Anyone reading this has been peeking at this site for about a year, as I have, and I'd love to hear your tales on how the site has affected you. Successes, challenges, whatever, it's worth telling, I think.

Me, I'm down between 20-25 lbs. The initial goal was a 25 lb decrease, and I've woken up a couple of times at that mark, but I haven't managed to make it stick for three days yet, which is my marker for something that's real and not ... Mon, 24 Sep 2012 15:36:47 EST 9 months now... October 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012 I'm starting this topic to look over my past nine months of Sparking. What have I learned? Where am I going now? Have my expectations changed?
I am in this for the long haul. My life is changing daily. But isn't that life...? The only constant in this life IS change! It's how I react to it and live it that matters...
It's been a good journey. Sparking has change my life forever. I am grateful! Mon, 9 Jul 2012 11:48:12 EST Quick Meals Hello all- I haven't been very active on the message boards lately but I do use spark people all the time. I was wondering if you would like to share some favorite quick meals with me? Its a busy time of year for me and I haven't really been cooking. I have been able to keep going to the gym though. But with the higher fat content of the grab and go I haven't seen the results I want. Please share quick meals that you like and keep you satisfied.

THANKS!!! Fri, 18 May 2012 21:55:36 EST 7.5 month check in Thought I'd throw out a new topic, as the others have dried up. Curious how many people are still checking into to SP regularly, and as to how we as a group are doing since we joined up.

Sun, 6 May 2012 13:00:50 EST Me time? What is that?
How do I find time for it?
How long should I take?
What should I do in it?

I hear lots of folks talking about me-time, but I do not have the answers to the questions above!
Any Ideas welcome Sun, 1 Apr 2012 16:43:12 EST Hello to the group Good afternoon everyone. It is very informative and easy to use. Hopefully having these articles and challanges will keep me on track! Getting married in May! Tue, 27 Sep 2011 19:54:04 EST Starting over and serious this time Hi everyone,

I joined Sparkpeople in January and did quite well until I 'fell off the wagon' when work stress collided with hubby and new baby daughter (now 15 months!) My big event is over with now and is regarded as a big success but I don't feel good and am at my heaviest (84 kg). I want to look good again because I am certain there is a relationship between self-confidence and weight and I miss that great feeling.

I've spent a lot of time going over the website - i... Tue, 27 Sep 2011 17:55:17 EST New Girl Hi everyone! After a lifetime of unhealthy eating habbits, I've come here hoping for motivation and encouragement to be healthy! I'm 26, been married for almost a year, and i'm hoping to lose 40 pounds. I've set short term goals for myself, ten pounds down by November first. Today is my first full day on Spark and I've been doing pretty good with tracking what I eat (which, honestly, is usually not something I enjoy doing). I'm also going to walk 30 minutes every night.

I do have a... Tue, 27 Sep 2011 17:20:10 EST Wish Me Luck! Looking to shed 43 remaining pounds I gained during pregnancy. I have started and stopped many times before, as soon as I lost 20 pounds I would stop and let being a working mom, wife, sister and daughter take over. This time I am going to be all of those things and still take care of myself. I had a physical in August and I was told and shown that I was just above the non-diabetic limit of 5.7 by .1. About a week later I started working out again, but still having issues with my eating habits, even t... Tue, 27 Sep 2011 11:25:30 EST Self Love I love the fact that I am excited about my health and staying in good shape. I love that I feel comfortable in my skin. It has taken me 45 years to feel good about myself, and I am having fun learning new things (golf and Salsa dancing) because I know that I can do it. Tue, 27 Sep 2011 10:51:08 EST Calm and determined Hi there everyone,
I'm a 36 year old from St. Louis, MO. I've struggled with weight most of my life and the last few years have really gone over what I consider "acceptable". I tend to freak out and panic and then start a weight loss program in a frenzy. It never seems to last - the determination.

This time I am going to try going at it in a different way. Calm and determined. My first day went well. My plan is to lose 58 pounds. I know I can do this, but what I also... Tue, 27 Sep 2011 09:31:43 EST Monday weigh in I'm going to weigh in on Monday. Hope it will keep me on the straight and narrow over the weekends. Tue, 27 Sep 2011 06:41:49 EST Hi all! I'm new to SP, hoping to find some motivation and ideas. I am 44, and I need to lose about 50 pounds. I work overnights, which is a challenge to my meal planning and eating schedule, and I have a habit of going out to eat. This is hard on my bank account and my waistline! Hopefully I can learn something from all of you and make this work. I'm still finding my way around the site, but I'm already seeing lots of things that I think will be helpful. Looking forward to 'meeting' all of you. Mon, 26 Sep 2011 23:01:35 EST New to Spark Hello,
This is my second day to use spark. I really like. It's fun and informative. I started a weight loss program about 3 weeks ago and the first week went well and weeks 2 and 3 I stayed exactly the same. It was a strict program and I had a hard time. I like this because it has everything and it's up to me how much or how little of it I want. I also like the app on my phone. I like to mark off the waters! I've never really been a message board/online community participant before, but I'm ready to try it out. I'm a 24 year old New Yorker hoping to lose about 10 pounds and revamp the way I eat. After watching my mom undergo a triple bypass at just 61, I'm really motivated to change my binge-eating ways and would love some support. I just need to figure out how to use this site!
