Back in 2008, when I first joined, I embraced the SparkPeople way and lost quite a bit of weight. I felt great and was pretty happy with how I looked. I maintained for about a couple of years - and then something happened - life intervened. First, I started having female problems, and lost the energy to exercise or eat correctly. That alone is bad news.

Then I lost both my parents within two months of each other. Mom passed a week after she was diagnosed with colon cancer. ... Mon, 23 Nov 2015 17:29:24 EST Back to Sparking So, we joined almost 6 years ago! Anybody else around?
I haven't been here in almost 2 years. But, I haven't been inactive. I had to have my knee scoped 2 years ago and decided that losing a few pounds would probably reduce any further damage. Went to Weight Watchers and lost about 20 pounds. Last year, I started back to school, working toward an Exercise Science degree, started working out more and lost 2 inches off both my hips and waist (but no more weight-I'm good with that). I als... I have done more exercise on a regular basis than at any time in my life - almost 3 years now, so I don't get why this isn't working for me. Wed, 26 Mar 2008 08:27:32 EST Holiday Weekend How did everyone hold up, through the Easter holiday?

I ate a couple of things that weren't the wisest choices, but I think for the most part I did well. I didn't eat dessert or the many jello salads, etc. The worst part was I didn't get in hardly any exercise due to traveling and spending so much time in the car. 39 Also, I weighed myself in on Sunday and nothing changed. That was a HUGE disappoint... I guess I'll just have to work harder this week. Mon, 24 Mar 2008 10:23:57 EST Question.... Where do i get one of those cool trackers on my posts and on My Spark Page? Fri, 14 Mar 2008 16:31:47 EST Guilt I started this weight loss journey, not because I really wanted to, but because everyone else wanted me to. I admit I felt gross and lethargic and hated the way I looked but I didn't want to make some grand commitment to losing 20lbs just in case I couldn't do it. So now I'm on this journey and I've lost 8.5 lbs but for some reason I feel selfish when I take an hour out of my day to exercise. Thu, 13 Mar 2008 01:01:04 EST Weight loss side effects? G'day, just wanted to check if anyone else is having "side effects" to losing weight. I've lost 4.5kg (around 10 pounds) over 4 weeks, so I don't think it's too fast, but my body is giving me all sorts of strange feelings. Sometimes I feel nauseous (eating sometimes helps, sometimes doesn't), WILD mood swings, headaches and I can't stop peeing (sorry, bit graphic).

Is anyone else having trouble like this or have I got something else going on? 24 Tue, 11 Mar 2008 00:38:46 EST Lost 6 pounds with SP since I started Hello,

I just wanted to encourage everyone to really do this, keep up the work, track your food and excercise.
