I'm new to this forum, but not to diabetes. I was an insulin dependent type two diabetic for 7 years. For the past year I have been insulin free. After dropping 91 pounds and being able to exercise, I went from 3 shots a day to none. I don't even take medicine. I must control it with diet and exercise. I am still a diabetic. I still struggle with high and low blood sugars (more low than high now because of too much exercise and not enough food). I could really use some advice to help ... Definitely reminds me that I need to take care of myself!! Tue, 5 Dec 2006 10:54:44 EST what kind of blood testing do you use? I like the contour but, my pocketbook says relion (Walmart Brand). We are having a lot of salads, the fattening kind that I so love (pasta, potato, macaroni), so I've decided that instead of denying myself some and then going back late at night and sn...
