Basically, it's strict Paleo for 30 days. No grain, legumes, dairy, processed food, alcohol, or sugar. I forsee it being kind of challenging at first, then my period will come in and I'll want to jump off a bridge. But, I'm going to do it. It starts tomorrow, (1/2). May god have mercy on my soul.h Sun, 1 Jan 2017 19:29:23 EST Hello from Upstate NY Hello!! I'm back to Spark People again and recommitted to healthy eating and exercise. Mon, 2 Nov 2015 08:42:39 EST added sugars question I have been reading a lot about added sugars and was wondering if the sugars that are naturally in fruit count towards the daily recommended amount. It is time for me to get serious and change my eating and exercise habits.
My husband is not at all interested in eating healthy and our two teenage boys aren't too thrilled with whole grain pasta, quinoa, or buckwheat. They do like whole grain breads, so that's ... Sun, 18 Mar 2012 22:20:51 EST South Beach diet Hi I have posted a blog about this and also questioned it in some of my other teams so sorry if I am repeating myself but wanted to get a rounded view if possible. I am thinking of starting the South Beach diet as it seems to fit in with the kind of way I would like to retrain myself to eat. My one concern is the fact that he says you can use artificial sweetners which I dont like to do.

Does anyone already follow this diet or do you think it is not very good. I would love to get y... Fri, 16 Mar 2012 07:02:15 EST Hi, I'm new! Glad to be a part of a team that can help me in this area. I did a Daniel Fast at the beginning of the year & felt it really helped me feel better, have more energy & lose weight as a bonus. I stepped it up further by really trying to eat more foods in their whole state. I am far from being a vegan or eating totally raw, but I know I need to strive towards being more in control of what goes in my mouth. Any & all suggestions are welcome! 4 Thu, 15 Mar 2012 10:35:58 EST Whole foods while I'm working with an injury I won't be able to exercise normally for a while because I've fractured my ankle yesterday. I have yet to get the ankle stabilized, but I'm getting a referral for an orthopedic doctor. I feel it's more important than ever to get the right nutrition while my body is healing. I can move around on it okay when I wear slippers at home. I mainly stay in bed with foot elevated. I may be more mobile later. I don't know what the doc's recommendations will be. What would people recommend to hav... Tue, 13 Mar 2012 03:23:55 EST New and reading the happiness diet. Been eating less to none processed foods this past two weeks and I feel good. I went on a bad eating binge in Jan, Feb. got it under control now and lost the excess weight I gained. Now I am back to the weight I started SP at in Nov. I am taking a walk or doing T-Tapp each day. I treated SP as a game to get points on each day and see how fast I could go up the levels. I now do not allow myself to log in unless I exercised the previous day and watched what I ate. It is working for me. I love... Sun, 11 Mar 2012 12:46:56 EST So glad to find you! I have been donig alot of research over the last month or so about removing processed foods and moving toward eating more whole foods. Skinny Chicks eat Real Food was my inspiration by Christine Avanti. I loved her first book and moving toward this lifestyle was always my goal, but I had no clue how much was involved and what was really going on out there. I don't know anyone that is following this type of lifestyle so I am very glad to find some suport on SparkPeople!! Tue, 6 Mar 2012 10:50:03 EST Hello Hi, my name is Jacqui and I have a terrible relationship with food. In fact it feels as though it controls me which I know is ridiculous, how can a chocolate bar control a 35 year old women but it does at the moment!! Mon, 5 Mar 2012 09:49:24 EST Hey, glad to find this team Hi Everyone -
Just found this team via a comment on one of my blogs. Looks like it will be very helpful! I and my family have been moving steadily into the whole food movement over the past two years, starting with Food Inc and "Fast Food Nation" and now centering around "Wheatbelly" and "Why We Get Fat." We're working hard on eliminating processed foods from our collective diet, and have as of January gone gluten and wheat free. I'm really interested in this, both for my/our pers... I have about 10 more pounds to go. Over the past year, I have learned a lot about nutrition. One of the biggest things I have learned is that the closer to the earth you eat, the better. This is why I decided to join this team. I am trying to eat more whole foods instead of packaged ones! I am look... Mon, 27 Feb 2012 18:08:20 EST Anyone have kids used to crap food? I need help! So, I've been watching (or actually, just listening) to a bunch of TED talks online as I work today and one of them was very powerful. It's a talk by Ann Cooper, the Renegade Lunch Lady, which portrays school lunches and the terrible state that they are in right now as a social justice problem. Any ideas for some other substitutions I can make will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for you thoughts,

tere Thu, 20 Oct 2011 06:22:51 EST Natural Cancer Killers

et/natural-cancer-killers/?xid=nl_Ever
ydayHealthHealthyAging_20111019
Wed, 19 Oct 2011 20:39:17 EST Dried Cranberries Vs Chopped or Shaved Almonds I wanted to add an extra ingredient to my daily salad. I'm a stay at home mom to 15 month old twins. I joined sparkpeople in the hopes that I could lose the 40 extra pounds that I have been carrying around for the last 12 years. I am also hoping to start exercising and get my spending under control.
I've tried so many diets and while they all work I always lose motivation and gain the weight back. The same goes for my spending, I'll have periods of time where I am able to control it but then go off the deep up.... Mon, 17 Oct 2011 12:30:24 EST Hi Everyone! I'm fairly new to sparkpeople (this is my second go at it!) and new to the Whole Foods team! But we've been all about whole foods for a long time here at home - at least I am, as the main cook in the family! Some things I still get processed / canned or can't seem to do too well without are canned tomatoes (diced and crushed) and canned fish - like tuna, sardines, clams...although I do buy plenty of fresh fish and shellfish as well!! I'd like to make my own bread but since I don't I do get... Picked up "The Spark" at the library today and was impressed. Mon, 10 Oct 2011 12:57:23 EST Whole Foods for Heart Health Hi! My name is Yvonne and I'm new to the team. I say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I always include fresh fruits and vegetables it gets me going. This morning I had a banana and vegetable omelet (favorite breakfast). On other days it could be oatmeal mixed with fresh fruit or kashi cereal ( I love the berry mix). 30 Mon, 10 Oct 2011 12:27:37 EST New here Hi I am Jenn. I am new to the team, not to sparkpeople. I have been focusing hard on getting whole foods in our home for a while now and when I saw the team I jumped to join. If I have to buy it in a box I choose Kashi, or I don't get it at all, I make it! Yogurt topping, bread, granola, Pie crusts, I find it tastes better too, and I am not the best cook either lol. It is nice to join a group where so many people believe in the same thing. :) Sat, 8 Oct 2011 21:05:43 EST gluten free diet i need to have a gluten free diet any suggestions Sat, 8 Oct 2011 05:58:14 EST Breast Cancer Symotoms

-pictures/breast-cancer-symptoms-when-
should-you-worry.aspx?xid=nl_EverydayH
ealthHealthyAging_20111007#/slide-1
Fri, 7 Oct 2011 21:35:30 EST Hi everyone, I am excited to be in the spark group, I am excersing 3 to 4 days a wk, my goal is 5 to 6 days a wk.
