As of now, I am just a pagan and hoping to meet some like minded individuals.

I live in Central Texas and suffer from PCOS and insulin resistance, so I need to eat low carb. I have a very difficult time doing so. I love to run and am stil... Mon, 28 Sep 2015 20:58:58 EST Quick intro I am a proud mom of 2, from Powell Tn, natural witch. I am Heather. I dropped off the Spark Grid back in 2013 and decided recently I was ready to become active and get this thing done. 30 I have practiced solitary (as opposed to just studying) for about 3 years now. My focus is with the Goddesses. I have a close knit group locally that I do ritual with on occasion. Looking forward to being a part of this group. Mon, 27 Apr 2015 19:58:51 EST Returning SP member Hi everyone. I was an active SP member a couple of years ago and wandered away for some reason. I'm back and focused on my health and weight loss goals. It's good to be back. :) Tue, 31 Mar 2015 10:42:53 EST Inspiration for new challenge type, interested? I was thinking... we keep doing these LONG extended challenges and I was thinking... what if we do daily challenges or weekly. That will encourage people to sign on and come in and look what's up and we might get people to do a day and show encouragement and then do the next that wets their whistle.

Thoughts? Thu, 12 Feb 2015 11:15:32 EST Hello I used to be on SP, but kind of got away from it. But, now I am back and finding it quite useful. I am an ecclectic witch. I have been practicing about 18 years now. I have a wonderful husband that is working on weight loss, although not here on SP. My mother in law is also on SP and also a witch. My family consists of 3 kiddos, a 15 year old step-son, a 7 yr old daughter and an 17 month old boy. All very active.
My weight was down quite a bit before I got preggo with the last one, but ... It has been really hard for me lately, but I have been doing better since November when I crawled out of my deepest depression I have been in in years. I know my stresser and there is nothing I can immediately do about it. It is Mississippi! It is the Delta! It is the terrible people that live here! It is the rudeness and overall disdain that people have for one another here. Do not let people fool you, the south is not th... Sat, 30 Aug 2014 12:35:32 EST Hello! Thought I would say hello and get involved. I am a returning member after loosing 132 pounds and kept it off for several years but 50 pounds have returned much to my dismay! Time to get busy again! Wed, 25 Jun 2014 23:23:50 EST Hello! I used to be a member of this team, and then I left.

It had nothing to do with the team. I think back about how deeply in the closet I was and how much self-esteem I was lacking and it makes me a little sad. Over the past year I've started to embrace my identity as a healer and it has helped me get in touch with my faith again. I feel like I'm ready to be open about it. Hiding it for 12 years took it's toll and I've just realized how unnecessary that was.

So I'm back, an... Wed, 25 Jun 2014 08:59:14 EST Hello..... I´m 53 years old and in Dec I broke my right ankle, it was a clean fracture so i didn{t need surgery and really didn´t need pain meds. It´s June and I was wondering if it is too soon to start walking on a treadmill. My doctor said it would be ok, but to take it easy. I don´t know why I seem to need encouragement for this, I guess I´m feeling a little insecure. I was just walking, twisted my ankle and it broke.

Maybe i should just get back on the horse so to speak....... Tue, 10 Jun 2014 10:26:42 EST Rituals for Health Merry Meet! What rituals do you enjoy for promoting personal health? In my solitary, eclectic Wiccan practice, I keep it simple: I use a terminated clear quartz crystal to inscribe a health rune onto a blue candle, light the candle, and gaze at it while visualizing myself standing there at my ideal weight, or exercising or eating healthily. How about you?
Brightest blessings,
Caitlyn Mon, 2 Jun 2014 04:10:44 EST Before the Fall Harvest I Will.... Ok, how do you finish this sentence? If you like you can add a bit of "why"
Before the Fall Harvest I Will get into the habit of eating on schedule and drink more water.
I have a bad habit of skipping breakfast and then making up for it in bad ways. I know I should drink more water for several reasons. I'm hopefully breaking my plateau and on my way again. Wed, 14 May 2014 12:39:21 EST What The Heck Happened To OPur Huddle Section? Come visit us under the heading Challenge and Motivation Forum! Sat, 15 Mar 2014 21:54:20 EST Hello I just recently joined SparkPeople. The Pagan Place Team popped up on my screen today, and I felt like I had come home. I follow no particular path, but bits and pieces of many. I quit smoking two years ago, and I have steadily gained weight ever since. I have gone from 135 lbs. to 180, and I can't seem to get it under control. I'm hoping I can learn how here. So, here's to mutual friendship! Thu, 6 Mar 2014 13:58:33 EST New Members Welcome I'm really bad about saying hi to new people, even when they post a Merry Meet! I'll try to modify that behavior, now that I have escaped two (successive, with different people) years of negativity. Praise Goddess I'm free! Oh, that was a bit too melodramatic, wasn't it?

I am always happy to see new people come into our little corner. My name's Jess, and I'm new to Sparkpeople. I'm a pagan mom to a teenage girl who grew up learning (from me) all about how to sit on her computer all day and damn the consequences. I was a little nervous to post because I've gotten negative feedback from my friends when I sought their support in my mission to halt my increasing weight. This is my very first diet. I have no idea what I'm doing. Unlike most people who are more familiar with diets, I grew up skinny all my life unt... Thu, 20 Feb 2014 15:51:02 EST Introductions and such Hi guys!!

I've been off and on Sparkpeople for quite some time now. I was mainly using the site for its food tracking but I think getting involved with a community, especially a pagan once since I'm all alone out here, would be the best thing for me right now. Mon, 13 Jan 2014 21:16:52 EST [insert witty, inspiring, charismatic title here] Hello, all!

I've been with Spark on-and-off for a couple years now. I like it for the food tracking and other goal tracking sections. It's an easy way to keep track of how I'm doing. I eat pretty healthy things, but just in the last week, I'm discovering that even though I may eat healthy things, you have to eat the right portions and quantities. I tend to too many yummy fatty things like peanut butter and almonds, and yet oddly I still have difficulty meeting my protein recommenda... Tue, 7 Jan 2014 20:08:09 EST New Here Merry Meet! So hope to meet everyone and be an active member of this group.

Melanie Tue, 31 Jul 2012 18:58:50 EST Returning Member Hello everyone!

My name is Celeste and I am 27 years old.

I have been a member of SparkPeople probably 3-4
times.

I keep trying to do this alone, and I can't do it.
I am tired of trying to do it alone.

I need help. (mostly out of the closet pagan as well)

As I said. My main job if you would call it that, I call it a blessing, is to care for my elderly and disabled mother full time. I have a brother that works to pay our bills and help to keep food on the table.

After a long conversation today at lunch with Mom, I went in search of recovering my power over my health and weight. I know that... Tue, 17 Jul 2012 16:34:13 EST Hello lovely people! I just joined SparkPeople at the suggestion of some good friends, and I am glad to find a Pagan Community here as well.
I'm Zira, I've been an ecclectic (Chaotic) left hand path Pagan for over 10 years, and within the past 5 years, found an amazing local Pagan group to hang with and learn from. These people are seriously amazing and I am very fortunate to have found them. :)
I am eager to make some new friends here, in my journey to fitness.

Cheers! Mon, 16 Jul 2012 00:04:07 EST Progress My weight is still tending in a generally-down direction. My High is 233, and I've been as low as 227... well, the other day I was 225.6, but I think the battery is going out on the scale and I need to check that. Usually you can step on the scale three times and get the same weight all three. This time I stepped on the scale and got 225.6, but then an E; the second time was 226.8, and I tried it a third time (again, it usually gives you the same weight, and I was concerned about the health ... I was 241 just yesterday, don't think I can lose 5 pounds in one day. But I'm still claiming them.

Hugs,
Moss Sun, 1 Apr 2012 12:39:23 EST Hello Hello everyone! Sun, 26 Feb 2012 14:14:10 EST February 21st New Moon in Pisces This is a little late but I'd like to throw it out there anyway.

In general, new moons are a time of new beginnings, change, rest, and banishing of negativity. The most recent new moon was this past Tuesday in Pisces. An interesting Pisces occurrence is that Neptune has returned to his home sign of Pisces and will remain there for the next 13 years. I tried their site out for a month and I really miss Sparkpeople and found their site to be kind of boring. I did discover a cool gadget called a Fitbit though...and I love using it.

I may have added a few of you to my friends but I am asking others to add me, if you want. Hi, I am a 45 year old grandmother of 4. I love to read, cross stitch, make jewlery, dragons, garden and hike. I also love my dog (Goober) and my husband very much. I am a solitary Wiccan. I am quiet and shy until I get to know you, so none of my friends would say that I am quiet or shy in any way. I have weighed 242 for about 6 years now and I'm ready to get rid of it. I always quit after a couple of days with many different excuses, I could really use help sticking to my plan. Sun, 29 Jan 2012 16:12:25 EST Returning AGAIN! Greetings all. My name is Eden. I'm 45 years old and have been happily married for 20 years. I've lost 160 pounds and I'd like to lose 15 more. I'm a vegetarian and I eat healthy, but I have a very sedentary lifestyle. I look forward to "speaking" to all of you. Thu, 5 Jan 2012 23:54:47 EST Merry Meet! Hello folks - I'm looking forward to getting to know some like-minded Sparkpagans! A bit about me: I'm 39, and I'm predominantly a solitary eclectic, though I am blessed to have kindred in my community, and I participate in many group rituals and activities. At the core, however, is my personal connection to the Lord & Lady.

Why did I join Spark people? I tried to find homes for both babies but every time I did, it fell apart. The people were moving after all to a place that didn't permit pets, they found another cat at th... Tue, 20 Dec 2011 12:41:52 EST Yule-to-Imbolc Challenge Wow. I have been having so much fun (note the extra pounds) that I almost forgot I had promised to run a Challenge, Yule to Imbolc.

I'm reviving the name "Compact By Candlemas". We need to spend the rest of the Holiday season watching our pounds, not judging ourselves for watching them add up.

Last year I found myself at 272 pounds on January 15. I really thought being over 40 and losing over 100 pounds and maybe a few other catagories were my only choices. I would have never believed that a site could narrow down an individuals likes to this point. I'm really hyped to be here and I hope I can motivate and encourage all of you as much as you will me..Blessed be! Sun, 11 Dec 2011 22:48:28 EST New Member Hello All,
Looking forward to meeting new members as I get started on this new journey!! Please feel free to say hello anytime. All comments welcome. ~Ladybyrd~ Sun, 4 Dec 2011 17:36:38 EST I want to be able to celebrate the full moon again So I merged with Artemis, Diana whatever you want to call her probably 7 years ago. Some things have happened over the past couple years and now every full moon my body is completely taken over. She does her thing as the goddess of the moon, but because she is pulled in so many directions (subsequently me) i'm barely able to function much less be able to celebrate the full moon myself. I do have a division between her and i for most of the time, but she controls it and she takes over entirely... Would it make sense to increase calorie consumption along with exercise ... Thu, 29 Jul 2010 14:50:13 EST Hi! New to team :) Hi everyone. My name is Mia. Back story is I'm married and this guy is a friend of both me and my husband (more my husband's). However, I always got this feeling he wanted more. I won't go into details here, but the reason I did the reading was b/c we have been trying to get him to come for a visit and when it's weeks away he says yeah, but when it gets right to the week before he always has an excuse for not comming.

So I did the readin... The sun hi the leaves and i realized with such clarity and so suddenly that everything in my life and everyone elses's life is going to be alright. It hit me so hard that i started bawling a... I saw a road running upward on the side of a hill with a broken metal arch. I saw trees; white birch, oak, and pine. All of them still hav foliage on them and i saw a water tower that's how i knew it was a town. The water was murky greyish brown. Last night i dreamt of meeting a man on a dirt road in a very ancient but broken city. He laughed and joked with me for what seemed to be forever. He suddenly looked up and s... Not officially practicing.

I'm always drawn out to the full moon. But last time there was something really spectacular about it. I am angry with myself. i hate way too many people for stupid reasons. i tend to wallow in my own self-pity for something i want or want to be but am too afraid to seize the oppotunity to make it happen. I realize that too much of these things are unhealthy and can lead to a block in loosing my weight. I am crying a lot this morning because i honestly don't have a choice now. Etheric is the only word that seems to come to mind for the time being. I feel better, stronger, wiser, taller, more proud than i have ever been and there seems to be no reason for it. My husband told me that i absolutely glowed. I know for a fact that i am not pregnant, so that's not it lol. I feel so wonderful. I feel so fantastic. I feel so superior somehow and that in itself is amazing. Sat, 17 Apr 2010 16:50:16 EST BEEN SLACKING the last 3 days have been horrible for me. I have been slacking because of women problems and they seem to be getting worse for me. My 2-year-old has taken to hurting himself just to get a reaction out of people. Last night he was the worst yet. Started by pulling his own ear really hard, went to pinching his own check, and ende with him biting himself hard enough to draw blood if i would have let it continue. I am honestly worried about this behavior. I have seen teens do it but not the really young ones like him. Needless to say a rough day... Tue, 23 Mar 2010 13:26:58 EST advice/opinions concerning childrearing Okay, I have considered myself to be Wiccan since high school, roughly around age 14 (about 12 years ago). Fri, 19 Feb 2010 13:04:49 EST Question about Jade I recently bought my husband a jade bracelet. It was light green with white. Tomorrow morning at 9:00AM Central Time, my Dad is going to take our beloved kitty Twitch to the vet to be put to sleep. I know she has lived a long life and is sick, and that this is to prevent her from suffering further, but it's still sad. Even the spiritual things I believe in don't bring me much comfort.

Can anyone relate, or give me some advice to help me cope? Thank you for reading this. However, I have always maintained the core beliefs. When I first found Wicca, I introduced my mother to it and in turn she introduced my sister. I cannot say whether they continue to study it or not. I know they don't observe the Esbats or Sabbats. Yet they call themselves Wiccans.

Here's my problem, I have always strived to think about others and how... I don't have my alarm set to radio or a CD, it just pops in for no apparent reason. At least that is what I thought.

Recently I started wondering if I was supposed to be getting a message about my day from these songs and started to explore the idea - I was somewhat successful and I could sometimes get the song to go away.

In the last week I started trying to find within the songs... Sun, 11 Oct 2009 17:49:45 EST Shamanisom and a look at Wight loss Shamanism looks at our bodies and our spirits as a partnership in balance. Even though one is physical and the other is spiritual, it is important to realize that if one part is out of balance it affects the other. But lately ive been wondering if Shamans of late have been ignoring physical problems and there effect on the spirit not the other way around. Ive spent many years focusing on spirit... Sat, 10 Oct 2009 16:07:03 EST Introduction Hi, I'm Rain :) I have to confess to NOT being pagan, but my son is. With Celtic heritage maybe it sort of shows up in a certain wistfullness along those directions that he, at least follows... so when I saw this team I joined, more to be able to understand him and his interests then anything, so I hope it is okay that I am here. He is studying Shamanism as well. I have gone by different "Rain" names for years, Rainshadow, Rainfaerie, Morning Rain, etc... which seems suitable for here! I ha...
