Two years ago I found two bald spots on my head, they were unnoticeable but not to me. I went to the doctors and they tested me for everything under the sun and everything came back ok except my iron. I have alopecia areata due to low iron, stress from yo yo dieting. I was told to take iron supplements that my doctor subscribed and have injections in my head. The injections stopped and my hair grew back and I stopped taking the i... I'll be 60 in just over a month and I really do want to live a healthy retirement. At the moment I just feel so demoralised and demotivated, so perhaps joining a team of people with the same problem, this will help me pull up my socks and start yo-yo-ing in the right direction - down for good! 46 Rosa Mon, 30 Apr 2012 16:21:45 EST Our Bodies are a Gift http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x41711x47303909 “I’ve learned through God’s Word that the body He gave me is good. I have had to fight all day with myself because I feel like I just can't do this without joining some club where you get weighed by someone every week. Perhaps the week-ends are a bit more likely to cause me to gain weight than during the week. I think it's because I'm more likely to eat in a restaurant then, and their food is loaded with salt and fat.

It may depend a bit on what's going on in my life too as I tend to turn to ice cream or salty, crunch type foods when I'm upset.
