SparkPeople SP Class of March 14-20, 2010 Team Messageboard To Love Me again I am 34, been married for almost 15 years to my amazing husband, whom met me at 17 and spunky. I was pleasantly thick in the right places, but was always the BIG girl compared to my friends. We have two wonderful boys who are very active in sports. I lost 80 pounds about 7 years ago and felt wonderful, then I changed to a desk job with high stress and pot lucks galore and gained 100 back. Now here I am fat and sassy, however, disappointed with my reflection. I love my inner me and my family, ... Fri, 7 Jan 2011 05:37:58 EST How do I motivate myself to a size I've never been I've been overweight my whole life and while my friends are able to say that they're trying to get down to a certain size because they remember how it feels to be smaller, prettier etc, I don't have that motivation. I've never been anything but big. I don't know what its like to feel healthy or smaller or prettier. How do I motivate myself when I don't even know if I'll be happy with myself at a lesser weight? Thu, 6 Jan 2011 23:23:08 EST Who's still in, and how are you doing? Hi all,

We've been at this since March. I am doing well with tracking my food and eating well. I enjoy following the blogs of about 35 friends. I enjoy the daily spark emails. I use the recipes. My fitness is only fair.... I am down 30 pounds from my all time high, and 16 pounds since joining SP. How about you? Sun, 24 Oct 2010 11:32:44 EST Wanting to get back to my dancing weight Hi, I'm Carhocker. I turned 50 in March. I believe you get wiser as you get older, but with weight loss, this doesn't seem to be the case because I officially weigh the most I've ever weighed. Although I've always been somewhat active, I'm finding it harder to do the physical activities I once enjoyed, especially dancing. I'm here to find support from people who understand my dilema. Thanks! Mon, 27 Sep 2010 09:21:45 EST Reintroduce yourselves today--6 months later! So here we are on the verge of celebrate 6 months with SparkPeople. What changes have become part of your life? I was just wondering how everyone was incorporating exercise into their daily lives. What exercise are you doing? Are you following SP fitness program or doing something else? Sun, 29 Aug 2010 12:58:15 EST Trying to hop back on... I got married and fell off the wagon. I want to get back on, and I'm trying everything I can. But it's so discouraging that my jeans are tight and my shorts don't fit, and that I can see that 10 extra pounds I gained every time I look in the mirror. Now I have 30 pounds to lose, and it's so daunting. How do I re-motivate myself when I feel so gross? Mon, 23 Aug 2010 14:11:07 EST Hi there from NY Hi everyone.

I'm posting on here for the first time, and I'm here to offer encouragement and support to everyone here.

So here's my story...

I've never been particularly thin. As a kid, I was called "stocky" and I remember being forced to shop in the huskies department of any store, which was pretty embarassing. I did a successful weight plan when I was in my early 20s, I remember I didn't diet at all, I just did lots of exercise, and I remember losing about... Thu, 29 Jul 2010 14:56:16 EST Greetings from Louisiana Hi, I am new to SPark People and haven't been too serious about losing the weight until the last 2 weeks. I'm doing much better since I set small goals. Last week my goal was walk 3x a week and lose 2 lbs. I did it! Before that my goals would be train for a 5K, eat healthy, clean and organize my house, cure a disease, and if I didn't accomplish all then I chalked it up as a loss 20 Fortunately for me (and my family) I am realizing slow and steady and a more balance approach rea... Let's take a moment to reflect.
What is your biggest success?
What is your next challenge to conquer?

My success is the entire life change I have undergone. Yes, I have lost more than 20 pounds but it is the awareness of making good decisions all through the day, week, and month that made that possible.
My challenge will come when I return to work the first week of August. I hope I do not see the scale cr... Wed, 14 Jul 2010 08:59:33 EST Not computer friendly. Hi.I joined spark people the same week you all did, but just now am trying to figure out how to do anything but log my weight, diet, and exercise. I had 50 pounds to lose when I started. I am re-posting it here, and would love to have you elaborate a bit more.

Most of us eat 3 times a day; which is totally incorrect. The trick to sensible eating is often and in small portions [e.g. every 2-3 hours]. Then the body breaks down food more efficiently. Combine 8 glasses of water per day with this, and th...
