Hey everyone! I am Melissa. I was on Spark People for a while but stopped and gained a pretty considerable amount of weight. I think I just gave up for a while because it didn't seem that important. I have been feeling awful the past few months and when I stepped on the scale today I knew why. I am so ready to start feeling better about myself and become healthier and I think this challenge will push me to get back into a regular habit of exercising.
Sun, 25 Jan 2015 23:07:41 EST I'm New Here 524 I live in PA. In October of 2006 I decided I had to lose weight. I've lost 75 but need to lose more. My son bought me the Spark Activity Tracker for Christmas. So far it's giving me motivation. I keep telling myself I can at least do the 10 minutes, then I always do more. I lost that 75 lbs the first 2 years & kept it off. I just need a push to get me going again! Sat, 24 Jan 2015 21:33:41 EST Week 2 Discussion This week has been good. I have been out of the house almost everyday this week and recently figured out my phone has an app (LG Health) that automatically tracks my steps. It is really cool because it shows how many steps I walk in a day. It also tracks how many calories I burn for the day just by walking around. I'm enjoying this challenge and finding out I like working out. I have been doing anywhere from 7 to 15 minutes per workout sometimes doing more than one workout per day. I hope to ... Sat, 24 Jan 2015 00:18:03 EST Time to Mix Things Up I'm heading toward the end of week 3 and I'm feeling good. I've spent a lot of time on my exercise bike, walking and just started going back to the gym. Now that I seem to have a handle on getting "moving" everyday, it's time to add some new things, especially here at the house. I've ordered a mini trampoline, an exercise ball and a medicine ball to mix things up. I'd hate to lose my momentum from boredom. 381 Fri, 23 Jan 2015 04:33:21 EST Give Me Ten I have done this successfully before so I can do it again. 10 minutes minimum daily. Sat, 15 Nov 2014 07:50:29 EST Started Yesterday I started my challange yesterday. I am walking 30 minutes everyday. I walk from hoem to office and go back to home walking. It sometimes takes 15 or 20 minutes to walk to office from home so I am doing it everyday.
I used to walk with crutches in last 7 years. Now I got rid of them and I am trying to start exercise again. It is very difficult but it gets easier everyday. I am trying to learn to balance myself and walk without cruthes. I managed to exercise for two days and I am looking ... Fri, 14 Nov 2014 03:20:24 EST 10 min.: goal Feel better posture and that elusive stay out of bed longer each day. Thu, 13 Nov 2014 06:59:34 EST How do you get your exercise in? I work in 30+ minutes at least 3-5 x/week. Pool, senior aerobics, yogi, pilates, wgt room, circuit training, as many scheduled classes as I can fit into my calendar....and loving every minute of it!' This weekend, we had our 2 1/2yr old grandchild with us, for the whole weekend! Now I think I fit in all my classes, in just 3 days! LOL! But, starting tomorrow, I will be back to scheduled classes! Mon, 10 Nov 2014 16:26:56 EST Progress in week 3 Last week, I struggled to exercise every day- I think I only made it 4 days out of the week! This week, I exercised 6 days for longer periods of time. I slipped in sneaky exercise, I parked farther away from the store, and I had fun too! I tried a Bollywood dance video on spark- challenging, awkward, but fun! And, I made a workout out of dancing to some of my favorite songs- a huge calorie burn and I could really feel it. I want to finish strong in week 7, with at least 10 minutes the full 7 ... Mon, 10 Nov 2014 10:23:55 EST 10 minutes EVERY day I have been exercising more since starting SP than I have in the past several years, but it's on again and off again. I'm trying for at least a 10 min walk every day, particularly on the days when I have trouble getting going. Sun, 9 Nov 2014 13:10:55 EST Finding fun in Week 3 I read through the suggestions for ways to add more fun to exercise. Today I decided to listen to an audible book while I was taking my walk. I lucked into a great one called "Orphan Train." The woman who narrates it does a great job with the different voices. It was so good that I walked longer than I have since I began the challenge!

I still got to enjoy the beautiful day - once again, the sun came out while I was walking and the leaves are still changing, so it's just beautiful... Sat, 8 Nov 2014 13:25:34 EST 10 minutes realistic starting goal I worked out last month but got frustrated after 2 weeks because I pushed so hard and got bored and fed up. So I am on here trying to get motivated by checking in and starting with a small workout time so I know I can achieve it and be confident, before I know it I can add another five or ten minutes to that. Fri, 7 Nov 2014 18:43:03 EST 10 minutes a day I want to exercise for ten minutes everyday! I am hoping then I will become committed to exercise and hopefully lose some weight! Fri, 7 Nov 2014 16:10:11 EST hi! I'm not new to Sparks, just lost for awhile. Found out almost two years ago that I have celiac. So for me carbs and calories are high with gluten free foods, so I gained my weight back and then some. Trying to loss 30 lbs. I do better when I wright things down, so I figured join a group might help more. Thu, 6 Nov 2014 07:00:48 EST week 2 reflections I added strength training this week and I can really feel it, but it is a good feel it.

I'm feeling changes in my clothes and bought some new stuff and I'm super excited! People can tell that I'm losing inches which means the exercise is paying off! Wed, 5 Nov 2014 18:55:56 EST Starting something new I am starting this challenge to keep myself motivated to move and lose some weight. Wed, 5 Nov 2014 16:20:31 EST Week 2 reflections Week 2 was hard on me. I had a lot of stress, there was a lot going on. I definitely didn't go on a 7 day streak of exercise. It was more like 3 or 4 days. Having said that, it's more than I would have done 3 weeks ago, so I'm still ok with the results.

As for slipping in more exercise, I made a point of carrying more groceries, doing chores, etc.. I definitely could try applying more of the ideas this week though. There's room for improvement but I am not giving up. Wed, 5 Nov 2014 11:25:39 EST 10 min. Starting today! We can do this! Wed, 5 Nov 2014 11:03:47 EST Includes my Son! My goal is to get my son moving more also. Trying ot be a positive influence and teach him to lead a healthier life style. Mon, 3 Nov 2014 13:00:43 EST New to Spark I lost 50lbs on myfitnesspal back in 2010-2011 and I've been slowly gaining it back since I stopped tracking in 2012. I'm here so I don't lose all that work I've done and to get me back on track. Mon, 3 Nov 2014 03:18:08 EST Week one day one I did it. A 9 minute upper body. Yeah Sun, 2 Nov 2014 23:21:45 EST Week 2 and I'm off I read the two articles on how to add more activity into my everyday life. Last night, I went to the grocery and parked in the farthest space from the store. I have been trying to just get up and do more- get my husband a glass of water instead of waiting for him to get it, picking up something that needs moving to another room instead of waiting for things to pile up.

Today it's really cold, so I am going to wait until the middle of the day for my walk, but I like having this str... Sun, 2 Nov 2014 10:11:25 EST Today! TodayI start my journey 11/01/4 10 mins will be the minimum that I give to myself! Sun, 2 Nov 2014 00:14:59 EST Starting a new streak again I have started over so many times, but hopefully this time will be different. My knee has been bothering me the last year in a half. Thought it was work because I work on concrete 10 hours a day. Finally went to doctor and he sent me to therapy.

The therapist gave me some exercises to do that will hopefully help.

I will start my streak tomorrow. I am still so tired. Did not get home until after 11 last night after taking my son trick or treating. Sat, 1 Nov 2014 21:40:20 EST 10 Minutes a Day? Yeah I can! Hi! I'm Debi and I just joined SparkPeople this morning. I also got up this morning, knowing that TODAY was gonna be "the" day to start on my weight loss journey.

This time around though, I am not gonna do the things I've always done before, because frankly, they haven't worked.

When I signed up, I could check as to whether I wanted to lose one pound or two pounds per week. I initially clicked on the two pounds but then changed my mind and clicked on one po... Sat, 1 Nov 2014 11:56:14 EST Late Intro Hi my name is Donna and I am 58 years old. I have actually been tracking my time for a while now but just noticed the introduction topic.
I am going to loose 40 pounds so am joining this group to help me with keeping up my exercise. I plan to do more than 10 min but by belonging to the group hope it will make sure I do at least 10 min everyday 189 . Thu, 30 Oct 2014 10:49:50 EST Starting a new streak Today is day 2 of my new 10-minute exercise streak. I did two hours of heavy cleaning yesterday, in preparation for my trip this week. This morning I am going for a walk. I now have the Spark app on my phone so I can track my exercise even if I don't have internet access.

My goal is to do 10 minutes, no matter what! Mon, 27 Oct 2014 08:16:20 EST 4 we challenge goals I will do my P.T. exercises for 10 min. Everyday. It's been tough being consistent while being ill. Sun, 26 Oct 2014 14:37:50 EST Week 1 reflections With a little mindfulness it isn't that hard to get in 10 min. Just marching in place through part of a TV show will get it done. A small start gives me a platform to build on. How about 10 min. 3X day? I know I need to get limbered up and work on my stamina so I can start doing some of the more "energetic" type work outs. But every step forward is a step closer the healthy person I would like to be. Now to "step it up" for week 2 :-) Sat, 25 Oct 2014 19:50:13 EST Should I start over? By the time I got home yesterday, I was really hurting. I had taken a 30 minute walk the day before and then later unexpectedly did about an hour of gardening with a friend. End result: I did not do ten minutes yesterday. I am not beating myself over this - I know part of what I am learning to do is pace myself. I can't overdo it the way I could when I was younger and in better health. Just have to start my streak over.

I feel good today and plan to go for a walk.

I am ... Sat, 25 Oct 2014 12:01:51 EST away from home Been away from my home for almost two weeks. I have been trying to go out walking everyday whether it's taking out the dogs or going for a mile to 2 mile walk. I have done a few 10 minute workouts and a BL walk. I have also done a strength training using my body weight but am missing my weights. Just glad that I am moving. knowing I should move a minimum of 10 mins keeps me grounded. 334 Fri, 24 Oct 2014 17:20:01 EST Week 1 I realized that I can't make myself go to the gym. It's too easy to say I don't have time or I don't feel like driving up there. Then I feel obligated to stay for an hour. I'm not at a point where I can exercise for an hour straight, ten or fifteen minutes makes WAY more sense. I'm doing WAY better at getting in at least half an hour of exercise over the day if I do that then I was before. I do fifteen before I go to work, which means I'm actually getting up in the morning, which is a da... Fri, 24 Oct 2014 10:33:00 EST new to the team New to the group. I have been doing 10 minute workouts for a short time and find them to work for me. I also have started to do some 5 and 7 minutes that I do more than once, sometimes right after each other or split through out the day. Looking forward to being more accountable and consistent. Thanks for a place to do this. Thu, 23 Oct 2014 17:28:34 EST Lynnie's Accountability Thread I will update as I have the time so I may not have time to post each day but I WILL be doing at least 10 minutes a day.

48 10.22.14 ~ 10 minutes walking

48 10.23.14 ~ 10 minutes sweeping 40 pounds of leaves off my roofless porch here in the country; vacuumed 3 rooms

48 10.24.14 ~ 15 minutes Cleaned bathroom, did laundry, 10 minutes walked dog

48 10.25.14 ~ 5 minutes stretching, 10 minutes chair dancing... Thu, 23 Oct 2014 13:22:41 EST I am doing a little more each day! Yesterday my legs were sore, so I did some gardening instead. I helped a friend harvest Hibiscus. It was a great way to spend some time together and I have two pitchers of fresh hibiscus tea in the fridge -perfect for my husband who has a terrible cold.

Today I walked for 30 minutes! I am going to hit the magnesium lotion for my legs immediately, rather than wait for the soreness. Thu, 23 Oct 2014 12:33:55 EST Finishing this challenge Hi All
I have not seen anything like this but if there has I am sorry to repeat it. BUT

When you have done the four weeks you don't have to stop the ten minutes. There are a lot of members who have done this challenge for over a year (August last year I think for me).

For me it is a matter of trying to, one keep me motivated and, two help to motivate others, after all we all need that sometime.

Stay healthy and keep moving

Trev
Wed, 22 Oct 2014 04:52:32 EST Week 1 goal do at least 10 minutes of ex every single day without failure! Tue, 21 Oct 2014 11:52:59 EST How do you keep from getting bored? Part of my challenge is getting bored, especially when I think I'm at my goal time only to find I've been walking or biking 3 or 4 minutes. Mon, 20 Oct 2014 23:09:49 EST Major accomplishment tonight I had a long, hectic day and was not feeling so well by the end of it. I cooked dinner, watched some tv, got on to Sparkpeople to track my stuff for the day and, there it was : I hadn't done my 10 minutes. I said to my husband that I would take the dog for a walk. He said it wasn't necessary. I silently agreed with him, and did a little more on the internet. I decided I really didn't want to give up my goal on day 2, so got up at 10:30 p.m. and went for a 15 minute walk with my pup. I am a li... Sun, 19 Oct 2014 20:39:47 EST My battle with medicine side effects I now exercise 2-3 times a day. I do this because if I don't I start gaining weight because of my medicine. I can't fit in anymore exercise into my day. I don't want to over train. I am taking a close look at what I eat to see what I can do to lose more weight and keep it off. I find that what works for me is often more extreme than what I have needed to do in the past. Yet, the medicine works and I thank God for that. I will just make my own discoveries and find out how to stay health... Tue, 14 Oct 2014 21:38:21 EST Hello everyone! I hate going to the gym, no I despise going to the gym so I usually do not go. I have tried doing things at home on my own and tend to only last a few days, maybe a week before I get bored and move on to something else. I am definitely ready to give Spark a try and I think that if I can remember to log on daily, I should be able to start and keep a routine. Thu, 11 Sep 2014 15:33:01 EST Week 1 Day 1 I am accepting the 10 min a day challenge!!

I know I have a long way to go, but small steps will get me there! Thu, 11 Sep 2014 15:27:01 EST introduction Hi everyone. New to Spark as of this month. So far loving it. 10 min of daily exercise is very doable. I walked for 23 min. today Thu, 11 Sep 2014 11:41:42 EST Started training to run a 5K This morning I was researching on how to run with proper steps, posture , breathing etc because I truly want to be able to be able to run a 5K all the way through.

I have begun training for the first time this morning and did 5 mins warm up and 5 minutes cool down. In between walk 4 mins run 1 min times 3 for a total of 20 mins.
I am determined to do this once and for all.
Wed, 10 Sep 2014 11:34:55 EST 10 Minute Challenge Anyone can find 10 minutes a day to exercise and I am accepting this challenge as a point to start my weight loss program. I will exercise AT LEAST 10 minutes EVERY day and track my goals on this site. Tue, 9 Sep 2014 13:15:32 EST Reflections Week two looking back i can see i did extra exercise/work outs with my husband when we went out shopping via bus/walking for four hours with my husband. We had to carry everything as we do not have a car.

I also used my resistance band when I watch tv to get in extra strength training. Mon, 8 Sep 2014 14:13:37 EST Date and times Today I have noticed that the posting dates are wrong. The one that I and a few others posted yesterday are dated 8/7/14 or something like that, but should read 9/7/14.

I wonder what this does to the postings
Mon, 8 Sep 2014 10:38:47 EST Week 1 Goals My goal this week is to get up every morning and do week 1 of Slim in 6, go to Tae Kwon Do Class Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Drink water everyday and track all calories eatern Sun, 7 Sep 2014 09:38:20 EST Week One I need to work out realistic ways to fit in my exercise because if it is not then I will give up. Once the kids are back at school on Monday it should be easy to fit in 10 minutes and I plan to do Spark Videos. 362

Tomorrow we are going to a theme park so the amount of walking I will be doing will count as it is very hilly there. 311

Today I am struggling because we have a really busy day ahead. I am hoping to get in a spark video later on this ... Sat, 6 Sep 2014 05:50:51 EST Goals for week one My goals for week one are simple - 10 minutes of intentional exercise each day and to drink 8 glasses of water.

So far I have done two 12 minute workouts on two days this week, and went for a walk with the OH one day and a walk with my dad on the other.

The water drinking is not so good - it's worse when I have days off work but I have seven days straight at work starting today so that should help the water drinking! Sat, 6 Sep 2014 03:05:03 EST Need help on what to do for a 10 minute work out Should different types of exercises be done across different days? What types of exercise are recommended if one is just starting out? Yesterday for my 1st day of the 10 minute challenge, I did the 15 minute ab video.
Fri, 5 Sep 2014 07:48:26 EST 10 minutes daily starting now. 521
12 minutes of Wii Fit. Wed, 3 Sep 2014 22:23:31 EST just joined SPARK today Hi all, my name is Connie and I just joined Spark today. I've been dieting and exercising for 5 weeks and I'm down 5 pounds but was needing more motivation and direction. Looks like Spark is the way to go! Loving this community already! Wed, 3 Sep 2014 21:16:23 EST Getting moving again Hi, I've just joined the challenge. I've been on and off with exercise for the last two years, I'd lose a bit and gain a bit. Due to work and stress etc I'm back to just under my highest weight. Consistent exercise is my biggest problem so I have challenged myself to 10 minutes a day, every day. Then I found this challenge so I've joined to try and give me a bit of accountability! Wed, 3 Sep 2014 04:20:19 EST 10 minutes in the morning My week 1 goal is to get up and do 10 minutes on the elliptical machine each morning. 249 Mon, 1 Sep 2014 22:53:21 EST Intentional Exercise for 10 Minutes Every Day I feel that I've been 'slacking' by doing the ho-hum DVD workouts that I've stuck with over the years. Using the Spark Tracker and setting out to get a 10 minute 'walk-event' has motivated me to get out there and DO it! I enjoy the way I've been feeling, and hope to continue this way indefinitely.
I am concerned when cold weather and icy roads are here I won't be able to walk in the morning like I do now; right out the door with the dog and away we go; that is HARD in the winter time! ... Mon, 1 Sep 2014 21:00:14 EST I'm back I started this challenge a few times. I found a workout that was easy but it had squats and my knees hurt to bad. I did the first week and got discouraged because of my knees. If someone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. I asked before but I lost the post. I'm going to push myself to do something. Mon, 1 Sep 2014 18:31:58 EST Stroke & Cancer Recovery 1. Hi Im Katy and this is my first day on Sparkpeople and in this group. Im hoping that Sparkpeople can give me the motivation I need not just to lose the weight but keep it off.

Over the next four weeks I hope to increase my activity level and get outside more. I plan to focus on walking. Mon, 1 Sep 2014 05:42:16 EST Just starting the Challenge I always like a challenge, and this looked like a great one to sign up for.

I am Amanda, I have diabetes and high blood pressure and I find that exercise is the best way for me to control that issue, however I also find that my blood sugar crashes very easy because of it! I am working on that control and may even be getting off of some medications soon because of exercise and sparkspeople!

I hope to beat my challenge of 10 minutes per day as I am already doing, but I li... Sun, 31 Aug 2014 14:32:01 EST Week One Goals Since I just started, and it told me to set a goal and I LOVE goals I am going to do so!

My goal for this week is to increase my exercise time and intensity. I would like to do thirty minutes a day at a medium intensity if I can =) Sun, 31 Aug 2014 14:27:18 EST September goals I plan to add 10 minutes of strength training every day to my regular workouts. I've gotten into a rut and am ready to break out starting today. Sat, 30 Aug 2014 22:44:54 EST Hard to exercise I have been finding it hard to exercise since returning to work. I have been moving around a lot, but I don't count that time. Perhaps I should because it is difficult to carve out time each day. I manage to walk my dog around the block (about 1 mile). I know I need to do much more in order to lose weight. Next week I am hoping I can get into a routine. Sat, 30 Aug 2014 18:11:13 EST Going on Vacation with the Tracker I plan to visit my son in KY next month. I think I could just take my Tracker, download the software on HIS computer, and check in as usual...
Or, should I just BE on vacation, and maybe log in to the site, but not track my steps? Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else taken the Tracker along with them on a trip? Sat, 30 Aug 2014 06:20:34 EST Begin 10-Minutes of Daily Exercise Challenge Today is the day I am beginning this challenge. I've been getting 10 min 3x a week (per a challenge with my work's health care program), now I am ready to increase this to 7 days a week! I have the time to accomplish this, and the motivation is there! Ready, set, go!! Wed, 27 Aug 2014 15:23:26 EST No Fooling Myself with the Tracker! That little black bug is pretty strict! Even though I think I do a 20 minute workout, if it includes stretching, standing there and lifting weights, etc., the answer is NO I didn't do that much.
Twice now I have 'failed to meet my goal' on the days when I work out to a DVD in the morning then have to go to work, without taking a walk or doing something to purposefully move my feet for 10 minutes straight.
I am not complaining; just observing, because that's a good thing to have le... So, if I have a busy day I HAVE to do at least 10 minutes of exercise.
24 minute walk done today and 50 squats. Sun, 24 Aug 2014 13:21:38 EST my goal for week 1 My week 1 goal is to do the 10 minute challenge everyday with my kids. I want them healthy too!!! Sun, 24 Aug 2014 11:08:10 EST Using Coach Nichol's 28 Day Challenge I ordered Coach Nichole’s 28 Day Challenge DVD at the same time I ordered the Tracker; so today, August 24, 2014 I am going to start the challenge.
My weight this morning is 172.6. It is my weigh in day, and I am disappointed I couldn’t make it all the way down to 172; but I’m still pleased that I’m no longer 175 and climbing. Obviously this didn’t happen by wishing for it, so I need to use the tools the site is giving me and work.
Sun, 24 Aug 2014 11:00:40 EST finally week three Today, I am taking a Thai CHI class. Sat, 23 Aug 2014 09:20:42 EST First Test So this is my first test on the challenge as I am fighting the flu it seems and I just want to stay in bed.

My initial goal was to overcome exactly this type of thing, hibernating and ditching my goals when I don't feel great. I can manage a 10 minute walk for some fresh air I'm really not that bad, but it's a mental battle isn't it, " I'm sick so I must stay in bed bundled up" is entirely just an attitude, not infallible truth.

I will decrease by aerobic activity, bu... Thu, 21 Aug 2014 02:38:47 EST Making a change! Hey! I just joined the challenge today and I'm really excited about getting started. I've always made an excuse about not having time to work out because of my 10-12 hour class days. Hoping to continually work out at least 10mins a day or more after the challenge ends! Wed, 20 Aug 2014 12:47:04 EST I can so do this. I can so do this everyday. Wed, 20 Aug 2014 11:14:58 EST I can so do this. I am wanting to lose 50-80 lbs within a year. I just watched Leslie Sansone video Walk it off in 30 days that I borrowed from neighbor. I believe I am going to buy it. Wed, 20 Aug 2014 11:08:04 EST How do I enter # of steps Yesterday at work I did 23,551 steps, today I did 13,303 steps just at work. Does anyone know how to enter steps into the exercise tracker on the site? Mon, 18 Aug 2014 14:50:26 EST Week 3 Goals I am hoping to get a lot of activity in this week. My goal is to add additional minutes to my daily walks and add an activity that I don't usually do like swim. I used to swim a lot, but haven't for a while now. I would also like to find a walking trail to go on. We'll see how it goes. Sun, 17 Aug 2014 16:26:50 EST Rough week staying on food/exercise plan I started this challenge on 8/13 and only exercised 2 days. My motivation beginning this challenge was great and then I stopped exercising. I do not know how to get serious about exercise and eating right. I have gained 30 lbs. since December and I am very unhappy about being so out of shape and not fitting into my clothes. I need to get my mojo back! Sun, 17 Aug 2014 10:28:06 EST W1 goals Just to get 10 minutes in and so far I'm on day 4 and I'm rocking it! I'm doing the 7 day bootcamp and unfortunately I forget my cardio but do walk a lot. So that plus my 10 minute workout videos I've been doing well and I'm proud to have been able to do at least a 10 minute video. Sat, 16 Aug 2014 12:47:54 EST week 3 I am enjoying this challenge. I didn't get a workout in but I did do some walking today. Fri, 15 Aug 2014 22:21:19 EST new here Hi..I have arthritis in my whole body and I am using sparkspeople to keep me going. Thu, 14 Aug 2014 19:16:06 EST Goals New to team. I believe the 10 minute exercise goal will motivate me better than finding 30-60 minutes to exercise. Thu, 14 Aug 2014 14:59:04 EST Week 1 Goals I am definitely one of the people who "claims" that life gets too busy to exercise which in my mind has always been equivalent to ONLY going to the gym. I have now decided that I want to adopt exercise into my life in a more enjoyable way such as taking the dogs for a walk on the trail, playing tennis, etc. I want to start this goal by doing at least 15 minutes of exercise a day to get into the habit. Thu, 14 Aug 2014 14:39:34 EST I want to lose 50 pounds before my Cruise in June I went on a cruise this past June and when I looked back at all my pictures, I looked like a fat cow and I don't want to look that way next year when we go on our next cruise. The week of the 24th she has a week off and I will be busy with a lot of things; I am going to ask her what I should work on that week, but I am not asking for a "substitute trainer" as I am not sure what time will be best for me to go in that week. Wish me luck! and good luck to all of you! Wed, 6 Aug 2014 11:08:34 EST Short or Long workouts? I've been exercising for a long time so I think it's okay for me to do an hour a day. It's easy for me to run in intervals for fifteen minutes then walk on an incline for forty five.

I already started out with the ten minute routine so now I've advanced to an hour. Sun, 3 Aug 2014 19:28:06 EST Week 3 Forum I was sick mid-week, so I only managed 4 days of 10 minute or more exercising. Sun, 3 Aug 2014 19:24:22 EST My week two reflections. I battle some chronic illnesses, which raised their ugly head this week. I know I do much better the days I exercised, so I made water aerobics class three out of four times this week. I walked, which also helps the FIBRO pain, 4 out of 5 days so far. I tried to stay in calorie range, and have a deficit of -500 calories, which I made 4 out of 5 days so far.

I refuse to let the four headed dragon of diabetes, fibro, bi-polar and IBS win. My life gets very stressful, and at the time I thought participating in the 10-Minute Daily Challenge would keep me on track with my personal goals. As things grew more stressful, I became less focused on exercise and more focused on my work. I guess this is my personal normal, something I need to work on. One thing I don't do is give up easily, so I am back. My goal for this challenge is to get 10 minutes of arm exercises in each day. I ... Fri, 1 Aug 2014 21:22:24 EST FUN! I'm really great at starting but not so great at finishing things. Especially when it comes to sticking with exercising. My goal is to do at least 20 minutes of exercise everyday. Today is day 2 and I went for my 27 minute walk :-) Tue, 15 Jul 2014 20:50:11 EST Week 1 I joined this challenge because some days I'm on point regarding exercise, and some days I don't do anything. I will move at least 10 minutes (in a row) this week!! Mon, 14 Jul 2014 12:48:04 EST What I hope to accomplish this week I hope to walk my dog once a day for at least 5 days. Mon, 14 Jul 2014 08:55:18 EST My goals I've been trying to walk everyday. Since I don't have a gym membership or a treadmill I've been going outside on the days it is not raining. My goal for this challenge is to walk every clear day and do a kettlebell workout on the rainy days. I expect to have a little trouble around this time next week as I'll be taking my medical board exams but I think I will be able to pull off at minimum a 10 minute walk. Sat, 12 Jul 2014 13:33:12 EST Last day of week 1 Have been totally exhausted this week. Monday - Thursday did not exercise, but I do have a pedometer on my cell phone .
