Fri, 3 Feb 2012 07:03:07 EST I'm so excited I found this Team I did not know you were here. I've been a member of SparkPeople since November and just started looking for some teams I might enjoy.

I'm from Illinois, and my beloved Roxie is 10 years old. I know this has nothing to do with MY health....

Does your BT have god-awful gas? How do you minimize it? Play around with their food? I was told that dogs with the shorter snout have gas because of how they breathe. I was just curious if there was a way to ease my pain short of lighting candles all over the house. (which I will probably still do anyway :-) ) Tue, 15 Nov 2011 11:45:13 EST We're new! Howdy!

Me and my 8 month old BT Samson joining from Connecticut!! Wed, 9 Nov 2011 14:45:21 EST We adopted her! We adopted the BT we were trying out. Since she was a stray we didn't know what name would work. We found out during a "Big Bang Theory" commercial when I was making fun of the character Sheldon who knocks on the door three times and says "Penny", that her name is Penny. I did that and she looked at me and jumped on my lap up on the couch! Penny is wonderful. The vet guesses that she's 1.5 years old by her size, development and her teeth. We can't believe someone didn't try to find her.... Mon, 3 Oct 2011 15:03:35 EST My baby girl has diabetes So I found out this weekend that my 9 year old BT has diabetes. It was actually kind of a relief, as the blood work took forever and so many bad thoughts went through my mind waiting on the results. Now, we are changing feeding schedules, our schedules, and our other dogs' schedules for feeding/insulin's wierd that I have to give my BT shots every day forever, but I wouldn't think of it any other way...she is my baby, even if at 9 years old, and still has a long time to go.
... Mon, 3 Oct 2011 13:46:38 EST New Puppy I finally found a Boston Terrier puppy, traveled to Illinois from Ohio to get her and she is a beautiful little girl. Name is yet to be determined. Her birth name is Dottie, sort of an omen. don't ya think. I will post some pictures later. Mon, 3 Oct 2011 09:26:16 EST We're meeting a new Boston tonight! My Boston in my profile pic was Sheba. I got her when she was 9 mo. old and she died when she was 13 years old. That was July 2009. We have a cattle dog (we raise cattle), but no house dog right now.

I told someone from our vet's office that if a Boston came in that was being surrendered due to a move or allergies to let me know, we might be interested in adopting it. Well... we're meeting a little Boston Terrier girl tonight and going to baby sit her for the weekend as a trial... Fri, 23 Sep 2011 13:50:59 EST HI, me again Hello to all the BT lovers, been awhile since I have posted, a lot has happened this year with me and my family. Most of you know we lost our BT Juliette nearly 2 yrs ago now and last Jan we lost our white Boxer JoJo, both were 15 yrs at the time, so I know they had a good long life. Mon, 21 Jul 2008 14:56:56 EST Hi everyone! I just found this group and thought I'd join in. I'm Ann from Boise, ID. I'll let you read up on my sparkpage for most of the details. I was never an animal lover as a child so having a dog is an experience for me. It's been good.

Our Boston is named Buffee. She is 10 years old now, but most of the time still acts like a puppy. She was owned by a 94 year old man who decided she had too much energy and he couldn't keep up with her. I saw a link once (but didnt read it) about a mommy and me strength training program...I had the impression of using the baby as a dumbbell and thought....I wish I could use the dogs like that sort of. And at 34 and 25 pounds, I got some pretty heavy potential weights. And with their muscles....who knows what the tension equivalents would be.

But I guess it wo... Hello everyone!

One of my Bostons, Angus, has a really bad jumping up problem. I've tried to teach him not to, but I guess my ways of doing so are not right....
He knows the command 'gentle' but doesn't seem to listen to it if I say it when he's jumping up. They are two very great little girls - so wonderful with my non-furry little girls 41 ! I'll get some pictures of them up very soon! Sat, 24 May 2008 11:40:57 EST Accidental dog bite My son David (15) got bit by a Boston Terrier, David was at the neighbors to my mother, about to cut their grass for them and was knealing, petting the dog, normally very friendly, the dog was excited to see David, in the excitement the dog jumped up and caught Davids lip with a tooth, in the process it ripped a large gash from his lip down towards his chin. It took 10 stitches to put it all back together, 5 in the lip area and 5 on the skin area. David was very upset needless to say, I let... Tue, 20 May 2008 11:47:45 EST My New Baby!! He's not big on cuddling like our chihuahuas. He also makes a "Mrrr" (like a growl) when we pick him up. It's the same type of sound he makes when we play tug of war w/him. Is this typical? He doesn't s... Fri, 14 Mar 2008 10:16:39 EST does anybody Else's BT ..... I would like to know if any other Bostons out there throw up a congestion like substance. Mon, 4 Feb 2008 15:30:26 EST Going Camping Hi,

I am going camping this weekend, and bringing my little fur baby with me. I am wondering about bugs and other protection for him. He is on Revolution, but I don't want mosquitoes to bother him.
This is my first time camping, and I have received a lot of people camping tips, but I have seen almost nothing for pets.
Does anyone have some good info?
Thanks Mon, 4 Feb 2008 13:04:16 EST Hi All! I am a brand new boston mommy. I couldn't be happier with my little puppy Yoda. He's so cute, and seems to learn so fast.
He has so much energy, he makes a great walking partner. Tue, 29 Jan 2008 19:51:39 EST Hi from Georgia I found this team today. Sadly, I don't have a Boston Terrier right now. I have been owned by three Boston Terriers in the past though. I got Peanut when she was a puppy and she was my constant companion for 15 years. I've been without her for several years now and truly miss her. Jocksir was a rescue dog and he was more my daughter's dog than mine. He was a very well intentioned dog and completely devoted to my daughter. Our smallest Boston was Snuffles. Snuffles was with us the shor... Tue, 29 Jan 2008 12:23:55 EST Should we be concerned about dog toys from China? So I was thinking... hannah's toys are mostly made in china. Who is to say there isn't lead in the paint they use or the rubber? I would imagine it wouldn't make headlines.

I was just concerned because many of you may remember she gets the shakes at least once a week and now I'm being paranoid and wondering if its a heavy metal buildup in her little body.

I've already tossed all her plastic toys, especially the really cheap ones from walmart. Now all we have are tennis b... Fri, 25 Jan 2008 19:44:57 EST Hi everyone!!!!! Hi my name is Kim and I just started Spark pages a few days ago. Mon, 14 Jan 2008 08:25:52 EST Hi from Ohio Hi, I'm pretty new to spark and have found a few great groups already. But to find a group of Boston lovers is great. Can't wait to talk to others about our boy! Actually our Boston is my husband's dog (a birthday gift from me. He wanted one sooo bad and I could not imagine why. I love terriers but didn't see the attraction to Bostons.) Needless to say three years later -I can't imagine my life without one! Chubby is the cream in our coffee! Sat, 12 Jan 2008 09:23:12 EST hi boston terrier lovers I am new to SP and cannot believe I have found a BT site here! Our 'child' was born on July 3, 2003. He is happiest when everyone is home and he is either playing with, or snuggling up to one of his beloved family members! I could go on and on - I am sure you would all understand:}- but a little bit about me now...
Having just found SP, I am eager to meet some frie...
