SparkPeople Chronic Epstein Barr/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Team Messageboard New here Hi, I'm new here and not sure if this forum is still active. I was recently diagnosed with CFS. have had a hell of a time just trying to keep from gaining, not to mention losing. Looking for others in the same boat for support and advice! Mon, 8 Oct 2012 13:45:51 EST TRY OLIVE LEAF AND ORGANIC COCONUT OIL... Try these to attack the virus, lgo slow because you will have die off. For die off you need FERMENTED FOODS to add good bacteria because die off causes more bad bacteria because it is killing off things. Good bacteria helps with the balance and detox baths or enemas to ge tthe bad bacteria moving out of the body. Fri, 27 Jul 2012 23:16:09 EST The supplement NADH Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has tried the supplement called NADH? I believe that it is a vitamin B derivative and I read that it is supposed to help with the fatigue. Also, has anyone experienced a significant improvement from any other vitamin or supplement?

Happy Back to School Season,
periwink Wed, 7 Sep 2011 09:22:19 EST Energy Mel Honey or Manuka Honey Hi Everyone,

Has anyone tried Energy Mel Honey or Manuka Honey? I'm almost scared to exercise even fairly hard.

I have a half marathon I signed up(husband) up for a while back and I would at least try and jog it if that is alright.

What types and level of exertion has been OK for you?... I contracted CEBV after a bad case of undiagnosed mono when I was 17. I'm now almost 20 and have dealing with this and trying to live my life. I'm sure you all know how frustrating it is to live with this. After graduating from high school I tried to move away from home and start a life and go to school, after about 6 months of fighting it constantly, I finally came back down and was unable to do anything and had to move back home. What I would like to know from all... Sat, 11 Dec 2010 16:57:07 EST Thank you for having this team! My doctors have told me I have Epstein-Barr. They did a blood test for exposure and it was off the charts. Apparently I have had it since I was 2. When I was 1-2 my liver and spleen swelled a great deal and then I recovered but did not have the same strength. Like many people I wake up as tired as healthier people are when they go to bed after a long day. I have tested positive for Mono many times.

Doctors are starting to care about and acknolwedge CFS and CEPBV. I was impressed. ... Sun, 27 Jun 2010 17:12:26 EST Hi I am new Hello. I am 39 years old and chronic mono (CEBV) was confirmed last fall. I suspect that CEBV has been a problem for much longer than that. I have episodes with throat infections that take forever to go away. Between this and being hypothyroid, my health has not been ideal. Hoping that with the right diet, exercise and much advice that I can find a way to thrive through all of this. Hello
I've never heard of cebv before but I think I have it. I have tested positive 5 different time for mono in the last 8 years and am shocked each time. I used to walk 10+ miles a day just because I enjoyed walking. I also used to ride horses, and play tennis, and sleep regular hours, and socialize.

I just spent the last nine months in an exhaustion upswing, and yesterday was the first day I felt healthy enough to run again, asthma and blood herp' be damned. I spent around an hour at the gym tonight, I'm jogging less than half as fast as I was before, but I'll get back up there. Fri, 4 Dec 2009 03:52:35 EST New Hi. I am a housewife/Mom/Mama that has CEBV. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago. At first, the flair-ups lasted about 4-5 weeks, then I'd feel great for about 6-8 weeks. Now, the flair-ups last months at a time. I am lucky if I have 1 or 2 so-so days a month.

I am hoping to find others who know (unfortunately) first hand, what it is like to live with CEBV. I am also hoping to find other ideas that might help improve me health.

Ravensamber Wed, 24 Jun 2009 19:52:55 EST New to Team Hi everyone! I was excited to find this team.
