But since I have to lose all my weight again I thought I would re-make my page. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2005. Currently on Humira and 6MP. After years in pain, I am over the moon with how well I do now.
Don't know what else to say. I just spent 40 minutes on the treadmill so maybe I have a lack of blood to my brain at the moment. I'm new to the Team Forum http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x29904x55925800 I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when I needed surgery in 2004. My Gastroenterologist figures I was probably born with the Disease and according to my baby book I was first hospitalized at about 5 weeks of age for intolerance for my formula and bowel issues. I've only had surgery once and that was in 2005. The surgeon did a by-pass in my Duodenum in the upper small bowel. In the same surgery, I had a resection of the small and large intestines removing both my Illium and Appendix. I'... I am 41 years old, married, work full time, have a 14 year old step son and a 5 year old daughter. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 1995 and immediately went on a Gluten Free Diet. It helped but not as much as it does for some people. Life went on and I just figured it was my fate to feel vaguely unwell most of the time and to suffer from "digestive" issues (trying to be polite lol). Fastforward to 2011 when th... My former rheumatologist even tried to convince me that I had IBS, even though I had been losing hair and felt like a sieve. I found a new one really quick.

My big issues is that all the things ... Was dx'ed about 9 years ago after losing 20 pounds and ending up in the hospital. I was able to go off my medication for a few years and maintain my remission, however a few months ago I flared up again and developed several additional problems, like gastritis and sacroiliitis.

I joined the site to start tracking what I eat, and to see if I get enough nutrie... My name is Jenn and I am glad that whomever named this team kept it open. No, I don't have Crohne's or ulcertative but ischemic colitis at the ripe old age of 31 (diagnosed when I was 30).

Unlike others, I have a flare-up or two every year and must balance my diet between raw fruits/veggies and processed foods. I've only recently begun to do this, thinking I would overcome it (not).

So yeah, Hi! I have been looking for ways to add fresh vegetable and fruits to my diet but every time I do I go into a "flare up". Does anyone know of any safer fruits and veggies? Fri, 30 Jan 2009 11:15:44 EST Hi! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x29904x22411136 I'm Nicole. I was diagnosed in 1993 at the age of 13. I've had 5 surgeries to removed affected areas of my small intestine and have been hospitalized on several occasions other than my surgeries. Luckily though, when I'm not in the hospital, I'm feeling overall pretty well. I take Imuran every day, but I don't really need to watch what I eat. I have good and bad days. I'm trying to lose 20 lbs. but mostly just become more healthy and toned.

Nice to meet you all. If you lay down and feel sorry for your self you will find your self chained to that bed of self pity. It gets really hard some times, but chin up tomorrow is a brand new day.
