SparkPeople NFP Delphi Addicts Team Messageboard Dedicated to the NFP ladies from Delphi, but all are welcome! SparkPeople NFP Delphi Addicts Team Messageboard Where is everyone? So is everyone at goal weight except me? Congratulations to everyone who is!

I could use some support while I work on my goal - can we get this team active again? Sun, 5 Feb 2012 00:08:07 EST Measuring waist? SparkPeople says to measure 1" above my belly button. My belly button has sort of relocated since having kids and getting stretched out. I'd say it's further south than it used to be. Also, my "waist" is not the fullest part of my abdomen. I'm not sure I'm going to see my "waist" measurement change much since the extra fat is below my belly button. If I keep measuring my true waist, am I going to see that number go down as my weight changes and (hopefully) my belly shrinks, too? Wed, 8 Dec 2010 07:44:55 EST Any updates? I just got into the 180s - woohoo! Any other victories to report? Sun, 22 Jun 2008 21:54:58 EST Team Goals Hey, there's a team goal section in each team, now!

Is there a goal that would work for all of us? Sun, 27 Apr 2008 22:31:41 EST Just one or two things.. So did everyone leave because I joined the team? LOL.

Come back!

I know we get busy and all, and I've been horrible about food and fitness since Easter, but I'm going to do just one or two things today to be healthier than yesterday.

I've decided to drink my full 64 oz of water, and am building up to that this week. Yesterday was 4 glasses, today is 5.

I'm also going to exercise, something I haven't done since Friday.

Sort of a third th... Wed, 2 Apr 2008 09:47:11 EST Reporting In! Hey, everyone!

I've been sitting at 159 and a HALF for the past two to three weeks and finally did some math. If it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound, then a difference between my calorie needs and extra exercise of 200 calories/week is NOT going to get me very far! On the good side, I won't gain any weight this way...

Then yesterday I did the Easter thing. I had candy, big dinner, and cake. YUM! It was a lot of food for me, lately, but probably about half the cal... Mon, 24 Mar 2008 11:19:57 EST Easter Season Challenge! I want everyone to think of ONE new healthy habit they can acquire and post it here by Divine Mercy Sunday (March 30th). Mon, 24 Mar 2008 10:47:46 EST I found you! Hey, everyone, RoseWest here.

I joined Spark through MyPoints last summer and I knew a bunch of you were here, but only just thought to do a search for NFP.

Glad to see you all. Mon, 10 Mar 2008 21:29:44 EST Everyone still here? No posts for a few days ... how is everyone doing? Is Mardi Gras going to throw things off tomorrow? Mon, 4 Feb 2008 20:57:35 EST Successes! Let's post our successes here.

Today, I had 3 big successes - I stayed within my calorie range, drank MORE than 8 glasses of water, and I kept my carbs (a real weakness) in my target range.

What were your successes today? Fri, 25 Jan 2008 22:53:29 EST It's unfortunate that.. I was in a hurry when I joined and needed to fill out goals. I chose one of my goals as "tell one person about your goals". My kids are looking at me funny when I catch the attention of one of them each day to say," My goals are..." But what really sucks is that my husband chose Reward Myself as one of his daily goals. It is the only goal he is really aiming for right now!!! Fri, 25 Jan 2008 21:35:56 EST Talk me down! I am getting really frustrated here. I am feeling like I need some kind of extreme diet. I gained several lbs back that I had lost before starting SparkPeople. I am just feeling that "I am not losing weight fast enough" itch. I am frustrated. I need to get a grip. I hate how budgets have to effect diets. I need life long changes NOT a diet! I just need to keep drinking my water, counting my calories and exercising and NOT obsess over the scale :( Help me! Fri, 25 Jan 2008 18:59:43 EST How can we overcome our challenges? I put this in the other thread, but then thought maybe it deserved its own.

Of the challenges you listed, what can you do to help overcome them? Tue, 22 Jan 2008 15:30:39 EST So do the points motivate you? They do me! I have actually done exercises just to get points. I really find it motivating to get my *gold stars* for working on eating well, drinking my water etc. I really think getting more points for reading a brief article than for 5 min of cardio doesn't make much sense to me though. I think it would be more motivating if you got more points for exercising. Tue, 22 Jan 2008 10:43:58 EST What are your biggest challenges? What obstacles to weight loss do you regularly face?

Mine are:
1) Having to cook for the family
2) Late-night binging
3) Hating exercise Mon, 21 Jan 2008 14:20:40 EST Valentines day check in How's it going? What have you done to meet your goal?

I have walked a total of 79mins over the weekend. So my goal is on track :o) Sun, 20 Jan 2008 23:47:46 EST Hello and thank you! Hello All,
I have been a long time follower of the NFP board but I don't post because of my family commitments, a.k.a. ten kids, homeschooling, and also my very slow dial up internet connection.
I just found sparkpeople this week and I think it must be Divine intervention to also be able to join it back to the board.
I am looking foward to getting to know everyone and I am hoping to lose 20 or so pounds.
Good luck to everyone.
Patty Sat, 19 Jan 2008 12:59:31 EST Hey y'all Hey, it's Angela. This place looks like a lot of fun. I joined a while back and never came back. Maybe I can make some positive use of it this time. :~) Sat, 19 Jan 2008 10:37:13 EST Marcella here I think I recognize most all the usernames. Thanks for the great idea, Nina! Sat, 19 Jan 2008 09:48:43 EST I'm new, and here too! My name is Courtney and I am so happy to finally be doing something about my weight. My sister and I are beginining water aerobics and I am really starting to pay attention to what goes in my mouth!

Background: I am a single (widowed) mother to 5 year old L. I teach moderate-severe/profound special education. I swim and hike, read and play the piano. Live in Indiana.

I look forward to some accountability and support! Sat, 19 Jan 2008 07:42:32 EST I'm here :o) I already posted a challenge LOL! I started mine today as well!
Seems like a really good site - I'm off to really look around :o) Fri, 18 Jan 2008 17:32:42 EST Name one thing you hate Mine is Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee. If it is only semi-homemade you don't need a tv show for it. I don't want to hear the word tablescape. It's stupid. It is absolutely ludicrous to make a box cake and put it on a table that you spent $50-100 to decorate at least. She is also annoying and her food doesn't even look all that great or well put together. I can't get the image of a cake out of my mind that was decorated with playing cards.

Fri, 18 Jan 2008 16:51:32 EST
