In a word? Awful. But also entertaining. I know, right?

If you're going for an action movie, it's great. Lots of explosions and gun fire and bad guys out to get the good guys and vice versa. If you're looking for a movie with a plot, this is not the movie for you. Not even with an extremely willing suspension of disbelief.

OMG - just discovered Sherlock over the weekend on Netflix. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Love. Set in modern day and it's just amazing. Each season is only 3 episodes and only S1&2 are on Netflix, but it's just an amazing & awesome show. The banter between Holmes and Watson - between everyone is just fantastic. Great characters. The episodes that introduce Moriarty and Irene are phenomenal. Check it out!!

Hello everyone! I just joined SP yesterday (so far, so good) and discovered this forum today! Very excited - I love movies and TV. I'm sorta "out" of TV right now; we got rid of cable and just have Netflix and Hulu. Some of the shows I'm still keeping up with:

So far, I liked the pilot for Person of Interest.

Not to sure about Unforgetable, Prime Suspect, or The Gifted Man.

One show I was looking forward to was Ringer-I like Michelle-but I couldn't get through the first episode.

Still have Terra Nova to watch, probably get around to it later this week or weekend.

My name is Matt, and it wasn't until recently that I realized that I watch a lot of TV again. In the past, I watched a whole lot of TV, and then somewhere along the line I just stopped. I watched a few series, but I taped them and would catch up much later. I guess the DVR is much responsible, because I rarely watch the shows while airing.

There was a several year gap that I only watched what my daughter watched, which kept me up on all the happenings of the shows on Cartoon Net...

Is anyone watching this? After The Biggest Loser, I of course had high hopes for these folks, but it appears that when left to their own homes and schedules, these people have just as hard a time as us "normal" people sticking to an eating and exercise regimen. I'm one of the 3.1 million Cablevision customers in the New York area and Disney, who owns ABC TV pulled their network from the Cablevision lineup as of midnight Saturday!

The reason? Disney wants an additional $40 million over the $200 million they're already getting from Cablevision to stay on air and when negotiations stalled, Disney pulled out so as of this morning, there are no Oscars and no Barbara Walters Special for us!

I grew up on 3pm Movie Time on Channel Five back in the seventies. I'm a big fan of Film Noir although I haven't learned the director's or writer's name, I've just payed attention to the actor's and actresses crushin on Lauren Bacall and the costumes.

I'm currently watching the AMC and TMC channels on direct tv especially on Sunday nights at midnight when they show the silent movies.

I also try to watch anything about Andy Warhol and his Superstars, the 1950s and 1960s, ...

The nominations for this years Oscars have been announced. 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' is the big favorite with 13 nominations, including Best Movie and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Brad Pitt). As predicted Heath Ledger got nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 'The Dark Knight'. I hope he wins this one, because he was great in the movie.

Hello friends!! Long time no see. In this holiday season I am realizing that I have a number of movie choices that aren't 'officially' holiday movies, but, somehow have become holiday movies for me. How about you??

The CW has decided to ditch it's entire Sunday night lineup and has replace it with re-runs of Jericho, The Drew Carey Show, Everybody Hates Chris and a movie. Hi all, I'm a new Spark member. A brit living in California.

I watch a lot of TV & movies but I do it by downloading it to my Archos portable video player. I tend to watch whole seasons of shows in 2-3 week runs. I watch a lot of Brit mystery, crime stuff and all the HBO and Sci Fi and similar stuff. Not much network TV though I like a few.

Has anyone seen the new Fraiser movies that are out yet.

I'm kind of leary about going to see "Journey to the center of the earth" because the last 3D I saw was...JAWS! HA!! Turned me right off on watching 3D, the effects were sooooo cheeseeeey. Although I love going on the 3D rides in the amusement parks.

This movie was really good. My son and I went to see this on Friday. Today I went to see "Get Smart" and was delighted to find it was quite funny. I also was glad to see that it respected the role of Maxwell Smart as Don Adams introduced to us on the TV show. Is anyone upset about the new Mummy movie coming out. They aren't bringing back Rachel Weisz, Oded Fehr or Arnold Vosloo. And what's worse is that they cast Maria Bello to replace Rachel. I'm sorry but I don't like her AT ALL and I think she is the absolute worse choice they could have picked.

I went to see this movie today. Actually I was quite surprized at how funny it was. I had expected it would have gross moments to it, but it was not bad. I have certainly seen worse. And Adam Sandler bulked up I thought he looked kinda hot,especially in the jeans and white shirt with no sleeves. Anyway, it is not a family film. There is a fair amount of nudity. But, I do hope some of you will check it out. For me I give it *** 1/2 stars.

Hello my fellow movie buffs!! I have returned from taking a break from SparkPeople (not intentionally) I started good and it when down hill. But I am ready to give it a go again and stay with it this time. I have joined a gym and have been counting calories again. So I am hoping I can stay with it this time and finally lose this weight. I saw the new movie and it was tons of fun!! Action sequence after cheesy action sequence and some archeology that cant be believed, but that's what Indiana Jones is all about! They even used the old sound effects for punches to the face and the bull whip!

I think anyone who's a good 'ol fashion Indie fan will love it!

I am new to the whole Sparkpeople site but I'm really liking it already. This team caught my eye because I'm a huge TV and movie fan. I couldn't live without my DVR or Netflix. I'm trying to cut back on the TV though because I find it cuts into my exercising. Thank goodness the season is ending so I don't have to worry about watching any of my shows. I do try to watch my movies now when I'm walking on the treadmill so I can combine two things at once!

As most of us are, I am on multiple teams. By far the majority of my other teams are 'focused' on weight-loss, health, nutrition, exercise, whatever. I truly enjoy being on a team that is totally not about that.

I went to see this last night and it was good. Acceptably predictable, well-shot, good acting, good story. But it's a romantic comedy, so there is clearly some predictability. BUT, it was good. I liked it. Not much profanity (if any), nothing vulgar and nothing explicit. There are some lingerie shots, but nothing weird or horrifying, in my opinion. Just a decent romantic comedy. And you gotta love a scottish accent!!

Does anyone watch NCIS? In a few hours USA is running yet another marathon and I'm recording in two different rooms so I can watch it wherever I am. I also have 4 NCIS DVDs from Netflix right now. Is this or is this not the best show since Arrested Development? I can't eat or drink anything when it's on, because stuff goes up my nose when I laugh too hard, and I laugh the entire way through every episode.

I met with the doctor yesterday and let me admit...i am not the poster child of health. However, I have cut my smoking in half, caffeine in half, calories in half, increased my exercise, increased my water intake and am taking all Med's as prescribed but the doctor did not care about all my changes. No...she only cared about the opportunities that were yet to be. I was so frustrated that I could have screamed! When do we get the recognition that we deserve for the changes that we made??...

OK...so I love chick flicks. Just saw PS I LOVE YOU with Hillary Swank who is AMAZING in this. I ABSOLUTELY loved it!! If you're into the whole romance and comedy thing you'll love this. This move is brilliant and will have you in tears...BUT not just tears of sadness but TEARS of JOY as well! It's great! I don't think it got all the hype it should've but sometimes those are the best films! I did see this with someone but she was another avid chick flick fan...my cousin. 20

if you haven't seen this yet, they're bringing it back this year. i saw this movie last year and it was the most amazing movie experience i've ever had. the movie came to life right before my eyes. so real looking you swear you could touch the characters.

This weekend I rented three movies: "Redline," "State's Evidence," and "Vacancy."

If you don't care about plot or acting, but really like fast cars and women with way too much makeup, then this is the movie for you. The cars are just great. I am new to this team. I absolutely live and breath movies. Cannot get enough of them. I usually like to put in a movie or watch one that is already on television while I am working out. It keeps both body and mind focused on something other than trudging along. I love pretty much any kind of genre...horror, thriller, suspense, comedy, a few romances, action, etc.

This movie was absoutly unbelieveable........ It is a 'you must go right now and see it" movie :) It was funny, quick paced, showed heart and so very well done!!!!! I am way impressed.. It was way better than I even thought it would be:)

With summer here, I've gotten into the habit of renting movies for my kids that I loved growing up and would still be appropriate for them. So far, they've been LOVING them. I need some more ideas though. So far this is what I've shown them:

Any other suggestions? I was thinking about Ghostbusters, but can't remember if it is appropiate for an 8 and 10 year old. Too scary??

I miss David Milch's HBO series "Deadwood" so much! Did anyone else watch it? Milch abandoned the last season of "Deadwood" so he could start shooting his new HBO series, "John from Cincinnati."

I saw JFC this past Sunday and it was decent; I laughed my a$$ off a few times. Rebecca Demornay, Luke Perry and Ed O'Neill are in it.

But nothing gets me laughing like ole' Al Swearingin, owner of Deadwood's Gem Saloon. Gah.

Well I just got back from this movie and it's one helluva ride! Now I will say if you hated the first one then you will hate this one. But I'll say this, if you liked the first one then you will LOVE this one. This one is a lot more than the first one IMO as it's not just a typical gore film which is what a lot of folks complained about in regards to the first one. This one actually has some things in that will make you stop and think. There are also a couple of great twists to the endin...

Utter garbage, avoid this. Look up ridiculous movie in the dictionary and it will have "Curse of the Zodiac" beside it. I'm 40 minutes in and I'm shutting it down, I am not wasting another 45 minutes on this crap.

What's wrong with it? Poor acting, an annoying voiceover and just all around silliness pervades this (psychic links between the killer and some random woman? please, I have read a lot on the Zodiac Killer and this plotline is just completely made up).

has anybody seen it? how did you like it? I thought it was awesome, I loved the story and the fighting seens were fantastic, and when you got a lot of johnny depps and a chow yun fat, you cant go wrong! I had a problem with the ending though. I guess they had to do it, but i dunno i like fairytale endings I guess. The scene after the ending credits made me feel a little better. But, all in all, great movie!

I'm glad that Charlie and Hurley had chances to be heroes. Did they show who died in Jack's newspaper clipping or are we not supposed to know?

Totally Biased Shrek3 Review

Ok, so I finally saw the whole film all put together and looking lovely last night. I've got to say, I really enjoyed it. I think I'm too close to the project to really be objective, but I'd say that I liked it more than Shrek2, and close to how much I enjoyed the original.

The look for the film is beautiful. I'm always amazed with these 3D animated movies that the colors and textures can look so real and vibrant. It's almost as though you can reach out and touch it.

I hate to be Mr. Negative but I come across movies all the time that I think might be good or even movies that received good ratings that after watching are so disappointing. Theses are movies that I wish someone would have warned me about. Since most critics suck I figured it might be nice to hear from other views that might have some insight to some avoidable flix. Of course not everyone will agree with what they consider a bad film but a little warning goes a long way.

I was re-watching some of my favourite romantic comedies this weekend and wondered, does anyone else totally relate so much to a movie, you swear they wrote it specifically about you???

My movie is "My Best Friend's Wedding." I swear, that is so my life. Me, Julia Roberts, me being best buds until he gets another woman, then fall for him because "its time" and in the end, end up with the other best bud. LOL!!! The ending cracks me so up every single time I see it!! LOL!!

right now i'm working on a few scripts. i know that soon i'll have to choose one over the others to get really into and give the most focus to. so i want to ask you, what would you like to see more on the big screen? a romantic comedy done right or the next oscar worthy drama?
