I have been using it for about three years now but have a hard time finding others willing to learn about it. I have started going back to the gym lately and save about ten minutes each day to sit in the sauna and practice EFT on whatever is going on at the time. People look at me like I am crazy but I keep doing it anyway! Sun, 2 Jan 2011 23:44:52 EST Getting started... Hi All,
I've stopped by Spark People off and on since my older sister introduced it to me probably a year ago. I recently saw the EFT group and finally felt like I had found a group where I could fit in. I've used EFT off and on for the past 6 months or so. My mom introduced it to me and I have found it helpful, especially when I use it with Psych-K and muscle testing. I'm not very good with rating my emotions but I am comfortable with muscle testing so I use the two together.
... I'm Julia from Tulsa, Oklahoma. For most of my life, food was my favorite way to escape from my feelings, problems and reality in general. I was really good at it too, lol, I made it to over 275 pounds. Then I found the guy who showed me how to change and take control of my life. Ever since I have found real, lasting, inner peace. EFT works but I went for nearly two years tapping rarely (less than once a month). When I started my food and exercise plan in December, I did a spreadsheet with a page of things I want to do daily and another where I track food eaten and calories. I added tapping on 2 items a day on the daily TODO page. I sat one day and brainstormed all the things I would like to change. I proritized them into two groups; the serious and the wishful. Each day I do one from each list. To make it easy a... About a month ago, I read a testimonial which was included on the my EFT newsletter. The woman said instead of tapping each point, she reiki'd each point. Aha! This is perfect for me... I nearly always wake up early, I can quietly reiki the points (and for the 9 gamut I hum and count silently). I quietly 'be' with each point, and I can sense it's release. Or I yawn or sigh (other signs of release). Before I know it, I quite often fall back to sleep.

Are there any other re... Wed, 17 Mar 2010 07:31:11 EST Team leader ? Tapping on specific issues with losing weight is where I started. Then as I progressed, I realized that any "angst" in my life would make me want to overeat. I soon used EFT to tap on "everything." I use it daily to maintain my weight loss. I would find a lot of support in reading about any daily successes the rest of you have.

Today, I was feeling extremely driven and anxious after sharing something a little awkward with one of my daughters. As I started tapping on the issue,... Wed, 24 Jun 2009 21:49:53 EST New from Barrie, Ontario Hello. I don't know a lot about EFT but I would like to learn. I want to learn alternative therapies to help my depression. I've been learning as much about healthy living as I can. I have done a lot of research (on my own based on my own body), much reading and I've helped myself quite a bit. It's changed my life. But I can't stop there. I need more. The medical industry has let me down in a big way and I've lost all faith in them. I figure that if I don't 'fix' me than no one else will. Sun, 12 Apr 2009 23:11:14 EST What's the plan? Okay.
NO excuses.
Tonight I will tap on remembering to tap before I eat... every time.
I will not forget to remember to tap first, eat second.
I will write out the sequence and share it here and I will tap it every day at least once a day for one week.
That's my plan.
Consider me accountable!
Tue, 31 Mar 2009 16:12:34 EST Now that we know who's here... Hello everyone,

It just dawned on me to see if there was an EFT Team. I just lost my first five pounds (the first this time anyway). I know when I experience some weight loss success I tend to sabotage myself. I have had success with EFT, but not so much with weight loss, so I thought I would try doing it on sabotage issues this time, and come at it that way.

Anyway, it is great knowing you all are here. I look forward to reading your posts.

Namaste. Sun, 29 Mar 2009 14:36:43 EST So excited! I've recently discovered EFT. So I am an extreme novice. I hope this position is why I have not been able to find a job anywhere else. It is... Mon, 23 Mar 2009 20:59:43 EST Discussion topic for week of March 9 - #2 I read this article on helpful goals and it talked about love goals. These are goals that are for doing more loving acts to your body and self. Instead of having a weight goal for a certain time frame, a love goal would be to feed yourself a healthy enjoyable breakfast every day or enjoy a walk once every week (instead of trying to power through it to burn as many calories).

So in line with this, Do you think you need more 'love goals' in your life and, if so, what are they? Mon, 9 Mar 2009 13:09:33 EST Week of March 9 - Team question #1 How has your tapping going? Have you been keeping it up? What have you been tapping on? Mon, 9 Mar 2009 12:58:40 EST Question #3 for the week of March 2 Here is a question that puzzles me.

20 years ago, sizes were larger than they are today. My mother's wedding dress had a 25 inch waist and yet she was considered a larger size and was actually a size 9/10. Now, it would be considered a size 4. Back then, a size 0, didn't even exist.

What do you think of the size change over the years? Wed, 4 Mar 2009 00:07:27 EST Week of March 2 - Question #2 What is your reason for loosing weight? Tue, 3 Mar 2009 12:45:34 EST Question of the week of March 2 - #1 Have you ever heard of the waist to height ratio and what do you think of it? Tue, 3 Mar 2009 12:11:06 EST There is a spot for appetite control If you place your thumb on the back upper part of your ear and your forefinger inside the ear, corresponding to your thumb and squeeze lightly it will help decrease your appetite. It sends energy to your appetite center and tells your brain you are full. It is the same principal as those stop smoking things you see advertised on TV.

Raven Tue, 3 Mar 2009 03:10:33 EST QUESTION #2 - Week of February 23 How did you figure out your goal weight and do you think it is reasonable?
Mon, 23 Feb 2009 15:20:13 EST Question #1 -Week of February 23 So Ive been feeling a little overwhelmed doing a question every weekday. And also, I havent been able to participate in the discussions like I want to because I dont have enough time before the next day rolls around and then I miss out.

So, this is my proposal for the team questions. I will only post one or two questions a week at the beginning of the week and then they can run all week. I will try to make them relating to EFT, Weight loss, and challenges in life that relate to ... Mon, 23 Feb 2009 15:15:19 EST Woo Hoo!!!!! I am in my late 50's and just learned about EFT last year. Just learning how to use it, but I've heard great things about it. I'm all for using all the tools you've got, and so here I am.
I also noticed you're a small group and could use another member! I have 38 lbs I want to lose, for health and for self confidence. I have arthritis, and the extra poundage on my hips is causing more pain. Good luck to us all!!! Wed, 4 Jun 2008 14:15:17 EST Hi, I'm Marie......... The first time I saw 'tapping' in use was when my sister was doing PT for a back injury. Being of a curious nature, I found the EFT site on the internet and am very interested in learning more. Thank you for creating this thread on SP. I'm anxious to hear how others are using EFT and what results they are benefiting. Tue, 3 Jun 2008 12:09:56 EST New and Curious Hi everyone,
I joined this group, and spark people in general last night.
I was really excited to see this group.
