Thu, 27 Aug 2009 13:18:24 EST What bowl game are other Husker fans hoping for? I know it is early in the year, and everyone is hoping for us to go to the national championship game, but if we don't make it there what bowl would you like to see Nebraska go to? I would like to hear from others their loudest memory of the greatest place on earth, Memorial Stadium. Mine was last year after o Henery kicked that field goal I didn't even yell for once because I was happy that it was finally loud. It was an awesome experience I hope we can get even louder this year. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!! Fri, 7 Aug 2009 05:26:00 EST Just a question? Has anyone else been asked to please sit down at a Husker game and quit being so loud? I can't believe people actually do that. I try to be as respectfull as possible since we are the best fans on earth, but I have asked others when they ask me that to stand up and shout especially when we are on defense!!!!!!!!!! Fri, 7 Aug 2009 05:23:28 EST Help a fellow husker out!!!! Hi all great Nebraska fans not long before football season starts up. Wed, 18 Feb 2009 13:55:19 EST A - Z Husker Game This team needs to get a little more lively. So how about a game? We'll do the A - Z game and you need to name a Husker (current or past, player or coach, whose first or last name starts with the letter of the alphabet that we are currently on).

I'll start

A - Trev Alberts

B? Sat, 7 Feb 2009 09:10:03 EST Husker in Arizona What a great team!! I'm still fairly new (less than 2 weeks) on SP, but I've managed to find my way "home" with this team. I was born and raised in central Nebraska and attended college at Doane. I moved to Arizona in 2001 after graduating from college and I've been here ever since. There's a great group of Nebraska fans out here!! There's an organization called Arizonans for Nebraska, which is an awesome organization! They have arranged for certain sports bars to show all the Nebraska ... Tue, 27 Jan 2009 10:07:44 EST Huskers in the Pros... I was doing some research, trying to decide who I liked better for this year's Super Bowl & have learned that Ralph Brown, who played for the Huskers from 96-99 will be part of the Arizona Cardinals Super Bowl team! How awesome!!
I guess I'm going to have to cheer for the Cardinals now since there are no Huskers on the Steelers roster! LOL! Mon, 26 Jan 2009 12:35:16 EST Hi Husker Fans! I just signed up spark and trying to set everything up yet. I was so excited when I stumbled across this HUSKER group!!! I think that will make the motivation easier. 213 Sun, 18 Jan 2009 08:29:57 EST Favorite Huskers With football season over, we need something to talk about. So I thought perhaps we could talk about who our favorite Huskers are.

My all-time favorite is Roger Craig. Such a nice guy and someone who really burst out of his shell when he hit the NFL. Tue, 13 Jan 2009 13:15:37 EST Positive Attitude s-Report Here! Thought we could use a place to post our can-do attitude moments and feel good about ourselves and our teammates.

I'm in a great mood because I just went to the gym and worked out for an hour. An HOUR! It actually felt good, too. Thu, 8 Jan 2009 22:07:46 EST New Year, Same Resolutions? I was just wondering if anyone has made any New Year's Resolutions. I don't have any particular goals pertaining to the new year, just personal goals to get back into my routines and to make exercise a consistently regular part of my life. How about you? Thu, 8 Jan 2009 22:04:10 EST Bowl Game Contest Bowl games start this Saturday. Can you believe it? I thought it would be fun to have a contest and try to pick the winner's for each bowl game. You can always stop back by and let us know how you did. Tue, 25 Nov 2008 23:14:47 EST Colorado Game About two weeks until this one. I predict a win; especially since it's at home. The question is which bowl game will invite us if we're 8-4? Sun, 16 Nov 2008 14:52:22 EST Kansas State Game This could be a "trip up" game. We should win. I don't know why we'd overlook them at this point in the season. However, the Cats could get up for Nebraska as a way to say thanks to outgoing Coach Prince. I still believe we'll win. Wed, 12 Nov 2008 18:04:13 EST Bowl Game Now that we are Bo eligible, any thoughts to which bowl game we might go to? I know that a lot will depend on how we do in the last two games but I have heard the bowl game in Phoenix and ElPaso mentioned. Will anyone go to the bowl game? I've only been to San Antonio to the Alamo bowl. It was a ton of fun. Sun, 9 Nov 2008 15:19:40 EST Kansas Game Any predictions? I believe this one will be close but we'll keep the home winning streak alive against the J-Hawks. Wed, 5 Nov 2008 14:15:21 EST Oklahoma Game Other than Dee-Dee, does anyone think we have a chance tonight? Sat, 1 Nov 2008 07:27:44 EST Married to a Husker Fan 281 Hi there! I am new to the team and I am married to a Husker fan. We live in Virginia Beach, VA. He is a Husker and I am an FSU grad. Makes college football season interesting around our house. My husband is so much of a Husker that we have season tickets to the Husker Football games. Got them in 2006 when they did a lottery for tickets!! Needless to say, living most of my life in Florida - I was not ready for the snow during the Texas game in 2006. I just hope the Colo... Most people who have expressed interest in a November challenge want some sort of fitness challenge. I haven't heard anything specific from anyone, so please let me know what you think!
I was thinking we could run four weekly challenges. Weekly challenges are nice to keep motivation going. For the first week, what would everyone say to getting in 30 minutes of cardio 6 times in the week? Is that too much or two little?
As an overall monthly challenge, what would you think abou... Tue, 28 Oct 2008 22:33:11 EST Sorry about that! I haven't been on much lately, but I'm still w/you all, lol. I started school on Monday, so have been really busy. I'll be back full force once I get a routine down. I've still been getting my fitness minutes, so hopefully everyone else is too:) Wed, 22 Oct 2008 16:36:20 EST Baylor Game How is everyone feeling about Baylor on Saturday? I'm thinking this is a win!! Tue, 21 Oct 2008 13:57:43 EST What are your biggest obstacles? What are your biggest weight-loss obstacles? Mine are alcohol, portion control (which is getting much better), staying committed/getting motivated to exercise, and finding healthy meals that my boyfriend will enjoy, too. Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:45:38 EST Slow-cooker recipes? Anyone have any good crock pot recipes? Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:43:47 EST What exercises do you love? I recently ordered some dancing cardio DVD's. They were super tough, but I'm getting the hang of them an really enjoy them. Turbo Jame Booty Sculpt+Abs was a favorite, but it's starting to get a little boring. Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:42:37 EST What are your favorite game-time snacks? We love everything, but I've been looking for some healthy alternatives. I have a layered bean dip recipe that isn't too high in calories. Homemade guacamole is lovely as well. Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:39:50 EST Let's Talk I noticed Jam2Drew's huddle yesterday asking where everyone was. I did some inventory and, yes, we have been lacking in the discussion area. Personally, I've just been using this team to discuss our Huskers and football-related topics. Let's open it up.
I'm going to start some threads for other topics in hopes of getting everyone talking more. Feel free to add your own ideas. I know people on this team are really supportive on web pages and Spark mail. Let's show that support on in... Fri, 17 Oct 2008 18:38:06 EST Iowa State, are you ready? There's nothing like sleeping in on Saturday, only to have a short wait until the Huskers play. I can't wait! If we show up like we did last week, Iowa State is going down.
Let's go Huskers! 104 Thu, 16 Oct 2008 23:03:12 EST Iowa State Game So what is everyone thinking about the Iowa State game? I guess it depends on which Husker team shows up to play. They always play us tough when we go there. Thu, 16 Oct 2008 13:32:13 EST What a game that was! Man, we were all somewhat prepared for a loss today, that is until the game started. After play like that and such a close game, my heart is broken. I wasn't prepared for that! As disappointing as today was, at least we know we can perform and play with the bigger dogs. Bring on next week- if we play like that, they don't stand a chance! 281 Sat, 11 Oct 2008 23:09:25 EST Texas Tech Game So close What a good game. We almost did it.
Sat, 11 Oct 2008 18:35:14 EST 79 to 10 Hi, I just read that someone thinks we are going down 79 to 10 in Texas. I don't believe it. How about you? Thu, 9 Oct 2008 01:53:21 EST OUR FITNESS CHALLENGE!! Hey guys. I just read this post under their OU minutes thread:

"LET'S GO SOONERS! MOVE YOUR BUTTS!!!

According to my calculations, as of today 10/6 at 2:12 pm central time, they have 2854 total fitness minutes, we only have 2541.

We are not going to go down like that. Walk around your block before and after dinner, only take a 30 or 45 minute lunch, take a walk for the rest (that is what I do, 30 mins for lunch, 30 mins to walk). Whatever it takes, let's bea... Tue, 7 Oct 2008 08:49:13 EST WHAT'S UP WITH THEM? The officiating the last two weeks was horrible! Missouri is a much better team, out played us, so why the help from officials on top of it? There were holds not called on them & every time we did do something, the officials called us for something. Not all of the penalties were legit. Why are the officials becoming so hard & unfair to NU
? The last thing MO needed was help from them. Even the MO fans agreed that there were many bad calls! Anyway, have a nice active day. Lets at least be... Mon, 6 Oct 2008 09:00:56 EST NE - MO Score & Highlights I will be filling in for Dee-Dee again this week who is at the game. If we lose again this week, we know that is the key. Dee-Dee can't go to the games any longer. 246

I will be posting the score and all highlights here throughout the game. Go Huskers! Sat, 4 Oct 2008 20:44:12 EST Missouri Game So how is everyone feeling about the Missouri game tomorrow night? I'm nervous after the Virginia Tech game. No one is really expecting us to win (other than Husker fans) so I suppose that takes the pressure off. Fri, 3 Oct 2008 09:05:22 EST COME ON HUSKERS, LETS GO!!!!!! I averaged what is posted so far & we are 14 minutes behind them. When you think you are tired & can't do more go 5 more, or ten. After supper, help your meal digest, go for a walk, even if for only 15 minutes. It all adds up. And vaccummimg is a very good cardio. Look it up on the tracker:) So get your house super clean, lose pounds, & beat OU!:) A win, win! Have a good night! Thu, 2 Oct 2008 17:29:54 EST Attention Please give our newest member, and my lil' sis, BrittaC a warm welcome to Spark People and to our wonderful team! Tue, 30 Sep 2008 18:09:13 EST Incentive to get more! I dare you! Our challenge starts tomorrow. How much minutes do you usually get in a day? I challenge you to push yourself to get at least 1/2 hour more than that per day! I usually get 120 minutes a day, I'm going to push to get 150 starting tomorrow! Can you match & put up an extra 1/2 hour?:) Tue, 30 Sep 2008 11:00:55 EST Bummer Well, kids, it's a sad day here in Lincoln, and in all of Husker Nation. A number of opportunities to win were missed last night. It's easy for many to blame the loss on that Suh then Pelini penalty, but I think if our offense would have shown up in the first half we wouldn't have been in that situation in the first place. What do you guys think?

I hope everyone who went to the game still had a good time. I'm pretty bummed right now, and pretty worried for the weeks ahead. ... Sun, 28 Sep 2008 14:50:16 EST NE - Virginia Tech Score & Highlights I'll be doing my best to fill in for Dee-Dee this week and will be posting the score and highlights every quarter at least. Go Huskers! Sat, 27 Sep 2008 18:47:30 EST Get Pumped, Husker Nation! How pumped is everyone for tonight?

I went down to the bookstore early this morning to get a new Husker shirt for the game. The fans were already out and about, I even saw some Hokies browsing through the Husker memorabilia. I'm psyched! My cardio today began with dancing around my living room for twenty-five minutes listening to some supercharged music for a supercharged Saturday.

I wish I could go to the game, but it's not in the cards this week. Heading to a fri... Sat, 27 Sep 2008 14:47:22 EST PLEASE READ THIS!!!! ON THE NCAA TEAM, MBRANDO(LEADER FOR OU), HAS A THREAD THAT SAY HUSKERS SOONERS TOGETHER FOR A GOOD CAUSE. IF YA'LL LIKE ANIMALS, PLEASE GO ON THERE & READ IT. WHAT SHE DOES IS GREAT, SHE NEEDS VOTES. HELP HER GET THE GRANT! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! Fri, 26 Sep 2008 16:34:37 EST Who will be able to.... post scores at the end of quarters & a few highlights of NU/ VT game Saturday? There are a lot people that live out east, down south or in the west that won't get to see the game, because a game closer to them will be televised. I did it last week, but I'll be at the game on Saturday, so I can't do it. So who can?:) Mon, 22 Sep 2008 09:40:02 EST How committed are you? I was contacted by the leader of the Oklahoma team. Her team is willing to set up a challenge between the two teams. She said it looks like there are about 5 or 6 willing now. So are there 6 or more willing on our team? How committed to your health & team are you? It would be like a cardio challenge that would go until like the day before the game. Whoever has the most as a team would win. Can our Huskers beat the Sooners?:) Let me know ASAP if you are in! We will get this set up hopefully by... Mon, 22 Sep 2008 09:17:23 EST I can't believe they won Colorado won in OT last night. West Virginia should have, but their coach is an idiot. They were moving & he never used time outs so the clock ran out. Then the place kicker missed a gimmie field goal. Oh well, looks good for big 12. Fri, 19 Sep 2008 09:29:42 EST What do you instincts tell you? I know we all wanna believe NU will win over VT, but do your instincts tell you we will. I don't even have any idea who's favored to win . They lost one already, so probably us. It'll be interesting to see the point spread. I've been watching them & really knowing what was going on w/football for like 35 yrs. & my instincts tell me, we will struggle a lttle but we will win:)Not because my heart wants them to but because I think they will. I think we will probably lose to OU, Mizzou, Texas Tec... Thu, 18 Sep 2008 15:04:10 EST 9/20/08 - What game will you be watching?? So, since there is no Nebraska game this weekend, what are the games everyone will be watching? Thu, 18 Sep 2008 13:09:33 EST So tell us more. Like when's your b-day. What's your favorite color. Kick off is for 7 eastern time. Thought ya'll would like to know! Mon, 15 Sep 2008 13:31:16 EST Now THAT is the team I want to see What a great game last night! We looked strong on both sides of the ball. By the third quarter, I was demanding a shut-out. Okay, so that didn't happen, but our defense was looking tough stopping them on the two yard line. Loved the Halfback pass, loved that flip into the end zone, loved having a tough O-line. Now, let's take this momentum into the bye week and onto Virginia Tech.
GO HUSKERS! Sun, 14 Sep 2008 14:12:40 EST We kicked butt! Yea!!!!! Defense looked a ton better than last year! Sat, 13 Sep 2008 22:59:49 EST Really excited- will post updates & scores here! Everyone have their Husker attire on? I'm amped got the game on ppy & ready to go:) I'll put scores & any highlights here! GO BIG RED!!!!! 104 Sat, 13 Sep 2008 18:07:46 EST Did everyone see? Kansas lost, Iowa State lost. At least we will win. As long as they don't think tonight is a sure thing & concentrate to hard on next week's game. Sat, 13 Sep 2008 17:20:06 EST Vote for the Huskers and Katie There is a spirit/cheerleader contest going on at Athlon sports. In the first round is Katie, a Husker cheerleader. Right now I think she is in 3rd place. Lets help her get the win.

All you need to do is go to this website, create a free account, and vote. You can vote 20 times a day.

l/8054/sideline-spirit
Sat, 13 Sep 2008 16:27:04 EST Game on Direct tv If you have Direct tv the game is on channel 786, it's ppv tho, though I'd let you know Sat, 13 Sep 2008 10:41:27 EST GO BIG RED!!!!!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fri, 12 Sep 2008 13:04:37 EST Can't believe I actually did it! These Iowa fans are corrupting my 6 six year old. Most people around here are Hawkeye & clone fans. Well, my son's teacher is a hawk fan. She told the kids to wear the school colors or hawkeye colors on Fridays to support their team. I wrote her & told her my son would be wearing Husker clothes on Fridays. She laughed & said, "I guess". Anyway, my son has been driving me crazy to get him a Hawkeye shirt. He's always liked the Huskers. It doesn't help that she's pretty & he's a flirt, lol. Anyw... Fri, 12 Sep 2008 12:47:06 EST Husker/opponent challenge I posted threads in Ou's & Virginia Tech's team, yuk, actually had to join to post, then I deleted it,lol. And I started a new NCAA team to try to get some kind of challenge w/our opposing teams. We'll see if I get a response. Their teams haven't had activity in a while. I'm trying. Speaking of the Hokies, I might have tickets to be able to go to that game, I'm so excited:) Thu, 11 Sep 2008 16:12:31 EST Driving Did you hear that they are talking about raising the driving age to 18? I heard that on my radio station this morning. I don't know if it's only Nebraske or nationwide that they are considering this. That's both good & bad. Bad for the parents of mature teens, but good for probaly 90% of teens & others on the road. They do drive crazy & there are more distractions now a days. What do you guys think? Wed, 10 Sep 2008 10:32:19 EST I set some team goals! Jump in & get on some of the goals. It will help yourself as well as your team. You can do one, two, or all. Tue, 9 Sep 2008 10:36:39 EST What do you think? Can we do it? I got a suggestion this morning, & I like the idea. To see if the team we face every week has a spark team. If so, if we could get together somehow for a game-time face off challenge. Any ideas on what it could be or how to go about this? I'm going to see if I can find out today. Any ideas, let me know. Tue, 9 Sep 2008 10:32:42 EST Idea for half time Here's an idea...this weekend (and every weekend) during half-time of the game, get off your butt and do something, rather than sitting around watching a bunch of silly half-time stuff.
Grab your friends, grab the kids, and go outside…toss around the football, a frisbee, play catch. Go for a walk around the block a few times….
Let’s see if we can get EVERYONE here to do this.
Tue, 9 Sep 2008 09:36:19 EST Just took over leadership... now lets get this team rocking! :) Mon, 8 Sep 2008 17:07:52 EST Hello Huskers! Just starting to figure out my way around this site. Found this team & just had to be a member:) LOve the Huskers. I'm from Omaha, but live in western Iowa now. I guess everyone wants to go to the 1st game to see what Bo is going to do for the team. I was thinking of going without tickets and buying them on the street but everyone is thinking those are going to very expensive this year, but...
