I accepted Christ as Lord and Savior when I was in junior high (at church camp)... I was all in all a good girl. One thing I love about this team is getting to 'see' how things are different in each community. So, I am curious what makes your Candle light different, what makes it stand out?

The community I am in holds our walks on a United Methodist Church camp. There is a conference center (which I think is very nice) and you walk around a long corner to head down a hill with trees lining each side of the road. This path leads to an outdoor tabernacle. It's in-law issues & while I think I have come to accept that the situation may never be what I want it to be, I am still in sort of a "grieving proceess" if that makes any sense. I'd like to be able to have peace with "it is what it is" and move on. You know, just quit wanting it to be something else. Fri, 18 Jul 2008 18:00:23 EST Biggest win? What is the most you've ever gotten on spinning the wheel???
I normally get about 2 or 4 points. I think the biggest I've gotten is 20. I keep seeing 1000 spark goodie points, but never get it. I never thought to look for an Emmaus team on SP. I went on the Reynoldsburg (Ohio) Women's Emmaus Walk #1 in Nov. of 1998. I have been in several share groups but our last group disbanded a few years ago now. We still e-mail each other occasionally but everyone has gone in different directions (I reconnected with one person in my last FPU class!) We actually have several Emmaus communities withi... I've been soo extremely busy trying to get things done that I've not been online too much. I finally got my Priorities talk done, and previewed it last Saturday. I had to empty out my kitchen so that they could take down the ceiling. Then they got the drywall and insulation up yesterday. They're coming back today to spackle and 'mud' the ceiling. In the process my wall paper has gotten ruined, so now I'm also working on getting it down so it can be replaced!... Thu, 8 May 2008 10:11:44 EST Expelled Movie Ok ladies, I have a date night you need to make time for. Ben Stein has come out with a documentary on how people who believe in a creator are penalized in the scientific community. We as Christians should support things like this. Sat, 1 Mar 2008 12:17:17 EST New Forum Hi, I thought I'd add this as a forum and edit our sticky notes. I'd really like to know when you are doing something with your community so we can lift each other up in prayer. If you let me know your community walk dates I can have my reunion group send an agape letter for the weekend. (Our first reunion group meeting since last spring is tomorrow night! We kind of got off track, and there are only 2 members at this point! We are praying for growth though!) Thu, 7 Feb 2008 09:26:36 EST New Leader Hi all... wanted to take a moment to say Hey and that Cathy is graciously going to help me lead this team. I can't be on here quite as much as I used to due to my job. When there were only 3 of us it wasn't as big of a deal, but I want this to be a growing team... in people, and in faith. So, Thank you Cathy.. and if anyone has any suggestions of things they'd like to see on here, well it is all of our's team... let us know! Thanks and God Bless, Amanda Wed, 30 Jan 2008 13:11:12 EST terminology question What do you call your 'go for' group. The ones that do all the set up and agape during the weekend? I have been to a few reunions over the years. My Emmaus experience was one of the Big Five in my spiritual journey, so far. I remember every detail. I wish everyone could go on a Walk and experience it like my friends and I did. Glad to be a part of your group! Thu, 24 Jan 2008 00:00:41 EST I'm SOO excited! I am so excited to find an Emmaus spark team! Yea! My name is Theresa. I'm 38 years old. I went on Lowcountry Emmaus #1 in South Carolina in 1991. I sat at the Table of Theresa.
