The Hobbit as three films

I am not a big follower of blogs and the like so I was taken by surprise when I learned that Peter Jackson's production of The Hobbit will be three films. I was rather surprised when he initially announced that he was doing it as two films. But three?

Does anyone follow Jackson's blog? Does he have strong reasons for this? Is he pulling in background information from other works by Tolkien?

Okay, I recognize that I could go back and look for everything on the Internet ...

Goal Setting: questing for commitment

Ok, that's not very dramatic, but recently I admitted to myself that the reason my goals were vague is because I am uncomfortable with striving. I am a Hobbit by nature and you all KNOW how much we love our comforts! So today I re-read The Spark chapters having to do with the "Cornerstones" and decided to get more specific in my weight loss goals. I suppose I can apply the same process to fitness next, as well as other life goals. This is not exactly an adventure of the epic sort ... well, ma...
