Well I guess the message title says it all. I recently became a bride to be when my boyfriend of 1 1/2 years proposed to me on September 12, 2010. It was so romantic. We took a vacation to Niagara Falls, Ontario. He waited and proposed by the falls at night when they were all illuminated in greens, blues, reds and whites. I'm so excited to become his wife. We set our date, September 17, 2011. Now the planning begins. Talk about stressful!

I'm no stranger at trying to l... Tue, 12 Oct 2010 22:42:36 EST Return Hello. I'm back on Spark after a few months break that grew from just christmas to holy cow it's summer. I've managed to maintain my previous weight loss but have much much farther to go. So hello again to all of you, and nice to meet those that have joined since. Mon, 7 Jun 2010 18:06:40 EST Introduction Hello
I am joining to get healthy and fit and to lose weight. I want to gain confidence and happiness through this experience. Thanks! Mon, 29 Mar 2010 16:21:22 EST Changing myself for good this time! Like many, I am someone who has started diet after diet with no sucess! Each time falling off after a week or two at most because of unreasonable expectations. This time is different! With a small goal of only a pound loss per week I have been able to stick with it for a full month now. I am happy to say that I have lost more than my goal and feel like this is a new lifestyle for me not just a quick fad. Counting my calories with sparkpeople has been a real eye-opener to the countless mi... Thu, 25 Feb 2010 10:29:13 EST hey everyone! i'm a 30-something new mom. i'm trying to lose baby weight. i've been overweight my whole life, except for a 3 year period about 5 years ago. i lost 70 lbs with diet and exercise {so i KNOW i can do this}. unfortunately, i let life get in the way of my health, and now i'm at my heaviest ever. i'm reasonably active, but my diet is horrible. i'm totally excited to get fit and start living my life again! Sun, 21 Feb 2010 21:31:51 EST New to message center I'm not really new to SparkPeople, I've been here since November. But until recently I wasn't serious about any of it. Since Jan. 9th I have been seriously changing my lifestyle. I now exercise 5 or 6 times a week, I log my food, and use SparkRecipes frequently. I follow the guidelines for calories and fat grams, and I use Alli faithfully. I have about 60 lbs to lose, but am trying to be realistic about and give myself plenty of time to do it. For me, this is a lifestyle change, not a "diet'.... Fri, 19 Feb 2010 18:21:08 EST Anyone Doing the 28 Day Challenge? I started mine today. Anyone want to start it with me? Got the book? Mon, 1 Feb 2010 18:57:15 EST Its time to get SERIOUS!! My name is Amythyst, and I really in for it this time. I picked up the Spark book at my local library this week and have been heavily taking notes from it. I'm excited to jump back on this website and see all it has to offer. I am new to spark people and I am looking forward to gain friendships and support while sheading pounds! I don't have a long way to go to reach my goal I just have trouble staying motivated. I have jumped in and doing a couple challenges and I think this will be fun! Thu, 14 Jan 2010 17:00:26 EST Do you count vitamin water as water? I am recovering from food poisoning and was told to drink sports drinks or pedialyte in order to stay hydrated and make up for the electrolytes that I lost. After 2 days, i can't drink anymore G2 (Gatorade's low calorie drink) but I still feel like I need something more than water, so i've been drinking vitamin water 10. I know I need to keep track of this in my nutrition tracker, but my question is, do I count this as water as well? Thu, 14 Jan 2010 15:12:35 EST Just saying "HI" HI !!!!! So I've banned the "diet" word and I'm sortin my life out step by step! Getting back into excercise, loving the gym, BodyPump and 30 Day Shred - watching what I'm eating, but not obsessively - its time to ring in the changes in 2010 and just be more positive and happy!! Thu, 31 Dec 2009 10:51:13 EST Hoping for Success in 2010 I joined Sparkpeople a few months ago, but never started the program. I saw the Bootcamp and now I'm feeling motivated to do get started. I've been down the weightloss road before having lost 50 pounds and maintained it for three years. Then I welcomed my fourth child into the world along with another hefty weight gain. Problem is, he's 2 and a half and I've gained weight since his birth instead of losing. So, here's to 2010 and the possibilities the new year holds! Wed, 30 Dec 2009 11:14:28 EST How tall are you? I've always thought it would be helpful to know how tall folks are, because it puts weight loss into proper perspective. For instance, I weigh 179 lbs., which to some might not seem like a lot, and I suppose it wouldn't be alot if I were 5'10".

In my case, however, I am only 5'2" tall.

How tall are each of you? Wed, 30 Dec 2009 10:46:44 EST Printable tape measure So...I've been using the printable tape measure on here, and I think I'm going crazy. I was flipping through a catalog, and based on the size chart they had, I should be a size 22-ish. But, I always wear 10/12s or size medium. Either i'm competely delusional and squeezing myself into clothes waaaay to small on me without feeling uncomfortable and with everyone (including my hyper-critical mom) being too polite to tell me, or something's wrong. I re-printed the tape measure and made sure t... Tue, 22 Dec 2009 16:24:03 EST Hi, I'm Suzanne I'm Suzanne. I was a little late to the game in joining this team, but didn't even realize there were SP Class teams. :-)

I turned thirty a couple of weeks back. For as long as I can remember I promised to have my weight under control by the time thirty came around. That, obviously, hasn't happened.

Here I am again tackling the weight loss issue. Some months ago, I hit the highest point on the scale I'd ever seen. Back in June I weighed 292 lbs, and am sure that at some... Thu, 17 Dec 2009 23:32:03 EST Getting Back on Track Hello all.

It’s been a while, I know, however, I thought I’d post an update while I have some time on my hands.

Well, I’ve been bad off / on the last week and a ½ - 2 weeks. Thanksgiving thru me off (as holidays usually do – LOL) and the next week I was sick for several days and laid up in bed (hubby’s orders *LOL*). So I haven’t been really exercising. I’ve been sticking to doing the portion sizes the best I can and not snack so frequently like I usually have been ... Sun, 6 Dec 2009 22:21:10 EST Ali from Georgia Hi everyone!! Just this year (maybe partly because of not smoking) I have gained a total of 15 pounds and was carrying another 15 before that. Because of my age and the slow-down in metabolism due to the thyroid issues and the smoking cessation, I'm a little afraid of failing. I'm willing to do what I need to do. In a little less than a year, I lost about 25 pounds, and I've stayed around that weight for about a year. Right now I am hovering around 120-123, p...
