I'm a graduate student in psychology with hypothyroidism. I had a lot of trouble getting diagnosed (almost a year) and I'm still not feeling awesome. In high school, I weighed 135 and was maybe a bit too thin for my height, but now I'm at 188lbs, despite eating healthy and exercising as often as a graduate student can. I am now trying Alli to help a bit; haven't had any negative side effects so far.

I like to play tennis and soccer, read, write, play video games, an... I have just recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and they found nodule in my thyroid. I have been struggling with my weight for 4 years now (after having my daughter) not knowing why, well I guess now I have the answer. I thought joining a group would be helpful for me to better understand hypothyroidism from others perspectives and learn how to lose the weight I have gained as well as staying committed to losing the weight. When Fall came around, I was doing a great job exercising everyday and watching what I ate. I lost 8 lbs successfully in 2 months. Then Halloween came and everything went downhill from there. I've gained everything back...'sigh.' I feel more tired, can't remember things, all the hypothyroid nasties. SO! I'm on a mission. Here's my long-term goal: to loose a dress size by March 30th or 10 lbs. Short-term goal: roughly 1 lb per week. It would be wonderf... Anyway, I've tried a few times to lose (I need to drop 50 lbs total) and when I see no results after a few weeks, I always give up and go back to a less than healthy lifestyle. I'm hoping this attempt will be different, but once again, I'm a week into a new approach (exercising 30-45 minutes every day, trying... When I first got diagnosed, I lost 40 pounds in the year following my diagnosis and maintained it for a few years; now, between losing some of my positive eating habits and probably needing my meds upped, I've gained it all back in the past year and a half :-( I'm hoping that SP (along with ... This demand came after being advised by two ladies that after gall bladder surgery, their thyroid symptoms kicked in and led to hypo and hyper thyrodism. My doctor had never suggested this test. He only did a CBC and B12. I've been on B12 shots for years since I was diagnosed with no B12 in my system, to speak of. My doctor called in a pre...
