I've been trying to lose weight for a while over time i have lost almost 30 lbs. However I still another 40 lbs to lose. I recently purchased a punching bag and can't wait to start my workouts on it tomorrow. Sun, 7 Apr 2013 16:33:39 EST Love my #50 bag! Hello All! A few years ago, my PT introduced me to hitting a heavy bag (with a sparring timer) as an alternative to other cardio. Unfortunately, my new gym didn't have a heavy bag so I got away from it in the last year. Long story short: My husband and I decided to quit the gym, and turn one of our spare bedrooms into a workout room. Last week, I bought a barely used 50# bag and stand on Craigslist for $75! I set it up right away in our new home gym and couldn't wait to get started. I d... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 12:05:55 EST Hello fellow warriors!! I have tried just about every type of exercise and never could find something I really truly enjoyed until now. About 2 weeks ago a friend commented about her kickboxing/circuit training class. My response was that I had always wanted to do kickboxing but always thought I needed to be in better shape (I was terrified of working out in a group setting). But, I decided to give it a shot and now I absolutely LOVE it! It's hard work but I have so much fun doing it and feel so great afterwards.... Thu, 7 Apr 2011 10:11:34 EST Hi everyone! Last month, I joined a boxing club and have been taking boxing classes for the past few weeks. I love it! I am the most out of shape person in the class, but that's ok. You can answer it as fully as you like or not (for example, I don't like to broadcast on the internet where I live or my children's names).

I'll pose a question a week - not daily like in Clean Eating team - just because it's rather intensive on my end and I don't want to be tied down that muc... Tue, 3 Jul 2007 11:20:17 EST New to the team Hi everyone, I am new to the team. I have been doing cardio kickboxing for about two months. I came to spark so that I could get my eating in order so that I could start experiencing higher payoffs from my intense workout. Thu, 14 Jun 2007 23:36:31 EST (gloves...) (do you guys use the full gloves or the ones with the open fingers? do you have a preference?

do you wrap? do you wrap between your fingers?

i use the harbinger bag gloves with the open fingers and i wrap with 108 around my knuckles, not between the fingers. i have really small hands so the 108 is long enough for me as long as i don't wrap between my fingers.) Fri, 25 May 2007 10:52:32 EST (favorite web sites...?) (what are your favorite web sites for kickboxing? my private instructor suggested i look on the internet and instead of just doing a search, i was hoping you guys could suggest some sites you found to be especially helpful. thanks in advance. = D) Tue, 8 May 2007 12:24:26 EST (quick, easy, healthy snacks...) I got the Tae Bo video set and I have started the new year kicking it!!! How is everyone else doing? Tue, 2 Jan 2007 10:13:29 EST How did you get started in kickboxing? I don't know about the rest of you, but I am a huge fan of the UFC. A friend from high school married a fighter and she finally got me out to watch him fight last February. I've been hooked ever since. Jason just made his UFC debut a couple months ago and I train at his gym. They cover Muay Thai, MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Boxing, just about everything UFC wise. I train in their Thai Boxing/Aerobics/Self Defense class and I love it. Sat, 11 Nov 2006 17:06:39 EST Welcome to the Kickboxing Group There's just me so far, but welcome.
