Well, I've discovered what works for me to alleviate this issue...Good old fashioned oatmeal (healthy carb) w/ground flaxseed (healthy fat) mixed in, plus an extra cup of black coffee. ;) Of course, I also have my protein, which is usually egg whites. Now the only thing that's stopped up is the toilet....HAaaaahhh!!! ;) Wed, 30 Nov 2011 11:57:54 EST My downfall when it comes to the eating part... http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x45296088 So, here's my issue...I love tracking what I eat here because I get to see how many calories I'm taking in (and fat, protein, carbs). However, while playing "Game On!" it becomes really tempting to me to have an extra "treat" if at the end of the day, I see that I'm below or on the low end of my calorie target! Thu, 24 Nov 2011 10:42:38 EST New game anyone? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x44467205 I would love to start a new game of "Game On" . Let me know if anyone is interested. I haven't ever played it but just read the book for the first time. If there are enough people SERIOUSLY interested let me know. I'd prefer if someone who's done it before could sort of lead and be scorekeeper. It's only 4 weeks and holidays are days off so you don't have to worry about thanksgiving. Who's with me?

Joye
Lafayette, Indiana Thu, 6 Oct 2011 22:30:45 EST Hi Everyone! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x49675x41580975 I just want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Cheryl and I am from Michigan. I started the Game On last Wednesday. I started a small group here in my area. At this point there is 5 of us on the diet. Not sure how we are going to handle it with 5 but we'll make it work. One team of 2 and one team of 3! We did a buy in of $25.00 - Winning team takes all!

I'm doing ... ok. I'm down 4.5 pounds and I'm feeling pretty good!

I would LOVE to get this team ... Mon, 2 May 2011 16:57:26 EST Game Off! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x41294230 Ok, so I stole the title of this post from another Game-On-er (Lilly)! Yesterday marked the last day of my official round...and now I'm on my own. I'm Ok with that, really. As I've been saying to myself and others, I need to work on my eating habits independently for a while to figure out the root cause of my poor evening behaviors and really work on that. I'm hoping to read some books, articles and gather support here to help me with my journey. Looking forward to starting a work-out ro... It's just stupid and dangerous. Enough said. Wed, 16 Mar 2011 11:40:49 EST Team Logo http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x40423010 I'd really like to use the book cover graphic as our team logo as numerous other teams have used graphics like that (Jillian Michaels team has her 30-day shred video graphic and numerous other teams use graphics from what they're promoting). Thing is, not sure if it's copyrighted and what the rules are there.,..Any ideas? I don't want to get in trouble! Everytime I would have gone for a coffee or out to lunch, I transfer that money to my savings account. I'm sure my bank is wondering why I randomly transfer $3.65 a few times per week, but my savings account is definitely growing!

The bad habit I am working on improving is procrastination. I often leave projects until the last minute, especially when I don't really want to do them, because I think I "need" the pressure of a deadline to get... I've also used frozen blueberries, which makes it a pretty purple! The applesauce one doesn't look too appetizing...but adding cinnamon helps the flavor. :) Mon, 7 Mar 2011 11:18:21 EST Desiree's Habits http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=18903x49675x40391046
My new healthy habit is journaling.

My old unhealthy habit is .... hmmm.

need to think more on that.

I will get back to you later today! Mon, 7 Mar 2011 08:18:33 EST Getting anxious as my official round is ending. http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x40337947 The game I'm participating in now is actually coming to an end this Sunday. There's another round starting online (message me if you want details) and I'm honestly not sure I will participate. NOT because I don't like it...but I DO want to see if I can maintain this lifestyle without "officially" participating. Plus, I'm very close to my goal weight. It gets expensive to officially participate round after round - there's the buy in for the prize in the end. Of course, I don't worry about... Fri, 4 Mar 2011 17:21:28 EST 20 minutes exercise daily - my solution http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=18902x49675x40337853 I've found Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred DVD to be quite helpful with this goal. I work 3 long days (10 hours) and on 2 of those days, I go for 2 brisk 15 minute walks with coworkers, so that's my exercise on those days. I take one of my work days off from this...and the 4 days I'm home, I do the Jillian Michaels DVD, which really has made a difference in my body. I love that I'm seeing great changes for only exercising 27 minutes (yeah, it's longer than advertized) per day! Fri, 4 Mar 2011 17:19:24 EST Help spread the word! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x49675x40320673 Well, there are 3 of us now - I've been trying to search "game on diet!" via the search box to locate more people who might be interested. I've sent out several messages. Hopefully we'll drum up more interest to have a good supportive group here! Thu, 3 Mar 2011 22:30:02 EST Yummy Tuna Salad http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=18901x49675x40255891 I was flipping through the book last night and came across the suggestion to use olive oil instead of mayo to make tuna salad. I'd been avoiding it altogether and honestly never really think to make tuna salad when I'm not playing the game either...but this was a nice change, as my meals have gotten a little monotonous lately:

1 can chunk light tuna packed in water
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 chopped small red onion
1 chopped celery stalk
gr... Tue, 1 Mar 2011 12:44:00 EST Introduce yourself here! :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x49675x40252110 Hi All! I'm Hannah. I started this team after playing "Game On" several times, both "in person" with people and online through a web site I found via Google. I decided to start a spark team to offer additional support to those who are already playing. However, this is also a great place for those who don't want to fully participate (or can't afford to) but wanted to follow the lifestyle and needed extra support! I am a nutrition professional (registered dietitian) who has always personal... Tue, 1 Mar 2011 10:27:22 EST
