We did the 5K. And wow is trail running so different than running on the pavement. I liked it more in some ways, and less in others....just a different experience. It was the first trail run I have ever done. I've hiked, sure, but running over rocks and sticks and through mud and streams, I don't think I've done that since was fun. Took us just under 2 hrs to do the complete 5.4 miles. All uphill and downhill. The jogging stroller holding a toddler and preschooler, probably about an extra 70 lbs combined weight, made it more challenging. I decided I'd rather push that extra 70 lbs up hill than attempt to hold it back going downhill and I don't want my babies speeding off the edge, no gaurd rails....made me kinda nervou...
