Me being a BIG clutz will end up breaking an ankle. So I workout without shoes on. I had foot aches (like I'd been on my feet for days) when I did this program before. I just recently took a 3 week break from Insanity and my feet felt fine.

I started back into the program starting at Day 1Tuesday, so I did day 2 yesterday and today I notice my feet hurt again. Is working out without shoes hard on my fe... Thu, 3 May 2012 17:06:50 EST Took my measurements! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x34404x47891563 So, I started Round 2 of Insanity last Friday (4/27), but I forgot to take measurements. I finally got around to taking my measurements last night and I was so happy to see that they were down from the last Fit Test I did during Round 1 of Insanity. WOOHOO!

Also, I'm down another 3 lbs. WOOHOO! I haven't been this small since before I had my second daughter, almost 7 years ago! Thu, 3 May 2012 09:32:39 EST Officially starting 05/07 (Monday) http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x34404x47886172 Already did the Fit Test but need to get through the end of the school year before officially staring up. Did the plyometric cardio circuit (kinda) today. Rested a lot and skipped some parts, mainly just a test run, but still pretty exhausting. If anyone else is starting up on the 7th let me know and we can be buddies. Or anybody want to be my accountabil-a-buddy? I'm pretty motivated for this but will probably need some help staying on track after the first couple of weeks. Hopefully t... Well life got in the way, some birthdays, surprise birthdays, daughters surgery, unexpected death in the family among other things. So its been at least 3 weeks since I've done Insanity.

I was thinking about just not finishing Insanity and starting ChaLean Extreme to tone up. It was my plan to start ChaLean this month anyway after finishing Insanity. Well I haven't purchased ChaLean yet. But I'm feeling lazy and anxious to get back in... A couple of years ago I trained and completed a Sprint Triathlon, but stopped training and competing because I was so exhausted. I like to eat whole food and I am a bit uneasy with putting all those 'artificial sports' food in my body.

Having said that, I am waiting for my Insanity package to arrive from the States, and I really want to complete it without chewing the he... I'm also a night shifter, working 3 12-hour shifts a week. I'm only in week 2 of the program, but I've noticed that my heart rate is getting high within the first 3 minutes of warm-ups, easily reaching 160s before we even begin the second round. I'm taking breaks when it gets too high or I feel winded. But I'm concerned as to how high it is getting (at times, as high as 180s or 190 if I don't watch it!) and how fast it gets there.
<... I started it on Friday, 4/27. The Fit Test was killer. However, the second day was even tougher. I thought it'd be a little easier the 2nd time around, but I was wrong. It STILL kicked my butt! It was GREAT! I missed day 3, so I'm catching up with that one tonight. Mon, 30 Apr 2012 09:24:08 EST Insanity and Paleo? I had sinus surgery to repair a deviated septum yesterday. I felt like crap all afternoon/evening and into the morning because the pain medicine didn't touch the pain and it didn't knock me out at all either. However, they removed the packing today and I'm feeling so much better. I should be cleared for exercise again after my one-week follow-up next Thursday. I can't wait to start my second round of insanity! We had good intentions of doing them in the evenings, but then we hit a wall and couldn't go anymore. Today we start back up again, only for me to stop after Wednesday's workout due to me having surgery on Thursday. I'm going to make the most out of these next few days. :) Mon, 9 Apr 2012 09:37:51 EST Starting Tuesday 1st May http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x34404x47493981 A little advance notice! ;-) I have order my DVDs and hopefully they will be through in the next few days, however, I am running a marathon in Vienna on Sunday 15th April and so think I need to give myself a couple of weeks of recovery time before I start. After that, I'm not allowed to exercise for 1-2 weeks after the surgery. Boo! I guess I'll just be short 9 days, but still I'm bummed. I guess I'll just have to start over with INSANITY after I'm cleared to exercise again. Wed, 4 Apr 2012 08:55:41 EST Agree or disagree? I have to say though, I can see how people can get discouraged with this program. I have seen the scale move both up and down and its really irritating to see that when you end your workout everyday drenched in sweat. I have been taking measurements and they are improving, but I cant actually see any real difference when I look in the mirror. I've r... One website said my max heart rate should range from about 96-116 but jogging in place for not even 30 seconds the monitor said my heart rate was 117 and my resting heart rate is about 75-80. so what that website says seems a bit off to me. He is fine now but I never started up insanity again. I think I will just start over instead of starting where I left off because of how long of a break I ended up taking. after my son got out of the hospital it was like I found every excuse in the book to not st... I thought I was in fairly good shape, but I don't think I have been drenched in my sweat like this after working out since... well, never. I'm pretty sure Shaun T wants me to die. He didn't talk about the whole 5 meals thing BUT did mention tapering down carbs. He did say you will be eating a lot of carbs on Insanity but also he said most carbs should be in the morning. The scale he had was 40%/25%/15%. I'm noticing not on this plan. It does taper a little depending on how you pick the meals.

So if you guys are really trying to bulk up or slim down becareful on your picks. I think that... I'm starting to get sore now and it's been 3 hours since I did Plyo cardio circuit. Well, if you can call it that. It seems like I was stopping and catching my breath more than anything. I couldn't even get through the warm up. Does it get better? I know it won't be easier just hoping I can get through at least the warm up. It's like I was hitting failure before I even got to the 30 second recoop in each circuit. I am getting my body fat measured after work today but I was wondering if anyone saw weight loss during this week. It just seems like I should be supplementing this week with another work out but...I guess that would defeat the recovery purpose. I love it. (I'm a touch sadistic.) Tomorrow is Cardio recovery.... We'll see how it goes. I'm doing about 70% of the work out right now. My upper body is weak, but getting better. I think I expected myself to be able to do all of this right off the bat. . . I'm getting through the whole workout but I need to take extra breaks. . . I'm assuming that's pretty normal given the intensity of this program. :) Thu, 13 Oct 2011 00:48:16 EST HOW do you keep that core tight?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x34404x44544147 On day 3 here. This is probably going to sound crazy, but I don't know how to keep my core tight. I guess I can do it while standing still or doing very very low-key ab work, but I just don't get how I'm supposed to keep it tight while I'm doing these very insane cardio movements. My lower back is really killing me right now, so I know I need to figure out how to activate my core fast. Any advice would be appreciated!! I'm on Day 3 of the program and I have a question. These workouts are the shortest I've done in a while and I'm also taking in a much greater amount of calories than I'm used to. Before this I did Weight Watchers for four years, and the WW diet is much more low-cal. I was also running three to four times a week for 70-90 minutes at a time. Despite that, I was putting on weight on a gradual basis so I guess my body either got used to it or I wasn't eating enough. Now I'm concerned...
