Tue, 11 Mar 2014 15:18:02 EST Honestly, just looking for support... .somewhere Back in May, I was riding with a friend on his motorcycle for the first time and the unexpected happened. My friend was hurt even worse than me, and we are honestly lucky to be alive. What I am hoping for is someone I can talk to for emotional support, as there is no one locally to talk to. Mon, 5 Jan 2009 03:31:58 EST Hello Everyone! I was glad to see there is a forum for people who love to ride. My husband and I ride a 99 Dyna Wide Glide out of Springfield MO. I am not riding much these days as my weight make it pretty uncomfortable. But I want to back in full force this spring, so here I go!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and finds 2009 to be everything you have hoped for! Sun, 4 Jan 2009 13:50:59 EST Happy New Year from South Dakota Hello all and lots of hopes and wishes to all for a successful 2009. With all this support we should all be able to make it! I have been struggeling the weight thing most of my life and the older I get the harder it gets.
I had a goal for myself to learn to ride and buy my own bike by the time I turned 50 and I made that goal now I plan to get at least 50 pounds off before I turn 55 and keep it off. That is harder and more scarey than learning to ride. Fri, 2 Jan 2009 11:04:52 EST New to all of this Hi,I have been a rider since 1966. I currently ride a Honda VLX that I ride about 16,000 miles a year. I only put about 2,000 miles a year on my Jeep so you can see that I ride year round. I live in the Bay Area so the weather never gets bad enough to stop riding.
I am into boating, riding, scouting, and need to loose about 60 lbs to keep on doing the things that I love to do.
Wed, 31 Dec 2008 12:53:47 EST Oh my... This might have to be my next commuter vehicle...

3-wheel-motorcycle/8576/
Tue, 30 Dec 2008 16:48:28 EST Battery Tenders Hey guys and gals. I am taking a poll. How many of y'all use battery tenders during "non-riding" spells? There was a special today on Motorcycle Superstore for a battery tender. I bought 2 after reading the reviews. Then I wondered if I got suckered. Help please. 30 Thu, 18 Dec 2008 21:14:00 EST Lets say thanks to our military I checked this out on and this is for real.... I know many bikers are ex-military.... Please send guys/gals your best during this holiday season... You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

Ho... Tue, 16 Dec 2008 21:33:12 EST Team Goals? What would the 600 min exercise per month goal be under in your sparkpoints page? I need to sell my bike, due to eye issues, and so far I have had 2 very interested ladies who want to buy her. While that is are my thoughts.
1) First woman, has never rode her own so grace would be her first bike. That is fine, but she has plans to name her Angel and paint her all white with green flames. I really should not care, but it kind of hit me hard.
2) Second woman also has never rode, and will be riding Grace in... Mon, 31 Mar 2008 07:06:17 EST getting into working out I've discovered that I don't hate working out at all. I joined the Y a month ago, and at first, I was so sore I could barely move,so I only went 2x a week cause that's all i could manage. I'm now going 3x a week and honestly thinking of doing more. For some crazy reason it's almost like a good high doing it. I don't understand why, but apparently my body must have needed it so bad that it loves it and makes me feel good for doing it in return. Hey all!

I am planning my first "away from home trip" to Ky this summer and I need to find some rain gear just in case. Anyone got any recommendations? I really don't want to pay a ton of money for it since I won't need it very often...I mainly ride to and from work all spring/summer/fall and usually just wait it out if I get caught. I can't really do that 9 hours from home 211 . Mon, 17 Mar 2008 16:15:25 EST Progress post Brag on yourself, it's like polishing your chrome and going for a ride, it makes you feel good! Fri, 14 Mar 2008 07:15:57 EST Am I the oldest in this team? and fattest? Hey bikers: I've been reading the threads and looking at the weights and pictures and I think I must be the only "old" biker here at 65! I am too short and fat to have my own bike unless I can afford a custom job, but I learned long time ago, I enjoyed sitting on the back of my husband's Harley. I got to see the sights while he has to watch the road. We (three couples) got to go to Sturgis in 1994 and it was the best three weeks I've ever had. Hope to get there again soon. Live to ride,... Tue, 11 Mar 2008 19:56:30 EST Fingers crossed - house with a garage! We are making an offer on a house with a garage! It's a single-car garage, but deep enough for both the two bikes and the car. Especially for winter! I hope they accept our offer; I am getting tired of the carport - especially when it gets windy enough to blow the tarps right off the bikes when we put them up for a couple weeks when it goes below freezing. Fri, 7 Mar 2008 06:54:02 EST clothing under your motorcycle gear? Hi - I'm wondering what kind of clothing folks wear under their motorcycle gear. I have a pair of leather pants and a gortex riding jacket, but I'm not very successful at finding stuff to wear under my gear that isn't bulky but still keeps me warm. I have some thermal underwear that's not bulky, but if I get sweaty, I get all clammy and even colder once I'm out in the elements for a while. Any suggestions? Thu, 6 Mar 2008 17:24:24 EST Yes, another, 'Hi, I'm new' message I live in Virginia. I punched in motorcycles just to see what I could find and wow was I surprised! I started riding about two years. I use to ride a little bit a while back. I have a 2006 HD 1200XL Custom Sportster. I enjoy riding but don't get to as often as I would like. I would like to lose a little weight so I don't look too bad on my bike. Yeah, I know, talk about vanity! 30 Thu, 6 Mar 2008 14:41:44 EST Yet another 'Hi from Oregon' Hello! I wanted to be a part of this team even though I don't have my endorsement or my bike yet. I'm a super-newbie to motorcycling, and I'm on SparkPeople to help me get to my goal of being lighter and stronger so I can be safe & confident rider. I'm really short, so I'm trying to slim down my thighs so I can tippy-toe with more control. Also want to get stronger for those in case I have to pick up my bike. 36 Wed, 5 Mar 2008 13:35:54 EST Sportbike riders???? Hey all...
