Either the doctor didn't know or care, or the nurses didn't tell him what was going on. I am on short acting insulin that I have to take every time I eat, I received none while in the hospital. My blood sugar got up to 290, it should have been between 60 and 120 for everything after breakfast. and should have been under 180 for the first reading of the day. I realize that this week is Valentine's week and we are all tempted with chocolates and yummy sweets (Red Hot Jelly Hearts are my fav). So I'm going to challenge all of us to make sure we get in our water. In the food tracker area, there is a water intake meter. SP recommends 8 glasses of water a day, but I'm going to challenge all of us to drink between 8-10 glasses a day. Tue, 20 May 2008 18:23:44 EST Does walking around the mall count as exercise? I had to go find a birthday present for a friend last night before I went to work at my second job. I did a lot of walking around the mall and it was pretty fast paced because I was on a time frame. Would you count that as exercise? I had to work from 8-12 last night so by the time I got home I was exhausted and didn't get any of my strength training in. I was hoping to count the walking I did do as exercise but I'm curious to find out what all of your opinions are?
