SparkPeople SP Class of December 4-10, 2011 Team Messageboard This team is for all members who joined SparkPeople from December 4-10, 2011. Welcome! SparkPeople SP Class of December 4-10, 2011 Team Messageboard Is this class still open? I joined about a year ago. Then I lost all info and didnt get around to really coming back untill this last week. I would like to know what this class is about and how to use it and if anyone is still around. I am also having a very hard time navigating this site. So I need help from people with moving around this site and getting back to things like my profile page. I cant find that on most pages that I visit in here. Fri, 4 Jan 2013 19:36:00 EST Inactive Team This post is nothing more than a note to remove the inactive team status from the front....not that anyone will see it.....

Matt Mon, 1 Oct 2012 16:06:15 EST Anyone Still Here? Just curious...We have been at it just over 6 months. I made some progress right off the bat, but slid the wrong way after that, I even broke the 200 barrier for a couple of weeks. Now I am back at it and struggling to find that fire and determination I had when I first started.

Matt
Fri, 22 Jun 2012 13:02:04 EST Starting today........ I always say I will start tomorrow, and today gorge on all the foods I think I won't be able to eat when I diet. The problem is I never start, and now I am over 200lbs the largest I have ever been in my life. I have read all about dieting and tried about every diet there is. I have studied up on nutrition and have gotten quite well rounded on what I need to do to lose and maintain a healthy weight, yet I continue to abuse myself and stuff my face shamlessly day in and day out. I hate the w... Mon, 12 Mar 2012 18:27:06 EST Now or Never Hi, guys! I've never posted on a message board before, but I think it's about time I start. I'm currently weighing in at about 200 lbs- a number I thought I'd never see, and a number that I am so ashamed to even look at. My "goal" weight is 135. But if I find that, at 150 or so, I feel and look the way I've always dreamed, I'll be more than happy with that! I have no idea what it's like to be slim-no concept of what it's like to sit down and not have my stomach pour over my pants. Even as a c... Thu, 8 Mar 2012 20:37:02 EST Motivation Needed Please! Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site, and need some motivation. Before Christmas I was doing really well, with drinking healthy shakes, and putting lots of effort into making healthy snacks and working out almost every day. This was MUCH more effort than I have done before, and got no where. My clothes don't fit better, and the scale certainly doens't reflect any of my efforts. I didn't go crazy over the holidays and only gained 3 pounds, so I'm not really upset about that. I had... Tue, 3 Jan 2012 08:28:51 EST First time ever..... Today was the first time I met my goal for protein, but did not meet my goals for any of the other categories.

I really struggle to meet my goals for protein on a daily basis, so this was something for me. This is also the week that I stated I was going to get serious about a healthier lifestyle. So I am off to a good start with only two days in, but that's how you build momentum, one day at a time followed by another.

Matt
Mon, 2 Jan 2012 23:08:11 EST Happy New Year! Hello my name is Emilee. I'm looking forward to the new year and my new challenge. Its just simply time to get my body back. In the last 7 years I've gotten married, quit smoking and had a baby - Now I know that doesnt sound too bad but I've also gained 50lbs when I was already overweight at 200 lbs. Now I am 5'10" and 250lbs. Since I'm tall I actually look thin at 175 but thats still a good 75 lbs I need to lose. Hope I've come to the right place. This website gets some great reviews. I'm gl... Thu, 29 Dec 2011 21:51:06 EST Slow but sure.... My name is Kimberly. I am a single mom of an amazing 9-year-old boy, a Cub Scout Den Leader, and an IT Asset Manager for an electrical co-op. I am a returning member of SparkPeople. I had gotten frustrated with a number of things last October, and turned off my old account. As I was able to start getting things into perspective, and focus on managing my stress better, I realized how much I really enjoy being involved in SparkPeole, Thus, I am starting from scratch. I think that sometimes... Tue, 27 Dec 2011 23:43:08 EST Hi Everyone! I am not sure if I introduced myself or not, so I will do so again. I'm Terri and I need to get fit and loose weight! Unfortunately, I took care of everyone else and didn't bother to take care of me for so many years. It is coming back to bite me in the tush and it's time to do something about it.

I now have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, have had a hysterectomy, heart cath, and my gall bladder removed. This all started on September 15, 2010 and I've been sick off and on ... Tue, 27 Dec 2011 09:54:38 EST Need something to keep me on track I have hit that mark when I start to fall off my diet. Sad that it has only been 10 days! I was great with exercise and diet until yesterday. So now its been 2 days without exercise. Today, I skipped breakfast and dinner and had snacks I should not have.

I want to stay on track, so if anyone has suggestions, let me know! Wed, 14 Dec 2011 23:33:40 EST Hello All! I'm glad to have found this forum for support, just getting on track, trying to be accountable and take care of myself. Looking forward to meeting you online! Sun, 11 Dec 2011 23:22:03 EST Hi There! Lori Here! Hello,

I'm Lori, an overweight Air Force spouse, government worker, mom of 2, and sometime student. I've been here on sparkpeople before, but never really got the hang of it. So I deleted my old profile and have finally decided to start again and give it 100%. I look forward to meeting and getting to know and cheering on lots of new people on their way to healthier lifestyle and happier living. Here's to a fabulous December and an even more awesome 2012! :-)

All the be... Sun, 11 Dec 2011 01:09:42 EST Its Brandi! Hi, its time for me to jump on with the rest of you. Need the push! Sat, 10 Dec 2011 22:13:08 EST Just to say hello Hi. I've just joined Sparkpeople and am so pleased to find a bunch of people who have just done the same. Good luck to all. Sat, 10 Dec 2011 06:55:53 EST Eyes Opening with this site Wow, I had no idea my diet was so high in fat. My calories are fine but my fat content is much higher and protein much lower then I realized. I need to head to the store and make serious changes. Also right now all I feel like I can eat is food from a box since I need the nutrition information and it doesn't feel that healthy. I hope I can adjust from that to healthier foods. Fri, 9 Dec 2011 14:38:57 EST Hi Just starting today.... I hope can reach my goals. Fri, 9 Dec 2011 13:08:49 EST New Member! Hey guys! My name is Niki and I am very new to Spark People, just joined today! I am 24 years old and live in the mountains of North Carolina. I am dating my high school crush for about 3 weeks now after knowing him for 10 years and I couldn't be happier. I have been overweight all my life but during high school was able to maintain my weight at about 180 pounds. Since graduation I have gained weight and am now the heaviest I've been at 225 pounds. I pretty much hate my body at this point so ... Fri, 9 Dec 2011 08:41:37 EST Pictures Tell the Truth! I am a stand up comedian and I had a professional photographer take pictures of me this past weekend. I was shocked! (I really believe that women have a visual memory of what they looked like in high school. When they imagine themselves, this visual memory pops up.) I thought I looked so overweight! I decided to go on a diet immediately. The next day I broke my foot running in backless shoes. Rather than be depressed, I decided to pursue my weight loss goal, especially since I was goin... Thu, 8 Dec 2011 23:32:16 EST Hello Fellow SP Members Hi, I'm new to this site. I was at my heaviest of 180 lbs about 2 years ago, now I am at 156. My most recent weight loss was 10 lbs since October. I realized that sometimes in weight loss it's better motivation when you are in contact with others who have the same goals. That is the exact reason why I have joined this site. Maybe I can be of help to you and vice versa. I hope to make some awesome friends along this journey and look forward to meeting my fellow SP people. :) Thu, 8 Dec 2011 20:15:17 EST Hey Y'all! Hi everyone! I'm new here! Looking to connect, get tips, pointers, help, etc. If you are motivated, I want to be your friend!! My name is Hope and I hope to learn lots from you. To my new lifestyle ; ) Thu, 8 Dec 2011 11:05:15 EST Struggling to find a fit I've been looking at various teams the last couple of days, and I am struggling to find some to join. I just went to the family tab, looked over the sub tabs, found one that fit me, and the entire first page is about moms, wives, and homeschoolers. No place for men.

Some of the others that may look interesting, I look at the page and there have been no new post since September. Or, the only items that are posted is that tired rhetoric that I see on the main message boards. How ... Wed, 7 Dec 2011 19:30:50 EST Mom inspired Good day. I am a big fat woman who loves to eat. I have been trying to lose the weight but I just love to eat more than being concerned with my health. How ironic because I am a healthcare provider that help others stay well .losing weight and staying healthy is my goal. Happy holidays Wed, 7 Dec 2011 16:40:37 EST Healthy living Hi,
I joined Sparkpeople yesterday. My main aim is to eat more healthy and sensible. I am 40 years old and my weight is 125 lbs and I am quite happy with it. But I would not mind losing 10 more lbs. I always used to be between 100 and 110 lbs and gained some weight after having two babies. I just want to live a more healthy, doing some more exercises and feeling good. Wed, 7 Dec 2011 15:18:01 EST I'm ready to start this again! I'm ready to start this again--yes, even during the holidays. I have a vacation in February and I'd like to feel better about myself by that time! Wed, 7 Dec 2011 12:26:26 EST Recovering high school/Army athlete I'm new to SparkPeople, not new to working out or eating healthy. I am have reached a point of struggling with the combination of personal motivation & accountability, I'm great on a team (ie high school/Army) but this on my own is rough. So, I've never been a Forums person or a blogger...I'm trying something new...hoping to somehow hit upon a solution that will work for any advice, help, comments, please I'm open to it all at this point. Funny thing though, it ... Mon, 5 Dec 2011 17:16:00 EST Day 1 of my weight loss journey Hi everyone......I've finally decided it's time to take control of my life, my body and my eating habits. This is day 1 and I'm feeling ready to do this, but would love any support I can get!!!!

~ erica Mon, 5 Dec 2011 09:17:02 EST hey everyone! I just wanted to say hi to everyone and give a little info about me. I am a 31 year old female who has the most loving husband and daughter. With that being said I finally took a look in the mirror and did not like what I saw. After having my daughter I put on a lot of weight. I have signed up for this site before soon after I had my daughter but to be honest, I really didn't use it so of course there were no results. The other day I saw a picture of my sister and she looked amazing! I ... Sun, 4 Dec 2011 23:50:00 EST intro Hi, I am Adrien, I am new to sparkpeople, and I've been trying to lose weight my whole life, and my friend from high school recommended this website. Please feel free to say hello anytime. All comments welcome. ~Ladybyrd~ Sun, 4 Dec 2011 17:36:39 EST over 50 Hi friends...
I am new as of today. Still trying to get this all together to get a profile. Some things on here are a little hard to understand, but I will get it figured out.
I am almost 63 and as I get older, the pounds are piling on. I have always been pretty active till the last year. I have been slowing down a bit. I do feel and act (LOL) like I am in my early years.I am single and wish to find a nice man to enjoy the rest of my life with. I want to look good...looking good ha... Sun, 4 Dec 2011 10:45:25 EST I need that Spark Again! Okay so about 2 years ago I lost 110lbs and this past year I have gained about 45 of that back. I am so upset and the more weight I gain back the more hopeless I feel. I was in denial for awhile thinking "O I can start eating right and exercising again and it will come off" But I am totally missing the whole point, the whole reason I started my journey was because I was very unhealthy and needed to lose weight and start eating healthy for the rest of my life not just for that moment. I really... Sun, 4 Dec 2011 01:06:04 EST
