I am grateful I have paid time off to use, whether it be sick or vacation time, but there's just something particularly depressing about typing in vacation time for a... Since I was 12 I have fluctuated back and forth between 180 and 250. I have managed to stay below 220 for a few years now, (excluding during my pregnancy). Sat, 30 Jul 2011 23:00:34 EST Hi everyone! Hi Ladies! I'm Danielle. I'm 33 and I have a two and a half year old son. I work as a research scientist during the day. I'm 27 and have a wonderful daughter who will be 2 in August. I've been married for almost 3 years to my best friend. I originally used Sparkpeople to lose over 50 pounds in preparation for my wedding. Three months after we got married, I found out I was pregnant. I had a really hard time transitioning from the weight loss life to the growing a person life. I ended up gaining 60 pounds. Now here I am two years later, and I'm over halfway there but still have a ways to go. ... Fri, 15 Jul 2011 10:44:43 EST Are we trying to be supermoms? Hi Ladies!!

Do you ever feel like your spread so thin you're see through? I have a 7 year old (yikes) and a 2 year old and work full time. Although my DH does a lot around the house it still seems to always be messy and laundry unfinished. With practices to drive to, dinner to cook, baths, homework.....oh and exercising ;) I feel ragged most of the time and to be honest pretty guilty that I can't keep up with it all! I figure it will get easier as my youngest gets a bit older..... Tue, 12 Jul 2011 11:21:01 EST Hi, I'm Angel. :) I'm new on here. I need to lose about 40 pounds. I would love any kind of motivation you guys can offer. I know that I'll need a lot of help. I have a job, a son, a husband, and I'm going to school in about a month. I've been trying to lose weight for a really long time, seems like my whole life. Hopefully this site will help me get the job done. :) Wed, 6 Jul 2011 22:01:03 EST Hiya Hi, my name is Jennifer. I'm 33 years old, been married for almost twelve years, and have two daughters, ages 3 and 6 months. I'm a paralegal at the DA's office and help out my handicapped mother. I'm a mom to two girls, a 2 year old and a 2.5 month old.

I'm going back to work after a 12 week maternity leave, and I'm trying to loose the baby weight, plus a bit more that I had gained right before the pregnancy. I had to buy a few items of clothing so I had something to wear when I start work next week, but I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe (at least not one in a bigger size!)

Finding time to exercise will be my biggest issue, and also my biggest excuse... Sat, 4 Jun 2011 22:06:08 EST Anybody else have a "fudge" meal (just 1) built in Hubby and I have decided to start the weight loss journey together after 7 years of wedded bliss and about 10 times that many more diets started, stopped and just quit trying all together. We talked about it last night and decided we would have 1 meal (Friday night) a week when we would eat whatever we wanted (within reason) so we wouldn't be tempted to fall "off the wagon" the rest of the week. Anybody else do this? Do you find it works or does it start a binge fall down?

Thank... Thu, 12 May 2011 13:56:41 EST Keep your sick kids home please. This is a vent. Sorry. On Friday my son's teacher warned us that one of the students in my son's class had a 103 degree fever that shot up later in the day. I'm a working mom so I understand how harsh jobs can be when you have to call in to take care of sick kids. But at the same time I would never send my kids to school with a fever or a cough that has lasted more than 2 days without a doctors visit. Why? Because my son was born with very weak lungs and I know when he gets sick he's on oxyge... Sun, 17 Apr 2011 22:34:28 EST Working Moms - Tips for fitting in exercise time? Hey everyone, as a busy working mom with two young children I'm struggling to find the time to exercise. I'm just so exhausted at the end of the day the LAST thing I want to do is work out. I'm thinking I need to do it early in the morning before the kids wake up (like, at 5 am) but thinking of cutting my sleep any more horrifies me.

When do you guys exercise? What type of work outs do you do? And for long? Thu, 14 Apr 2011 20:23:35 EST Hi! I am Jennifer, 33 (almost 34!), mom to 2 girls, Elisabeth, 10 and Nora, 2. Well, I reconnected with the site this week after actually being inspired by th Self Drop 10 challenge, but not loving their website set-up. I am the most excited about this group because this seems to be my biggest challenge. I have 2 tinys (3 yrs and 8 months) and I am a middle school teacher. I spend my day in chaos. I feel like I am constantly running and trying to catch up, realizing I forgot to make copies, buy the birthday present, get supplies for the art project, etc. I am always one step ahead (and often behind) where I need to be and I am in a constant state of panic. I don't want to be like... Fri, 25 Mar 2011 11:13:47 EST The dinnertime CRUNCH! Hello,
I just joined this team because, like so many of you, I work full-time, have three children and am a part-time grad student. If any group of people know how to juggle, it's moms. My biggest barrier to reaching my goal weight is the time period between 5:30 p.m. and the kids' bedtime. I walk in the door and immediately start cooking while my daughters go play, watch TV, etc. When my husband gets home after picking up our two-year old son, all you-know-what breaks loose. H... Every few months, it seems, I have to help my 2 younger daughters to clean their room. They constantly clean ata it, but within a few days of it being acceptable, it is a disaster area again. They do have to share a small room, so I understand that makes it a bit harder. This morning I will be spending some time with them to weed through their clothes and stuff to see what can go (again). How often do you find yourself having to weed through your child's belongings? I have ADD so it real... Sun, 13 Feb 2011 10:54:38 EST Hello from IA Hi everyone. To give a little info on me. I'm a single mother to a beautiful little girl, 4 yrs old, and full time nurse. I love both of my jobs and I love working out. But trying to find the time between working, cooking, cleaning, dance, gymnastics, and swimming is a challenge. I hope to meet some great people thru this site and maybe some advise on how to fit everything in. Wed, 9 Feb 2011 00:45:24 EST Hello to All... As working moms, we are all so limited on time. Luckily my husband, who also works full time, is great at splitting some of the responsibilities with me, but ... Wed, 10 Feb 2010 16:14:37 EST Hey everyone! Hey everyone! I'm new to the group.. just trying to find some people I can relate to. I work 2 jobs, go to school full time, and have a 17 month old beautiful little boy. In the midst of all this, I am trying to lose weight and it isn't easy. I'm just trying to take it one bite at a time. (Or one LESS bite at a time!)

Looking forward to talking to you guys soon! Tue, 9 Feb 2010 10:54:16 EST Not really new but I'll do an intro anyway Hello Everyone-
I joined SP almost 3 years ago but didn't go far, really need it bad now after GAINING 20 pounds the last 3 years.

I'm a working mom with 2 kids ages 9 and 4. We are also foster parents and periodically have other kids with us. I'm blessed to have a job that supports family first but it is always a challenge to find time in the day for everything that needs done let alone taking care of myself.

I'm looking for a smaller group to connect with on SP ... Thu, 4 Feb 2010 06:06:36 EST Exercise before work Does anyone exercise before work and how do you do it? I guess I'm just not a morning person- it takes me a good half an hour and a big cup of coffee to wake up. I feel like I have a good hour before I have to get ready that I am out of bed and could use for excercise but I just can't get moving. Thu, 4 Feb 2010 05:59:21 EST Balance Hello all! My name is Maisha and I am a new member of this team. I've been married 12 and a half years and have 5 children: a 20 yr old stepdaughter, and four younger children ages 11, 10, 6, and 4.

I work full-time and I'm also going to school (online to cut down on my time outside the home). My commute is close to 2 hrs so I barely have any time to see my children or husband, let alone workout. I'm up at 5am and out the door by 5:45, then I'm back home between 7-7:30 (depending o... Tue, 2 Feb 2010 22:03:03 EST New member from Los Angeles Hi all - I'm new to SparkPeople - just joined on Saturday. I am married and have a beautiful daughter (13 months old). I also work full time. I'm currently almost 20 pounds heavier than I was the day before I delivered my daughter. I actually dropped almost all the pregnancy weight within 3 weeks of delivery but the challenges of caring for my daughter, keeping the house from looking like a total pigsty, and getting to work on time and doing my job has made it near impossible to prepare h... Tue, 19 Jan 2010 00:33:40 EST How do you make it all work? Hi all - I'm a newbie here. I have a 13-month old, a husband, and a full time job. I can't seem to get it together to work out on a regular basis, cook healthy meals, get enough sleep, etc. How do you make it work? Just the idea of planning meals for the week is overwhelming at this point!

Thanks! Tue, 19 Jan 2010 00:29:24 EST Looking for fast and easy lunch ideas for work Hi everyone! I'm wondering what you gals bring to work for your lunch? I find it really hard to find stuff that is nutritious, healthy AND fast! I thought I was being really good by having Lean Cuisine's and Knorr soups but I realized today that the sodium levels are HORRIBLE, particularly on the soups. I find salads take too long to prepare so I'll buy all the fixings but end up throwing most of it out cuz I ran out of time to make it. Plus I get tired of salads pretty fast. Tue, 5 Jan 2010 19:03:09 EST Commuter Mother Hi, I'm Cindi and I am new to this team, but not to Spark. I'm a working mother with 2 teen aged boys. I currently commute 3 hours to work. I leave on Sunday night or Monday morning. I stay with a friend who lives an hour from my job during the week. I work four days a week. My days are 10-13+ hours and I don't have to work weekends. I am loving having my weekends off with my kids. I was a pastor for 17 years. As a pastor I had no real time off or away from work. And weekends were the worst! ... Sat, 21 Nov 2009 17:46:56 EST Need to Vent with My Working Mom Friends! So I saw a post on my Facebook tonight that got me a little irritated. But since they're my friends, I didn't want to start something, so thought I'd come vent with some other working moms! So it was basically a post with a lot of responses about how some SAHM's wish they "got off at 5:00, got a lunch hour, got sick days off".....

Ok, well here I go (and by the way, yes, I do have respect for SAHM's and many friensd who are, but)...sure I get off 5:00ish or later, drive an hour h... Mon, 9 Nov 2009 22:08:35 EST Re-joining the team...I think ;) So, I think I was on this team, but I either left because I was not working or because I wasn't posting. Anywho, I'm back on the team and am looking forward to the support from other working moms. I have 3 daughters and their ages are 7, 8, and 11. My oldest is very book-smart and loves math, my middlest is athletic and my youngest is very theatrical. My husband and I have been married for 10 years, and I still think he's a complete beginner at different areas of parenting, but he always ... Sat, 7 Nov 2009 17:33:03 EST Let's try to get SparkPeople on Oprah! One of the other Sparkers on “I preordered the Spark” Team had a WONDERFUL idea!!! Oprah has a link on her website that asks for suggestions for upcoming shows. She suggested we write in and suggest making SparkPeople and Chris Downie a show topic. I submitted my suggestion tonight and even mentioned the new book coming out the end of December. If we flood Oprah hopefully we can get Chris and SparkPeople on Oprah. Thu, 1 Oct 2009 20:33:18 EST NEWBIE FROM WISCONSIN HERE! Hi! My name is Cheryl and I live in Wisconsin! I work at a law firm and am 49 years old! I'm not sure what else to say, other than I lead 3 Teams here on Sparks and I love it!

The best way to introduce myself would be to have you read my WHOLE intro on my profile page -- it's tells you what being a Mom has done to me and almost has done to my son these past years! BUT -- we're both back on track and going for that positive lifestyle and we're doing it!! Thu, 1 Oct 2009 20:27:13 EST anyone excercise over your lunch hour? I posted this in the general fitness section also, but I'm wondering if anyone else here excercises over their lunch break?
I am SO busy with a full time job, hubby, 2 kids and a business that it would be SO much easier if I could go for my run over my lunch break 2-3 times a week. However, I often am very sweaty after my run (helps that it's a lot cooler outside now). I'm afraid even if I completely change my clothes and bring deoderant, that I still will reak for the rest of the day.... Tue, 29 Sep 2009 13:20:58 EST HELLO My name is Jennifer. I am a mother of three girls ages 12, 10, & 5 and have finally found my soul mate and he and I plan to marry in the not so near future. I have gained 50 pounds in the last 1-2 years due to many lifestyle changes while "finding myself". Summer went too fast, but I am hoping that being back on a schedule will help me with my weight loss! By the way, doesn't being a Mom make you a "Working Mom"? Have a good day! Thu, 6 Aug 2009 08:34:34 EST Been on SP since April Hi everyone,

My name is Kim and I am a working Mom who also goes to school part time. It's a crazy life and working out has always been a challenge as far as having the time! My company recently moved to a new building with a brand new gym in and I immediately joined! Makes things somewhat easier, now the trick to get my son dropped off and get there with enough time to workout before I need to be at my desk!

I look forward to being a part of this team! Mon, 3 Aug 2009 21:37:10 EST Counting Calories. Found a Problem. Ok, so here I am. Back. 40 I've been diligently counting calories, trying to watch what I eat, but not completely changing what I eat- as of yet- I wanted to see where my issues/problems were...and now I know, in a big way. my eating is like a pyramid, start off small (200-300 cals, a decent lunch (400-500 cals) and builds throughout the evening (1,000 calories or more!) is a eating and drinking fest. So I'm trying to make my breakfast a bit more heartier, and work on lowering thos... Wed, 17 Jun 2009 14:20:42 EST Newbie but Oldie It has been two years since I've logged into this site. I'm back where I started (never got to where I wanted to go..), and am looking to removitvate myself. I didn't take advantage of the FULL sparkpeople expierence, so busy doing this for excercise, that for food, this for support, that for whatever. I am trying to stick to ONE thing, and see it through. I think that "before" picture illustrates me in so many aspects. Scattered, little too much going on, never concentrating on one thing. I'... Tue, 16 Jun 2009 17:18:03 EST Overcoming a Plateau? As I suspected, I have hit my first plateau. Perhaps a small one, but still a plateau. I've been losing the first few pounds fairly steadily, but have hit a bump in the road. I can't seem to get over the 10 pound mark. I anticipated this would happen. I've searched the website and have found some useful tips that I plan on implementing. But I think it is insightful to get real world experiences, especially since different things work for different people.

So, share with us on how Y... Tue, 26 May 2009 18:17:50 EST Leaving team Well, I enjoyed my stay on this team, but my family didn't adapt well to my working full time. I turned in my resignation today at work. I send my daughter (9 months) to day care from around 7:30 am until around 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday. When I get home I want to spend time with her, make dinner, do what ever cleaning up needs to be done..etc...when do I exercise? My husband is supportive, but he works full-time as well and also has stuff to do after work. I cherish every minute of sleep I can get, so committing to early morning work-outs is unlikely. Suggestions on getting in exercise? Sat, 16 May 2009 23:32:44 EST New Hello, I'm new to SP. I have two boys eight and three and work as a special ed. teacher. I have slowly been gaining weight and if I buy bigger clothes I will have to go into the plus sizes. Tonight, I am meal planning. I am excited about the ready made meal plans, but then got frustrated because a lot of the suggestions don't fit into my life. It is already midnight, I haven't done my work for tomorrow yet and now I am supposed to make muffins for the morning? Then work, work out, go to... First I read a book called My Mom worked and I turned out Okay. It was a series of essays on different aspects of growing up with a mom who also has a professional life. No one says it's easy, but honestly would you want your life any other way? I for one am glad that I work every day for mental stimulation, social aspects, and the financial side cannot be denied.

I am listening to a book on tape now called The 10-Year Sleep... My life is like a big juggling act and every once in a while I get too many balls in the air and drop them all. I haven't been good about posting a challenge for April except to try out the new announcements area of the page. I hope everyone is trying to start healthy habits. One way to track this habit is to start a spark streak. Why don't you try it and see if it helps to motivate you? Sat, 11 Apr 2009 10:26:19 EST New to team Hello everyone. My name is Sonia. I am new to this team. I have lost weight with sparkpeople before and felt great but slacked off and gained it back. It was a little easier before when I was a stay at home mom. Things are harder now working full time and being a single mom. I thought maybe joining this group I could get a little more support and encouragement from moms who know what it's like trying to balance it all!!! Thanks!! Sun, 29 Mar 2009 01:26:17 EST Newbie from NH Hello Everyone! I'm Krista from northern NH. I'm not new to SP, but I am resparking. This time last year I was laid off and had the envious opportunity to work out all the time, which I did. Then reality set in and I had to go back to work. In July I went back to work as an HR Manager at a resort. It's a great job with one problem... I have access to food all day long and if it's there, I'll eat it. So, with less time to exercise and easy access to food (restaurant food) I've gained a fe... Thu, 19 Mar 2009 08:27:23 EST What do you think of Spark changes? I don't like the look of activity feeds on my personal page. I'll just have to adjust! I deleted all the activities from my page for the time being! Am I the only one that doesn't want to evolve? Tue, 17 Mar 2009 19:05:15 EST new to the team! Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I work full time, married and have a 2 two year old. I'm off on Tuesdays, and since it will be St. Patrick's Day, I'm trying to make the whole meal (or as much of it as possible) GREEN! Does anyone have any good ideas? I can do veggies no problem, and if possible, there are these parmesan noodles the kids love that are white & green (made by Knorr/Lipton). Where do you shop for you business attire?

I've bought suits at Filene's. I'll look for sales at Macy's or Bloomingdales. Pants and dress tops I can usually find at Kohl's or The Limited. Shoes are tough for me though. Anyone know any good places to buy shoes? Tue, 10 Mar 2009 15:13:54 EST Feeling Good! Between all the crazy things I and my children are involved in I managed to meet one of my goals and that was to get at 170 pounds by March and I have done it. Man, this has really boosted my self-confidence. The whole family is eating better. Sun, 8 Mar 2009 07:29:22 EST Who misses their child today? Tue, 3 Mar 2009 15:44:58 EST March challeng e--zzzzz Let's try to get our sleep! A lot of us working moms are running ourselves ragged. It is so easy to veg at the end of the day watching television. I love those late-night shows as much as anyone and with the changes with Conan O'Brien and U2 on Dave Letterman, it will be very tempting to stay up late getting into these. But for Lent, I have made a pledge to myself to get to bed earlier EVERY night. I challenge the rest of you working mothers to make a point of getting adequate rest. It ... Sun, 1 Mar 2009 20:07:45 EST Newbie HEllo ladies. Like everyone here I'ma working mother. I have two daughters ages 4 & 16. The large age difference can be both a blessing and bothersome. I'm trying to become healtier overall. I need to loose weight but ultimaltey, I want to become healthier. I have a history of cancer and heart disease in my family and I want to be here for my kids Fri, 20 Feb 2009 23:16:53 EST Not motivated to get to the gym--help! I am the sole provider for DD at night (I work days while she is in daycare, DH works nights M, Tu, Wed, Fri). We get home from work/daycare between 6:00 and 6:30. If we go straight to the gym and I work out an hour, then we are not home until almost 7:30. Then I need to cook dinner (DH suggests going out for dinner but that makes me feel like I'd be putting back on whatever I just burned!), and even if it's fast, we're not eating until 8pm. And then there's the normal around-the-house chores... Mon, 16 Feb 2009 17:34:26 EST Let's Chat! Mon, 16 Feb 2009 09:57:51 EST February Challenge (act instead of think) We all spend a great deal of our mental energy imagining ourselves working out. Mon, 2 Feb 2009 16:59:59 EST Getting Back In The Saddle.. ...Again So I've had a crazy, stressfull couple months. Found out in December that DD is at risk of having high functioning autism. Been having appointments left and right with doctors, school, and resource people, educating myself as much as possible. Finally have much of the 'starting out' hassle done. Still have some appointments I'm waiting on, but starting to slow down and de-stress a little.

Needless to say, the "healthy lifestyle" thing went out the window. Ready to creep back... I'm 32, married for 14 years and have three great kids (13,12, and 8). I just started my first full time job a month ago. I'm still adjusting and trying to work out routines. I know I'll have alot of questions for you guys. My first one is this:

What kind of snacks to you guys keep at work to keep you on track? I work at an office, and we have a fridge and microwave. I get an hour for lunch, but I want to exercise during that hour, so I'll be eating at my desk d... Thu, 25 Dec 2008 22:45:31 EST Back in the Saddle After a couple blah weeks, I'm ready to hop back on that horse again---re-grouped, re-committed, and re-motivated. I know it's kind of the end of the week, but I'm on another team that starts challenges on Thursdays, so it's my "start".

Babysteps grasshoppa......babysteps.

Week 1:

Get 10 glasses of water each day.....and TRACK it! I know I am going about this all wrong, but I don't know how to change!

I can not seem to cut down on calories each day. I purposely don't bring much food to work with me each day, so I'm hardly eating, and then when I get home I'm eating everything in sight! I end up over my calorie limit for the day and am still hungry because I am choosing all the wrong foods. I just don't know how to change my habits.

I struggled with exercise, but when I figured out that if I com... Thu, 18 Dec 2008 09:14:57 EST New to Team Hi everyone! My name is Rosemary, mom of an almost 7 yr. old boy and 4 yr. old daughter. Up until this week I was a stay at home mom for the last 7 yrs. I did some part time work
(for my husbands previous company) from home and have been looking for work for close to a year. Amazing how a 7 yr. employment gap stands in your way of finding a job! I was very fortunate to find a long term temporary position and started this week. It is definately going to be an adjustment for the whol... Fri, 12 Dec 2008 23:52:23 EST When It Rains, It Pours WARNING: Just a rant.

So the economy went in the toilet......and my husband works in auto sales. Fri, 12 Dec 2008 18:29:29 EST New team challenge (it's easy) Another member mentioned that she didn't have any pictures of herself that she liked. Isn't this true about a lot of us? I know I like to be the one snapping the pic--not posing! So this holiday season, let's play with our cameras and take some pictures of ourselves to get one that is nice to put on our spark page or to use as an avatar! When you do this, please click the challenge further down on the WorkingMoms page. I'd like to see at least 15 of us make this challenge! Fri, 12 Dec 2008 12:13:03 EST Is anyone tracking water? I'm just as guilty as anyone else about getting off my program, but I'm struggling to get back on track. My first step is to drink more water. I started a challenge here so more people can rev up their own water drinking.

Is anyone else trying to get it together regarding the drinking of water? I'm curious even if you don't want to do the challenge. If you aren't drinking a lot of water, what keeps you from doing so?

I have a hard time getting in 8 servings because... Tue, 9 Dec 2008 15:59:28 EST Got a crock pot So, I've marveled at the idea of a crock pot for quite awhile now--just throw everything in, come home, & dinner's done--fabulous!

But I've never got around to buying one, for fear of using it once or twice, then "losing" it in the cupboard of forgotten appliances.

Well, I inheritted one from my MIL, so we'll see if it's worth it or not. Anyone have any good recipes or websites for crockpot cooking? Sat, 6 Dec 2008 23:27:24 EST Calling all Working Moms! I'm Nadine and I want to charge up this team! Sat, 6 Dec 2008 11:16:00 EST Hi from MI Hi all, I'm new to sparkpeople and am a working mom of a 2 yr old girl. I've recently moved to the UP and am very nervous of the winter months to come. I'm in a "professional" role at work, so I spend too much time there. I have lofty goals and hate being fat and not having energy to cook a healthy meal much less excercise. I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you and hoping to inspire as well as be inpired.
--Moni Sat, 22 Nov 2008 15:42:05 EST Work Who else has to work the day after Thanksgiving? Fri, 21 Nov 2008 08:43:01 EST Body for Life/Eating for Life...anybody out there? I'm gearing up to start. I've been spoiled to start new things while being a stay-at-home-mom. Work is great for routine, it's getting started! I lost weight last year low-carbing at work, but quit. I want to do something different this time. I've started Body for Life before, but wasn't ready for permanent lifestyle changes. I was amazed at the energy, and the efectiveness of the workouts. I'm going to try this. I'd love some support. God Bless. Sun, 9 Nov 2008 20:56:28 EST New from Ohio! Hi all -- I've been a member of SP for almost 2 years (hard to believe). Had some success then took some time off to have a baby (my first) at almost 40. Crazy!
Back to work now and need to get back to the business of taking care of myself as well as the little one. Sun, 9 Nov 2008 20:17:12 EST Where are your kids when you are at work? I have small children yet, so they are with a babysitter. We are having a tough time right now though b/c they are at an in-home place that they have been both going to since birth. The babysitter used to be very active with them and such, but now has pretty much confined them to a small room in her house and rarely lets them outside even when nice out. She lives 6 blocks from a park and they have never been there. Plus, she tends to play favorites and right now my kids are not the favori... Mon, 3 Nov 2008 16:40:27 EST Hi! New to team! She is now six months old and I am still carrying around the same 10 baby pounds I promised myself I would get rid of 5 months ago! The other weight came off so fast I thought the last ten would at least budge! But it is starting to become clear that if I want to lose it I'm going to have to work at it. I thought I might as well lose another 15-20 pounds in the process! I don't know how people do this though. Between work, household ... Mon, 19 May 2008 13:31:38 EST Hi I'm new here Hi! My name is Cris. I was an avid spark user from November 2006-May 2007 then fell off the wagon. I lost 25 lbs using spark, then once I stopped I gained it all back. 39 I am starting from square one AGAIN, and how depressing is that?! I am a full time working mother of 2 toddlers and it seems my life is just go-go-go! So it'd be nice to chat with moms who can relate and support each other! Good luck to everyone! Mon, 19 May 2008 10:34:13 EST not enough time in the day! Hi - I'm Alli, I recently had my second dd (6 months) and started a full time job -- I am looking for some motivation and ideas for how to fit exercise and eating healthy back in the life! Wed, 14 May 2008 16:26:37 EST Help? Ideas? My husband and I work opposite shifts, so when I get home at 6pm, he's gone. I need to make dinner for DD and I, I need to take care of household stuff (the laundry, dishwasher, etc.), I need to bathe DD and spend some time with her... I can NOT figure out how to do it all! I like her to eat dinner around 7 or 7:30 (she goes to bed between 9 and 9:30). I don't want to give her junk (we've been in a Mac & Cheese or Chicken Nuggets spell, and that's my fault, because they're quick).

... Mon, 12 May 2008 19:24:00 EST Hi I'm new here Hi there. I'm Anne, and I'm a 28-year-old from California. I have one DD who is 3.5. I'm looking for a SparkTeam or two to join because I need support and help/suggestions. I don't need to lost much weight, but I need ideas for diet and exercise. Especially exercise.

Mon, 12 May 2008 19:21:35 EST Any plans for Mother's Day? Are ya'll dropping hints or asking for anything special? I'm torn because what I really want is to go out for brunch but I know that will blow my diet!! We already got a gift for my mom and I'll bring DS over to see her for a little bit but we're not doing anything big with her since they have a grandparents lunch at his school on the 16th. Maybe I should ask for a least its not food LOL! Thu, 8 May 2008 11:41:33 EST New to the group, Hiya! Im a mommy to a 3 year old boy and working at a coffee shop. I've been on SparkPeople for a while, but just now starting to get more active community wise-- figured I would join this group :). Thanks for having me! Tue, 6 May 2008 20:50:45 EST 8-5 and then...! Hello everyone. I'm a full-time mom of a sweet little five year old boy along with being a full-time Office Coordinator in southern Alabama. It seems like there are usually not enough hours in the day to get everything done for everyone else, much less take care of ourselves, but I'm determined to fit in the workouts and time at the grocery store. My son is undergoing diagnosis but is on the autistic spectrum, so after the 8-5, it's all about my sunshine until (and usually after) he's tuck... Tue, 29 Apr 2008 18:44:59 EST Weekend Help/Advice How do you guys get through the weekends? I have been struggling with the weekends lately. I usually have errands to run & I recently put DS in basketball, so now I'm out early Saturday mornings and gone most of the day. I try to remember to pack food, but usually forget.
After basketball, I hear the McDonald's cry from the backseat and we're off. Lately it's been Friendly's, if he's well-behaved. Then it's downhill, for me, from there.
I do so well while I'm at work & then BAM we... The weekend or weekdays?
I find the weekends are the hardest for me. I am off on the weekend and I must walk in and out of the kitchen 20 times per day. I will open and stare at the refrigerator about 20 times per day. It's kind of funny if you could see me. I am looking for something to satisfy me but if it's not salty and crunchy, then nothing will work. Oh, lets not forget the Coca-Cola, oh the bubbles with the quick sugar rush. But I am happy to say I did good today. Jus... My husband travels a lot for work - thank god for grandparents, and for an understanding boss.

Anyway, I've used all of the above as an excuse to not deal with my unhealthy living, and I'm done.
