I gained five pounds during the Christmas break. So far I've managed to lose three pounds. This is a set back for me because my goal is to lose 50-lbs by June 2010, so far I've only lost 15. It's really going slowly, but I won't let it get me down. Just have to put more effort and time into reaching my goal.
So, how's it going for you?
Mon, 18 Jan 2010 11:21:31 EST New in Town My name is Mike and I am pretty new on SP. Sun, 10 Jan 2010 15:36:20 EST Hello I just joined SparkPeople a few days ago, and since walking has been my usual "go to" form of exercise, this seems like a perfect group to join! I always thought you clipped it to your waist but I saw one gal who had it clipped to her shoe. Also I did check the other post about suggestions on buying a pedometer which I will try because I think in the past the ones I've gotten were cheap so they didn't track my steps correctly (I think maybe I was using it wrong). They slip on to your shoes, not cleats but rubber cords with little metal rings to help with traction in snow and ice. I live in WI and have a dog that has to walk outside. I'm afraid to get heavy duty cleats in case I accidentally step on his paw (he tends to get in the way sometimes) and the YakTraxs seem, in theory, to provide better traction anyway.
