I'm really close to my protein and fiber goals, and if I eat one of my protein bars I'll be in on all of my goals! Even though we went to Outback for dinner! Check me out! 104

So I could eat a protein bar and in on my fiber and protein, which are important, but I'm not hungry. Should I eat to stay in with my goals if I'm not hungry, or sh... Fri, 3 Apr 2009 23:46:24 EST Panic Button I read somewhere there is a Panic Button for instant help you are failing. What would I look for it? Fri, 3 Apr 2009 14:17:43 EST Friday April 3rd daily challenge Today is Friday for all you normal people. Heres the challenge. Develop a plan to get you through the weekend. Remember to eat healthy, and to get in as much activity as you can. Plan a bike ride if the weather is good, or a hike. Try something fun and different. My weekend won't be for another week so I'm all set. For ideas there is a Spark team for the weekend weary ones. You can find it in the Spark team tab under other interests. Sometimes it's the feature team. I'm not sure wha... Thu, 2 Apr 2009 19:00:49 EST Woot! I got my 500 pt trophy today. ^_^ Thu, 2 Apr 2009 16:24:53 EST Losing speed Is anyone else losing speed? The first week it was exciting and new, the second week I finding it more of a grind.

I didn't drink all my water yesterday, I didn't get up this morning and exercise, I thought something I had for breakfast was okay, it turns out I was eating TWO servings instead of one. I am going out of town this weekend (after work today actually!) and I'm not sure how I'll fit in any workouts and definitely not sure about what I'm going to eat.

So I'm ... Thu, 2 Apr 2009 12:23:15 EST Thursday April 2, 2009 daily challenge Try a spark recipe tonight for dinner. Remember to do the amount of cardio you are on, and check out Spark videos for lower body work outs. There are several that use the resistance band, the ball, or body weight. Last year's swim suit bootcamp video for the lower body is pretty good. Spend some time today thinking about your choices, and how you make them. Wed, 1 Apr 2009 19:18:44 EST Hi Hello. This is my first entry. I started Sparkpeople just over a week ago, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm learning an awful lot about my eating and exercise habits, and making some very good changes. I set what I think are achievable short and long-term goals. So far so good. I'm extremely grateful to my daughter for suggesting this to me. Tue, 31 Mar 2009 22:35:14 EST Let's talk food and cooking! Cooking at home is a bit of a brand new thing to me. No one really fed me when I was little - I grew up a McDonald's and Wendy's kid. So for the past month I've been feeling my way around the kitchen like a nervous explorer, armed to the teeth with spatulas and stirring spoons. So far I've discovered that tuperware is wonderful... When you can cook several meals worth of chicken all in one go and then eat it over the course of a couple days, preparing your own meals isn't quite as much of a t... Tue, 31 Mar 2009 20:11:38 EST Hello Everyone My name is Sandy and I'm located in sunny CA (well, sunny most of the time). I'm 32 years old and a homeschooling mom of 6. We recently finished adopting our last 2 children and in the year that it took to finalize through the court system I put on 30 pounds...30 pounds on top of the 20 extra pounds I was already carrying around! It was a stressful time for us and my answer to the stress was snacking and night-time binge eating.

Between running my home and teaching my kids the... Tue, 31 Mar 2009 17:58:04 EST LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Hey everyone! How're you all doing today? I love reading all the great comments on the message boards and spark pages. I feel like I live a split life between California and Colorado -- My heart is in the sunny state, and my body is in the Rocky Mountain state. I'd like it if, when people talk about what's going on around them, they'd give a hint as to where they are so we could all relate.
I'm sure we're all looking forward to summer, wherever you are.
Tue, 31 Mar 2009 13:28:28 EST Ages - or age ranges? Hi guys,

Just wondering how old people are in my class. I'm 24 (almost 25) and I've found that the people I relate to the most on Sparkpeople so far are people that are near my age. Mainly because our lives are similar - although some are married with kids by now and I'm not haha :)

So I'm asking - how old are people in my class? We could just do ranges if you're uncomfy, i.e. "20s" "30s" etc.

-Hannah Tue, 31 Mar 2009 13:24:47 EST Tuesday Challenge March 30 th Check out a couple of the upper body work out videos in the fitness section. If you don't have hand weights try using soup cans, or anything that you can hold. There is a really good one from last year's swimsuit boot camp. This year's requires a fitness ball which is fun if you have the money to invest in one. They range from 10 to 15 dollars, and can be found in Target or Walmart stores or any stores like that. There are other videos though that don't require anything but hand weights.... Tue, 31 Mar 2009 10:42:50 EST What are your spark streaks, and are they working? If you have any spark streaks going let us know, and are they working for you?

Right now mine are tracking and logging my food and exercise consistently, and exercising everyday. So far they've been working. Tue, 31 Mar 2009 10:36:19 EST Newby here! Hi all, I'm J and just started with SparkPeople on Saturday (in other words, still getting the hang of it!)

I have gained some weight over the past year (and quit smoking!), so I'm here to get more in shape, motivate myself and lose some pudge!

Looking forward to meeting you! -J
126 Mon, 30 Mar 2009 23:03:37 EST 2nd week weekly goal try doing your daily amount of cardio at least 4 times this week. Hey everyone-

My name is Becka- I'm 27 from southern Minnesota. I joined SP in January but didn't look at it after the initial join until my Biggest Loser teammates (a local NBC station is doing its own BL!) joined and encouraged me to get into it.

I've been focusing on my weight/health since January, and really 'cleaning up' what goes into my body. Loving the SP features, especially the SparkTeams! Sun, 29 Mar 2009 16:05:43 EST Spark workouts? Okay, I have a whole album full of exercise DVDs that have been gathering dust, and I intend to use them. But how do I put that into "my Fitness"? Sun, 29 Mar 2009 14:04:19 EST Cardio thread I'm going to start this thread so that you can log in here as well as on your fitness trakker the amount of cardio you do. That can be any running, walking, swimming, videos, dancing, or any cardio that you do. This way you have another means of being accountable.

03/27 did 45 minutes of walking while running some errands. Sat, 28 Mar 2009 10:15:22 EST Saturday March 28, 2009 Daily challenge Hows it going everyone?

The best way someone told me to get through the weekend is to plan it. Plan on what you'll be eating, or doing, and keep active. Weekends are always the hardest for me, and since every other week I get three days off I try to do something active at least two of those days. So either on your blog, or what ever you use plan some fun activity for this weekend. Sat, 28 Mar 2009 10:09:33 EST help Can someone tell me how to create the visual wt goal tracker everyone has at the bottom of their posts
Thanks Sat, 28 Mar 2009 08:53:54 EST Hello Spark People!! Hello everyone! Newbie here! Just started site today and wow! I hope I can figure this thing out! It looks as thought it will be good for me. About me - I am a new teacher - career changer. I am just completing an 8 month intense course for my education courses while teaching 3rd grade. The lack of time to exercise and eat properly have added pounds to an already overweight body.
