Sat, 26 Dec 2009 21:15:38 EST Welcome to our TWO new members JANCIES and HVADERAD have just joined our little group. Welcome to you both. I hope to hear more about you, and what treatments you have, if any, for this condition. If you have any questions just ask and if you have any tips on treatment or coping, we would definitely love to hear them.

Take care,
Kris Sat, 12 Dec 2009 03:01:33 EST Link for Computer Mouse to aid those with Tremors LONG35 has sent this link below to a company which manufactures a computer mouse which is suitable for people with tremors.

I googled them and came across a link to the BBC which confirms that this is a legitimate company. The link to the BBC is below if you want to check that, too.

61.stm

Kris

Wed, 2 Dec 2009 00:14:22 EST Celebrations = extra stress It is coming up close to the Festive Season. For those in the States it is Thanksgiving already. With it comes a lot of extra socialising and stress also. With that stress you may notice that your tremors will possibly increase.

The exercise is to learn some new ways to minimise that stress.

I hope that everyone is managing their tremors well, and that you enjoy this time of year.

Take care,
Kris Fri, 20 Nov 2009 16:15:04 EST Mild Tremors back on occasion. I have had just very mild tremors on/off the last couple weeks. They are generally only lasting up to 1/4 hr. I have been free of Acupuncture for 9 months now, so if I need another couple sessions I'm not going to be disappointed. It has lasted a lot longer than I thought it would. My Doctor told me that I may need the occasional "top up".

How's everyone else's doing? AND how is everyone else going. It is Officially spring here now, but boy, has today been cold. I have had m... Fri, 4 Sep 2009 01:20:26 EST No Group Icon? Gasp, Identity Crisis! Okay, I just joined and noticed we have no group icon. IMNSHO, this sets us up for identity crisis.

I visited the International Essential Tremor Foundation's site and came up with several ideas for icons. Since Tulips For Tremors is a logo attached to a seasonal fundraising campaign, I vote for using the TFT logo now and changing it later.

Hm, just realized I can't post a link. Probably in the morning, I'll upload the idea pics I saved. You can also visit
Thu, 30 Jul 2009 03:16:42 EST PINDOC has joined us :-) We have a new team member - PINDOC. The name suggests the occupation:-)

Welcome aboard. Tue, 28 Jul 2009 02:04:37 EST Miserable Day :-( I'm just sitting here watching the trees blowing in the wind and listening to it, and the rain. It is quite a miserable day here today, but I s'pose it is the middle of winter so I shouldn't be surprised.

For some reason it has made me think of my friends on Essential Tremors, and wondered how everyone is getting on. Are your treatments (those of you having treatment) working? Those who aren't, are you coping o.k.? I still have a smile on my face because I STILL haven't needed... Feel free to post any thing you wish - a query, a statement - what's happening in your life, etc. We would love to hear from you. Mon, 18 May 2009 00:23:45 EST Middle of May It's nearly the middle of May and I've been thinking of you all for a while and wondering how you're getting on. Nearly every day when I make a note in my diary I have a smug smile on my face when I make my entry into my "Tremors" column. That it because nearly every day the word is "none". I went 10 days without a single tremor and often go a week without one. (On day 11 I did have a problem trying to eat and you all know what it is like when you have a watery type of soup.) Anyway, that... Tue, 12 May 2009 06:11:26 EST Welcome 2 We have a new Team Member - MSMINNESOTA - welcome to the team. I hope you find some benefit from us. Any queries, or comments, (or some funnies) if you hear of anything which can help reduce our problems (big or little), feel free to use this forum. :-) Mon, 13 Apr 2009 18:39:52 EST How are everyones' Tremors going? Just wondered how everyone"s tremors are going. I've just realised it has been just over 4 months since I've needed Acupuncture for mine! 244
I'm still having them occasionally but generally only a brief period of time and mostly when I do have them, they are only minor ones now. They have seldom affected my head at all when I have had them.. Cool, eh! Sun, 12 Apr 2009 07:11:35 EST Have a Safe and Happy Easter :-) Hope you all have a safe and happy Easter. If you are going anywhere, take care on the roads. If you are not going anywhere, take care anyway! Thu, 9 Apr 2009 22:35:16 EST Thought for the day May you always have enough happiness to keep you sweet,
Enough trials to keep you strong,
Enough success to keep you eager,
Enough faith to give you courage,
and enough determination to make each day a good day. Save $1 per day
2. At least 7500 steps per day
3. Eat at least 2 pieces of fruit per day
4. Eat at least 3 serves of veges per day
5. Walk ... Wed, 18 Feb 2009 02:06:49 EST Welcome We now appear to be up and running as a team. We have 3 members, and hopefully it will grow. I am sure we will be able to help each other with suggestions.

It would be nice too have just chat about everyday things, maybe a joke or two, a motivational thought, or to just be there for each other if one of us is having a down day.

You will have noticed we don't have a Team Icon as yet. If you have any suggestions let me know. I had been thinking I might get my son who ... Sat, 14 Feb 2009 23:39:30 EST Hi I'm Kristine. I developed Benign Essential Tremors of (mainly) the R.Hand/Arm when I had a bad car accident in 2001. The Neurologist I saw 2-3 years after told me that altho' my accident didn't cause it, it triggered it. I personally don't see any difference. He told me I couldn't have treatment because the medications which can control the tremors, can be fatal in asthmatics. He said I would have to live with it. Anyway, I asked my GP about Acupuncture. He said it was worth a go - tha... Sat, 31 Jan 2009 22:48:31 EST
