I think part of my issue with the scale not moving is the amount of food I eat at a meal. Which is the better way to get a "serving Size" of a food- Scales (by weight) or with measuring cups? And also if I eat a large piece of fruit is it one serving or two? I'm a bit confused about "serving size" I think. Wed, 21 Oct 2009 17:04:33 EST It's not BUDGING! Hey there! I am Marie. I am 36 years old and am ready for my weight loss journey. I am strapped to the wagon so I can't fall off! Good to be here! I can't wait to meet everyone! Mon, 13 Apr 2009 16:23:25 EST Weather? What is the weather like where you are?

For me, it's windy, cold and cloudy. Not a good day, very icky. Mon, 13 Apr 2009 13:11:33 EST Hi All!! I'm a busy mother of 2. One is 8 and the other just so happens to be 35! Like many mom's out there, my time seems to be consumed by taking the little one to practice, games, and cleaning house in between. Unfortunately, it's led me to "meals on the go" which I must admit, is not a healthy choice. Realizing that my extra muffin top is not going to go away on it's own, i decided to make a change to a healthier way of life. 104 Mon, 13 Apr 2009 13:03:51 EST New Member Hello, my name is Carrie.
I've been overweight for a while and just recently decided to try and lose that excess fat. Wed, 8 Apr 2009 15:23:17 EST A newbie from SF Bay area Just found this board and it sounds fun! I've been a Sparker for a little over a month and have lost a few pounds, but it's easy to get discouraged. I'm at a stage where I'm trying to just hang on - I have nothing against little girls, but someone with 10 pounds to lose may not relate with some who has 75 pounds to lose and a completely different concept of a happy body image! I'm big all over - tall (just under 6 feet) with a good 75 lbs I'd like to get rid of, and realize that still won... My husband and I are going on a trip for our 35th Anniversary and I want to be able to set on a 11 hr airplane ride in some comfort, not stuffed like a sausage in a airplane chair.

So I have lots of work to do. Mon, 6 Apr 2009 01:12:41 EST Hi just joined your team Hi everyone. I am new to this team but not to spark. I needed a team with people about my size and that had challenges going on and this looked like a good one. I have not been really working hard lately at losing weight but I am going to get back at it full force now. I want to lose the most weight I can before I go on my summer vacation and hopefully be at or near my goal weight by this time next year. Sat, 4 Apr 2009 18:20:45 EST Greeting to the Team I was scanning sparkteams and came across this one. I was looking for another team that was made up of more people my size range. It's kind of frustrating to see posts from people struggling with weight loss when their goal is to lose 10 pounds and they have lost 5. I don't have anything against them, but it makes me kind of self conscious to see my little ticker showing a goal of 100 pound weight loss and so far from goal and see a 125 pound person with a weight loss of goal of 7 pounds. ... Things fizzled towards the end of summer and I find myself starting all over again.
