Sun, 27 Oct 2013 08:19:49 EST Recipe Review: Garlic Chicken Slaw in Lettuce Cups I've been craving Asian food lately and decided to make this for dinner tonight, hoping I would like it since I knew I'd have leftovers tomorrow. It is a hit! I added just a touch more of the black bean garlic paste and also a pinch of stevia because I thought it needed it to round out the flavor. The only other thing I changed was that I sauteed the broccoli slaw a minute or so longer. I prefer mine a little softer than it was at the two-minute mark.

The meal got great reviews at... Wed, 9 Oct 2013 18:40:06 EST Smoothie Nutrition Information in Tracker I enjoy the smoothies from the cookbook but noticed that carbohydrates for each are not listed in the book or in the nutrition tracker. I have diabetes and need to keep track of my carb intake. I really don't want to enter all of these recipes manually to get the carbohydrate counts. Is this something SP would consider adding to the nutrition tracker (please)?

Thanks! Mon, 7 Oct 2013 15:07:58 EST new here from Maine Hi everyone, I am here to learn to live healthier. Thu, 29 Aug 2013 18:32:16 EST Recipe Review: The Downies' Honey-Ginger Salmon This is a really tasty recipe. I used both salmon fillets and Hake loins, and both tasted great. I was a little dismayed when I entered it in my tracker and a serving was just over 400 calories and contained about half my daily fat intake. 40 I know it's there on the recipe (and I should have expected a higher calorie count since it called for a quarter cup of oil), but I don't always look at that when I decide on a recipe to make. I would like to make this again, but probably w... Thu, 8 Aug 2013 06:40:54 EST how do you organize your recipes There are a few things I've made either from the cookbook or a community recipe that turned out really well, but then I seem to forget about it. I'm trying to figure out a way to put the ones I like in a notebook or something. Short of writing it on an index card and sticking them in a box old school has anyone found a way to do this? Fri, 22 Feb 2013 09:01:31 EST Calculation Help I'm trying to calculate how many calories are actually in my homemade gravy. The calculator says 60, but that can't be right. After roasting several cups of vegetables (white, sweet potatoes, zucchini, onions, carrots) I mix it with vegetable broth and puree. One half cup serving has to be more than 60 calories because pureeing would have more vegetables than sliced vegetables. Help me figure this sucker out please 198 Thu, 21 Feb 2013 16:27:36 EST ...and here we go again trying to find the motivation to make the changes in my life that I know are necessary to not only feel good about the way I look, but look good because of the way that I feel. I'm an empty nester that has used lots of excuses to not lose weight or more importantly to me, just get in shape and feel stronger. I'm hoping to use the tools that are available to make better choices and make lasting changes. Since starting with spark, I have not been able to meet my daily requirements of calorie intake because I honestly do not feel hungry. When I feel a binge coming on or am in the middle of one I think about writing in my food journal and that brings me back to myself. I usually never fulfill my daily carb requirement. Any suggestions for low-fat, carb rich foods? Thanks ... Tue, 8 May 2012 23:58:22 EST My name is Irene and I want to ly ose weight. losing weight is not a easy. Keeping it off is harder. So today I took the challenge to a new level and bought this cookbook. Hoping it will challenge me to cook more. Being single I probably only have to make about 2 recipes a week as I can eat each one for several days. I don't mind eating the same thing a few times which is a good thing as so many recipes make way too much for one person. Tue, 8 May 2012 11:25:14 EST Hi, I'm new at this... Hello. My name is Jess. My name is Mary and I just joined Spark People to help with a healthier life style. I think motivation has been a bigger of my problems. It is similar in many ways to other soup recipes I have, but the addition of basil pesto makes it different enough and truly delicious. This is one recipe I don't even tinker with because it's so good as written. One serving offers a lot of filling, healthy soup for the calories (tons of vegetables--hurray!), and I love that it freezes well, too. Wed, 4 Apr 2012 16:05:32 EST Time to Cook...
