Sun, 10 Jul 2011 20:38:21 EST Books to Inspire and Motivate . There are times when our thoughts become so enmeshed in one direction that we find ourselves trapped in a corner unable to step back or move forward. It is as though we are caught in a state of frozen annimation similar to an "artist's or writer's creative block". Often, all it takes is a chance remark, or a book written, to remind us that there are other ways - to re-ignite our enthusiasm - to inspire fresh thought - and re-motivate us into achieving our goals , by following new directions.... I've been weighing every day for almost three months and have seen my weight go down only 11 lbs. Seems like I should have seen it go down a lot further than that shouldn't I? But I hear things from friends like I should only be losing one pound a week and that quitting smoking often results in temporary (ugh!) weight gain. Sun, 6 Mar 2011 09:29:56 EST Hello! I am Kat, and determined to quit---again. Need a little, no alot, of support to do it and keep doing it. I am fine for a few months, or a year, then something sets me off, and I start again. Each time quitting gets harder. Been using SP to help with weight issues, and just found out about this group. Sun, 6 Mar 2011 09:08:24 EST Hello from a scared newbie! Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I am 27 years old. I have been smoking for 10 years and I can feel the influence it has done to my health. My Dad used to be a smoker and now has a hole in his throat. My Father is my hero, but I done want to end up like that. I want to quit, but with perfect honesty, I don't know if I'm strong enough. Not to sound stupid, but I don't know how to quit. I'd appreciate any support offered and I sincerely hope to get to know some of you.

Lisa Tue, 1 Mar 2011 20:39:07 EST Future Challenges Personally, I love challenges. I was extremely selfish and for no real or acceptable reason, I allowed myself to fall into a little black hole. I fell off the wagon on everything. I ate like a pig, skipped several workouts, and yes......I smoked. I really have no excuses...So I was a little stressed or busier than usual. I know better. And rather than use the ...
