My weight went up by only 2 pounds, which wasn't bad.

I started cycle 1 all over again on Monday, the 10th. Unfortunately ... Our biggest issue will be our 9 y.o. daughter and not nibbling her treats and feeding her food that's not on the plan. I'm confident that after a few days and getting results that issue will greatly lessen. Feel free to add me as a ... Down 9+ lbs but even more exciting my BMI is 1.9 lower than 17 days ago! I thought this would be so hard, but I feel so good and have so much energy - it's easy. I miss that glass of wine with the hubby but it's worth it. Thanks for all the success stories - it makes it all seem possible! Thu, 13 Sep 2012 14:48:19 EST Very strange happening!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49909319 Well I have an interesting dilemma.

It seems that my waistline is expanding. I'm going to go back to C1 and see if that helps to get things under control. Right now I am suspicious that my medication is causing problems with my figure. I will let you know how things go over the next couple of days. Good night everyone.

40 Thu, 13 Sep 2012 00:17:24 EST Just have to share... lol http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49908792 My husband's facebook status today: Cracked me up and will totally give you an idea of the wonderfully, funny man I married!

Dieting can certainly mess with your head. I was shaving last night, squirted some shaving cream onto my hand, and just for one moment, I swear, if there had been a slice of apple pie anywhere nearby I would have loaded it with that shaving cream and gone to town on it's ass. I recovered quickly from this moment of deluded weakness , but still, better make... I admit I am a closet watcher LOL! Anyways, today he talked about Body Restart Guide. I found it all interesting but he recommended....TADA!! hot water with lemon! He also said to add a couple drops of hot sauce as well. Evidently this helps restart your liver. The other things recommended were interesting as well. Here is the link in case anyone would like to read the article:
http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/dr-oz-com
plete-body-restart-guide Tue, 11 Sep 2012 16:59:47 EST End of Cycle 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x47217x49883526 OK - so this is the third or fourth time I have entered/re-entered the Sparks world. I've tried on my own, Weight Watchers, Sensi or whatever the stuff you sprinkle on and now the 17 day diet. In over 10 years this is the first program I've followed so well and consistenly. Last time I weighed (Sun a.m.) I was down 6.8 lbs. Further, I didn't weight myself until day 3. I won't say I haven't been challenged; but I've stuck to it and am please with the results. Looking forward to eating be... Tue, 11 Sep 2012 16:34:32 EST Just started today http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x47217x49866490 Hi, I have read the book and planned my meals so I started today. So far, it is an adjustment but that is to be expected.

I made a tuna salad recipe with greek yogurt and I hated it. That's okay, now I know.

I live in Washington, DC and I have a lot of weight to lose. I am using this as a way to get rid of the carb and sugar cravings, especially. I am still going to weight watcher meetings because I need that.

Do you find the lemon water effective? Yikes t... Mon, 10 Sep 2012 18:51:52 EST Monday morning weigh in report... a big fat WHEW! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49854881 Whew! I haven't a clue how I pulled it out... I reported my weightloss last Monday, but after that, started baking... as I weigh in daily, I see what happens when I stray. Well, at one time I was up 3.5 lbs this past week... so after the Race for the Cure, I was so hungry, had cheese pizza, then was like... NO MORE... back to it and we'll just see what Monday brings. Well, I am at the same weight I was last Monday... Soooo, even thought it's not a loss, I was doing all I could not to repor... Mon, 10 Sep 2012 06:51:09 EST Insomnia ----UGH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49854587 I struggle with insomnia a lot. The last 2-3 nights have been the worse in awhile. ( I even stayed home from church yesterday!) The bad part is I always gain when I have sleepless nights. I weigh in officially on Tuesdays but this morning I stepped on the scales and I am up 4 pounds from last week. :-( I have tried many, many things, even have had prescription before which I took 2 times and threw them away because I didn't like the side effects. I know it's temporary but frustrating all the ... Mon, 10 Sep 2012 06:11:26 EST Having cravings! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49851034 What a week! The baking threw me off... I gained a couple of pounds... I have been back on track today... not sure what tomorrow will bring... but today... I've been fighting cravings ALL day! I have won the fight, but it's been ROUGH! I know that a few days back at it, I'll feel better and the cravings will disappear... I just have to get there. Sun, 9 Sep 2012 21:38:14 EST How much are you paying? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49850225 When I went to get some fresh fruit and vegs the other day, I also had to pick up the lemon juice. However, they did not have any of the Minute Maid lemon juice in stock. So I went back today and they had some. Whew! I almost used the old bottle up this morning. Anyway, I am paying $1.89 a bottle. What are you all paying for the lemon juice? Sun, 9 Sep 2012 20:48:30 EST Anyone tracking on cycle 3? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49817134 Wondering if anyone here tracks their calories and are on cycle 3? I began tracking my calories in August - at the same time I for the first time followed 17 dd to a tee. Since the end of cycle 2 and going onto cycle 3, I hit a now three week plateau (on the last 5 lbs to go). Started looking at my calories and I am in the 700-800 range. Checked here posts about being under 1200 calories but these refer to c1. I was never hungry and sometimes forced myself to eat more just to get to 800 o... What to do you think - yay or nay. Is there a better teriyaki sauce to use? Fri, 7 Sep 2012 14:35:54 EST Another newbie! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x47217x49813807 I am planning on starting either Sunday or Monday (have to go grocery shopping). My co-worker has been doing the 17 day diet and looks FABULOUS!!! She is such an inspiration. I am looking forward to my journey with you all. Thu, 6 Sep 2012 20:34:55 EST Newbie here :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x47217x49803655 Hi all,

I'm new "again" to Spark as of today. I thought I'd try again, but it's been a few years.

I'm also new "again" to The 17 Day Diet. I'm at the same point where I quit the last time so I'm fortunate to have found this group. I hope I'll find some strength here. As stated in the first email here for newbies, I've read and followed the first 2 chapters over and over again and now I'm at the point where I feel bored and I'm getting cravings for bad food so I'm about ... Thu, 6 Sep 2012 19:28:03 EST Counting the days http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=19778x47217x49765549 Okay - I started the 17DD on 08/27/12. I went off program Friday (08/31/12) and Sunday (09/02/12). I didn't stray too far, but I definitely wasn't eating "clean".

I've decided to subtract those two days from the total days I've been on the program. So, instead of being 8 days in, with 9 more to go, I'm counting 6 days in with 11 more to go (for Cycle 1).

What do you think? Does this sound reasonable, or should I completely start over? Or, should I just forget about tho... Tue, 4 Sep 2012 05:57:54 EST Nutritional goal guidelines for 17DD? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49755396 I just started tracking my food using SP tracker, but I dont think the daily goal ranges are correct for the 17DD. I called the 17DD helpline a week ago, and the person was reluctant to give me ranges for how many carbs, fat, and protein I should have. Does anyone know the daily goal ranges, so I can change them in my tracker? Many thanks for any help. Mon, 3 Sep 2012 19:17:30 EST Happy Labor Day! What are your plans? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49746453 I hope everyone has a fun, safe Labor Day! I have to work, but will put pork ribs in the crock pot before I go. It's what hubby requested. I'll be having chicken :) The rest of the family will be having mashed potatoes (that doesn't bother me, I don't like mashed potatoes!), and they will have corn on the cob as well while I have some cauliflower. I made chocolate chip bars for their dessert, and I will have a yogurt. I probably will not fit a workout in today as work will be very busy and I ... Mon, 3 Sep 2012 08:36:16 EST Recipes from the Ninja Pulse cookbook question http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x47217x49731349 When I bought the Ninja Pulse, it came with a nice cookbook. As I was looking through it, I noticed a lot of them could probably fit in with the 17DD. I don't want to post them on the recipe board/threads because I want to be positive they are compatible with this diet. So, would it be ok to post them here and get your opinion and then post them on the other board/threads? Sun, 2 Sep 2012 06:23:39 EST
