My name is Becca. I am new to the message boards, but not to SparkPeople; I've been here on and off since October 2009ish. I have a very busy life and am constantly battling how to live a healthier lifestyle. I'd like to lose around 25 pounds, but more than that, I'd like to be more active so that I can model a healthy lifestyle for my 3 kids. I work full time, am taking classes online through our local university, and have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 15 years.... Tue, 3 Nov 2009 11:23:33 EST transition from WW to SP...any suggestions?? Hi All,
I am fairly new to SP...signed up for it then took a while to get around navigating the site and such. Anyway...I wanted to know if anyone had advice on changing from a WW member (which I was before a surgery in June) to a SP member? I am a planner and have all of my dinners planned for my family through WW meals for an entire month at a time. This helps with not eating out for me. Will those recipes still work for SP? Thanks for taking the time to listen and offer advice. Wed, 21 Oct 2009 11:12:55 EST Tracking other nutrients ... sugar, in particular Hello! I would like to track my sugar consumption, so I tried adding it to my nutrition goals, but "Sugar" is not on the list. There is glucose, and sucrose, so I tried tracking that, but in my summary for today, it showed just one gram of each for today, so I know it's not tracking accurately. Is there a way to track total sugar, as in the sugar amounts that are on the nutrition labels?
Thanks in advance,
Barbara ;-) Tue, 20 Oct 2009 23:20:46 EST Still Hungry? I have been doing pretty good at keeping within my calorie goals every day and am making an effort to have balanced meals, but I find that after most meals i am still hungry. I resist the temptation to eat more, but it is really hard. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, am I doing the right thing by not eating more. I have heard that when you are hungry your body is telling you that it needs fuel, is this correct? 4 Tue, 20 Oct 2009 21:15:45 EST I need some suggestions I am in last month of P90X and I hope I am not hurting my results. I do all the resistance videos from the program and work out on the elliptical machine 4 days a week. I go for exactly an hour every day I work out on the machine and my normal rate is 15 miles for that hour. Most people look at me like I am crazy for the speed I am at but I wonder if I am contributing to muscle loss due to the intensity of the cardio workout. Any suggestions? I had a pedometer, but it wasn't particularly accurate, and since that one, I've tried a few more and been disappointed. I know a good pedometer is a great way to make me more aware of just daily movement and encourage me to get up and walk more, but I also don't want to spend a ton of money on another pedometer that doesn't work well. Anyone here have one they absolutely love and would suggest trying?

Thanks! Fri, 9 Oct 2009 23:13:54 EST Hello! I'm a 27 year old mom to a very strong-willed 2 year old. I have a lot of weight to lose, but I've never actually tried to do anything about it until I gained a LOT after weaning my toddler. I have 2 1/2 months left on a 24-hour fitness place that I want to start using ... I trolled the web to find a site that could be a one stop shop to help me not only track my change in life-style but a community in which to help not only myself but others.
