I am so happy!
Today I am UNDER 300lbs for the first time in easily a decade. 299.6 to be exact. I'm so happy I could flip right out. 100 It's taken a long time and a lot of mental struggle. For me food isn't the issue. Heck, good choices vs. bad choices and getting moving, it's that simple right? It is. But it's the mental work that's tough for me. Staying motivated, wanting it, not giving in, not giving up, all that.

Anyway, thought I would share. I th... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 10:44:46 EST 2 people welcomed me with sp mail but i accidenally deleted them before i saw what was said...if you could re-message me i would appreciate it...thanks so much for the welcome! Thu, 25 Apr 2013 20:42:07 EST I think I've found the right group for me now. I am worried about this, but I do have more than 200 lbs. to lose. I weigh 354 lbs., and I'm tired of not being able to enjoy time with my daughter. At 38, I should be able to go sledding with my daughter. I'm scared to because I'm scared I'll break a leg or something. So, I don't go. I take her, stand at the top of the hill, and watch. So, I'm losing out on a life with her. This summer, I want to begin to feel better, and be able to enjoy it with her. Wed, 24 Apr 2013 10:46:14 EST Getting ready for Gastric Bypass on 3/21/13 I am both excited and afraid. Wed, 9 Jan 2013 22:41:07 EST Happy New Year Just decided that after being on this team for several years, (it is my favorite) my participation has been slacking, that my 2013 Spark-a-lution is to huddle with 200+ at least 5 times a week. I love reading about all that others are doing. Many days I don't have much to add, but I can join in with a huddle. A quick way to check in and a bit of focus for me. Hi there,

Does anyone know why Sparkpeople records my calories burned 2.5 times higher than the machines at the gym?

Is there something I should re-set somewhere? I'm new and will introduce myself shortly, but I had to ask, Is it just as effective to walk three times a day for 20 minutes as it is to walk once a day for 60 minutes? I guess that is two questions. Is it just as effective for cardio? Is it just as effective for weightloss? Wed, 20 Jan 2010 17:14:06 EST Lowcarb Eating I eat lowcarb for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that I don't have to take insulin for my Type 2 diabetes if I eat lowcarb -- I can control my sugars with just metformin. Another reason is that I find I have no cravings eating this way. If I feel hungry it is because I am hungry not because my body is craving stuff I don't need. No thank-you concerning a most of the carb/fat/sugar/sodium laden seasonal treats. I thoughtfully pick those that I do part take, becoming a food snob. I turn down anything that is store bought(after all I can have that anytime). Homemade goodies must be specific once a year items before I give them a second thought. I have savored bites that pass the test. Because it's a holiDAY, nota a month nor week.

What's your plan? <BR... Mon, 21 Dec 2009 02:34:27 EST another newbie Hi I am new. My name is Dennie, I am 45 married with 2 sons, 1 in high school- the other in college. I am really unsure of how much I weigh because I can't find a scale that goes over 350. Ideally I would like to loose 225lbs but right now I am just shooting for getting under 300.

I did gain a lot of weight with my pregnancies but then lost 165lbs and got to my goal weight. Hint, hint. Its not something my insurance covers and I dont think I want to go that route. Ive considered going on Atkins although my PCP says that a diet high in protein is not good for my kidneys. Since Ive been having kidney issues. The only light I see at the end of the tunnel is for me to do about 800 calories a day. I cant deal with this weight and all the problems its broug... Sat, 5 Dec 2009 23:03:35 EST Failed Another week gone and Ive failed again. It almost seems like Im doomed to die fat. I dont want that. I dont want to have to do surgery either. Afraid of going under. Plus, my insurance wont pay for it. Im just not sure what to do anymore. Perhaps I should accept that Im meant to be fat. Sat, 5 Dec 2009 16:35:00 EST I'm back Hello everyone..........Here I am ready to try again. I know that you don't fail until you quit trying. At least that is on my side. Mostly, I have been lazy and unwilling to give up a lot of the foods that I love. I know that with moderation I can still have them occasionally, so that gives me hope. I am constantly reminded of a favorite saying of mine. "Everything you say and everything you do , begins in the mind. When you lose control of your mind, you lose control of your life." ... Wed, 2 Dec 2009 14:50:02 EST Im totally scared Ive made this decision probably a thousand times. But it seems like every time I go to my doctor's I get a new diagnosis.Im on my way to an early grave. So, Ive decided I hope for the final time, that Im getting the weight. Would love the support and to be a support to all in their endeavors. Im terrible for it, Im still upset over a guy calling my ugly a year ago coz i told him i wasnt interested.

Well anyway she said it would be a good idea to write down the complimen...
