my daughter is at work on the mainland. I also write a column for the newspaper about how to eat as a locavore (one who eats only locally grown food, as much as possible). I've done webdesign and web programming since 1995, and still do some of that, too. I like interval workouts and found a small, quiet treadmill that allows me to do my workouts in my bedroom in...
