Mon, 29 Dec 2014 08:57:43 EST Sharing an experience about breathing A couple months back, I went to some students of energy healing. You lay down (fully clothed) and they scan your body with their hands about a foot above you. Anyway, they made some observations about the state of my body ...they're into chakras. I am finding that my rib cage feels expanded and stronger (in a good way) and now my bra feels too tight. I realize I could get a bra with a bigger band and that might help. Is anyone else experiencing that?.
If so, have you found anything to remedy it? Even though I am not that big on top, I really don't feel that I can go without a bra. Fri, 31 Oct 2014 10:04:33 EST Need suggestion for program I think that some of you have tried more than one breathing program.
Is there one that can be done anywhere (that you do not need to make weird faces, get in weird positions? This is how habits are made!

Fri, 25 May 2012 18:17:18 EST I used to body flex!! Back when I was 19 and eating tons of pasta I was maybe slightly overweight. Probably not even slightly but I felt I wasn't at my ideal body weight because I had been over eating. I was living alone for the first time and basically ate italian all the time. So... after seeing an informercial for body flex I had to get it. I was very careful and measured every part of my body that was required. I didn't expect this to work. It made me laugh so hard doing it the first time but I stuck with it.... Wed, 9 May 2012 20:43:48 EST Technique! I just started watching my Oxycise! tape and I'm very excited about learning it. Maybe it will just get better as I do it more (you know I may not be able to walk and chew gum at the same time!) but I am having a hard time breathing in only through my nose while my mouth is open in a big grin. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm not sure I can get my lips to go flat on the exhale.

Anyone else have these problems? Mon, 16 Apr 2012 06:40:01 EST Happy to find an Oxycise team! I'm so happy to find a team which includes Oxycise! I have Rheumatoid arthritis and when I'm in a "flare" I can barely move, let alone exercise. But I want to keep my goals and move toward a more healthy lifestyle. Before I was hit with RA I ate anything, but still weighed around 125lbs. because I was so active. Well I continued to eat whatever, but with very little activity,(and then put on steroids) my weight had crept upto 184lbs. I am changing my eating habits, but the exercise is my... Sun, 15 Apr 2012 17:41:13 EST Chat and Check In! This is the place where we can check in and chat about what's going on in our lives, our triumphs and our challenges.

I've got a little off track, but will be happy to get back to my BodyFlex today. I love to walk, but it does take a lot of time and I lose the pleasure from walking if I start worrying about everything I have to do. It's one of the reasons I like BodyFlex: it doesn't take much time! Sun, 8 Apr 2012 02:02:25 EST Hard time of year for eating right & exercising! My family is in town (there's only 4 of us cause neither my sister nor me have kids but we've each got great men). There's going to be a lot of food purposes, there's candy everywhere and I won't have any privacy to do my BodyFlex!

I mean, I want to teach my sister the technique, but I'm embarrassed to do it out in front of her man. Even my own husband laughs himself silly if he sees/hears me doing BodyFlex!

Oh well, this too shall pass! Fri, 6 Apr 2012 07:10:54 EST Where did you do you do your exercises today? Did BodySuits on front porch. Wed, 4 Apr 2012 06:41:04 EST Do it every day! I have my mighty rebellious times, especially with food or heavy duty exercise routines. But I'm happy to report that I really don't find it necessary to have a little power struggle about doing my BodyFlex. It only takes 20 minutes at the most and usually less.

I've come to enjoy "my time with Greer" as if it were a daily meditation. She's gentle and encouraging.

I feel better for it. So do your breathing exercises every day. You'll be glad you did. Tue, 3 Apr 2012 02:29:08 EST Stupid way to bring down obesity in the USA OK now I've heard it all! There's am article today (April 1st) here in sparkpeople about the newest plan to being down obesity in this country.

They're going to adjust what one pound means, so that now what was 1 pound will be 1.1 pounds. In other words, you'll "drop" weight automatically and the national obesity rate will dramatically decrease overnight!!

How stupid can they be????? What does that have to do with our health? That's just fudging the numbers. ... Sun, 1 Apr 2012 05:14:19 EST What are your April plans/goals? I can't believe that April is already here!!!!

I am really loving my BodyFlex tapes these days. I want to continue to do my breathing exercises every day. I'm I've the whole boredom thing. I guess I'm so grateful to have the tapes.

Plus I want to do some of the breathing technique while adding weight listing to my day. I'll let you know how that goes. I haven't done any weights in a long time.

Finally, I've got to get the oxycise tape out of the librar... Sat, 31 Mar 2012 02:36:34 EST Doing it in your car, on the stairs, everywhere!! I've been listening to some of Greer's tips. She says to do BodyFlex breathing whenever we think of it. Like in your car. Or before you start up a flight of stairs. Or when your pushing your grocery cart to the car!

So I've been adding more BodyFlex breaths into my day. I think they're helping! I figure Greer probably does 100s of these breaths a day! Could that explain her teeny tiny waist? Hmmmm! Fri, 30 Mar 2012 07:11:43 EST Are Life Lift and BodyFlex the same? I got a tape for Life Lift out of the library. It was about time as leader of this team! I was so surprised! The breathing technique looked exactly the same as the BodyFlex method.

Is that true? Tue, 27 Mar 2012 13:58:05 EST Are you doing other exercises? What other exercises do you do, if any? I like to walk. If I could, I'd like to run, but I'm not there yet. How about you? Fri, 16 Mar 2012 05:20:47 EST Advanced BodyFlex! I'm lucky that one of our tv's has a vcr player. I just ordered Greer's Advanced BodyFlex. It was only a couple of bucks used on Amazon. Does anyone have it? I'll let you know about it when it arrives. Wed, 14 Mar 2012 15:28:01 EST IBS anyone - these exercises seem to help! I'm very lucky and I don't have IBS, but I came across this review of the Advanced BodyFlex tape:

"I have ibs so things(food) don't go through so fast. and you windup bloated and miserable. This tape makes everything digest much better and faster,so I'm not so uncomfortable. You feel inches going. Don't think it's going to get rid of hundreds of pounds, but you definitely feel good.Eat right and exercise and use the tape... "

Isn't that great?
Anyone here have a si... Mon, 12 Mar 2012 11:05:47 EST How Do You Handle Boredom? Well it happened again. I was being super disciplined. I was even doing BodyFlex 2 and 3 times a day. I want laughing at Greer's 80's hair and dated outfit.. To say nothing of all the silly silly looking facial movements and the sounds. I was right in there with her. And then, as it's always happened before, I just petered out.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do you stay motivated? Disciplined? Ugh. Am I the only one? Thu, 8 Mar 2012 03:18:51 EST What was I doing 4 years ago on leap year??? Well I can't remember exactly, but I was unemployed at the time, staying at home with my then, four year old daughter. Bored at the house because you can only clean the house so many times a day and being at home with the kitchen calling my name was NOT a good thing. It was the extra push that added to my horrible weight gain. As much as I loved being at home with my daughter, Laurel, being at work keeps me out of the kitchen at home. I really have to watch those temptations. I love my job an... Wed, 29 Feb 2012 15:48:07 EST LETS MAKE A NEW GOAL TODAY??? Every day is a new day. Fri, 17 Feb 2012 09:42:39 EST Seeing Results - tell us! I really think my belt is slowly becoming smaller! My weight hasn't changed - Darn! - but I feel good.

How's everyone doing? Fri, 17 Feb 2012 03:19:39 EST new team member Hi there, I am Tricia from VA. I did Body Flex 10 years ago and lost 30 really quickly, but I got away from it after I got pregnant with my first child. Unfortunately, I gained all that back and then some, but am ready to begin it again. I glad to find that there are other folks out there that use Body Flex. When I mention to people about it and describe it, they look at me like I am nuts. Wed, 15 Feb 2012 13:20:13 EST One step closer to my goal today because . . Today I finally have a mental image of how salt bulks you up. I watched something on youtube that really hit home. This guy dis before and afterphotos in the spac of 5 hours. He got the before photo by eating (among other things) tons of salty food.

Now I have a mental picture to think of every time I'm tempted by salt. This means I'll finally be able to resist it and'll track my goal quicker.

Remember there's plenty of healthy sodium in celery and other greens. ... Wed, 28 Dec 2011 08:18:20 EST HOLIDAY SLACKING OFF ON BREATHING EXERCISES I have been so bad, and not really because of the holidays. Actually Mondays are my days off anyway. But I've been on a low carb regime and it's been working. Then because I am sitting at the front desk at work and have a large wrap around area, all the Christmas goodies surrounded me! It was a nightmare, and I crashed. However, we still have nothing in the house that is not on our regime, so I only am a victim of my own greediness at work. This should smooth out. Yesterday we had a ga... Mon, 26 Dec 2011 01:46:59 EST How I got in so much exercise! :) Hi, I got a message that I was in the top five exercisers of this team, and asking how I did it. Well, I just went for an evaluation at a new chiropractor's office, and when I saw my x-rays and realized how much I weight, I pretty much freaked out. I keep trying different things, and quitting every single one of them. I was feeling pretty bad, and knew I needed to get it together. Start healing and get healthy. Well, I am glad I found others that believe in these also. I have Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Disk Disease, Osteo-arthritis. I also learned I have osteophytes (arthritis) growing on my spine. I recently found out I have them on my rib cage. I also just had minor GYN surgery, so no gym and no po... Fri, 5 Aug 2011 10:25:52 EST The Oxycise Experiment! I'm so glad I took the liberty of joining this team! I'm trying Oxycise with other exercises (as well as a sensible diet) to see if I lost inches and/or weight. I will be reporting results in a few weeks, as I currently am 155 lbs at the moment. Wed, 3 Aug 2011 13:23:54 EST Body Flex Refresher! I just checked out Greer's book Be A Loser. It had been years since I saw it. And now, what a shock. All this time (not that I've been doing Body Flex for long - I'd completely forgotten about it even though I always liked it) I kind of focused on the breathing out. It took me a long time to learn how to breathe out like that and that's what I thought counted. Turns out it's the breathing IN is the most important part.

Here's what she says to do, " When your lungs are empty,... Fri, 29 Jul 2011 15:00:31 EST Tracking body flex Hi. Does anyone know how to track the body flex exercises on sparkpeople? I just got Greer's newest product and they're working me but good. Fri, 1 Jul 2011 17:09:03 EST Starting over-- again. I have been with with spark people for almost a year, but I have never posted on the message board. I am or was going well on my new lifestyle and weight loss, but went back to my old ways and gained all the weight back and than some. I am more set than ever to lose this weight, get fit, have a new lifestyle and become more focused on what I got to do. I can't go back to my old habits, it's time for a new me and a total 180 degree change for the better with my weight and way of thinking. Mon, 27 Jun 2011 17:08:33 EST Hello I would like to introduce myself here. I am a new mother, my son was born on Christmas Day, and I am still breast feeding. I find most other forms of exercise too distracting and hard to "fit" into the day. Even if it is a ten minute workout. I hope I stick with this and I would like to know about other peoples results with these programs. Their websites are full of testimonies and I was interested in seeing if this page had some for inspiration purposes. I am only on my second day of Oxycise... Wed, 8 Jun 2011 21:51:56 EST Daily Exercise Minutes for May Doing pretty well with Oxycise. Somehow in the last three days I have strained the abs a little. Guess I am trying for high intensity. Will go moderate for a few days. Worked out calories burned from a website using stationary bike settings and my own weight:

culators/

I like this particular calculator because of the intensity factors.
So far this month I've done 75 minutes Oxycise

3... Sun, 8 May 2011 02:33:23 EST Just saying it's my chest, and fat. Hi, I'm new. I may have a more unique problem, but better breathing, is good for all. If I don't ride my bike, like 4 or 5 days a week, my sleep has frustrating parts at the end, nightmares in a way. I think my sunken lower chest is the cause. I need a strong diaphragm to function better. What is a new secret? Maybe I will learn. Also as I get rid of 10 or 20 pounds of intercostal fat, way inside, around the guts and organs, I will have an easier time, so... I want to go for it, until I feel ... Fri, 1 Apr 2011 05:31:37 EST I'm new here. I've done both BodyFlex and Oxycise, but never consistently. I've never heard of Life Lift before and I wanna try it. Good to be here. I'm horribly shy and am never good at these welcome messages, but figured I should do one anyway. 20

My name is Amanda and I'm an Oxycise girl.

A little history...I have a thyroid problem and gain weight even when doing everything right. Oxycise is the only thing that makes a difference for me.

I used to be on SparkPeople as Oxymora (in reference to Oxycise), but ended up deleting that account... Since science is not my favorite subject I always wondered how that worked. Well, I finally found the answer. (At least an answer that a layperson can understand.) It's an article from the old Oxycise! blog (there is a new Oxycise! blog now) entitled,"What Are Experts Saying About Oxygen?" (It even quotes at least one nobel prize winner!)

www... Tue, 15 Jun 2010 10:17:02 EST What are your goals and how are you reaching them? This thread is starting as a result of the new team goals that are up. However, this isn't just for one month. We need encouragement each day. Here's our chance to share with the team what we are working on today (or weekly or monthly), our plan, what's making it work or what we need to change. I just started back up 2 days ago after having quit it once again. I'm hoping that having goals and starting a streak will keep me accountable and going steady for the long haul. I always lose inches and my clothes get big everytime I do it, but after about 6 weeks I platau for weeks and I'll quit. I am looking forward to being able to chat...
