So I'm here to do it again. In July of 2015 I turned 40. In Sept 2015, I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. People think it is an old man's cancer so it is often misdiagnosed in women. I am one of those women. For a yr I was misdiagnosed until FINALLY the right nurse (yes a nurse) recognized my symptoms and sent me to a urologist. She got an all clear on the lung in December. For the past two years, I participated in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk for the Cure. This is where you walk 60 miles in three days while raising a minimum of $2300 for breast cancer research. This year I decided to try the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K run to change things up. I was wondering what other people do or what other things like these are out there. Do you do anything like this or have you heard of other things like these to do? Also my husband was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer & is having da Vinci robotic surgery tomorrow to remove his prostate we are at the start of a rough journey.
