I've been SParking for almost five years and have been maintaining for 4.5 of those years.

Without a doubt, the support of you, my Spark Friends have given me the motivation to get focused when I started losing focus, and the support I need to maintain.I

If you are looking for a fun way to stay motivated as you s... Sun, 29 Dec 2013 14:20:25 EST Still going strong... Happy to say that I am now at 120.2 pounds and holding steady. Wed, 31 Jul 2013 13:15:54 EST Got a bit to go, but 120-ville will be my home!! I joined Sparkpeople back in June 2011 and did great with the program. I lost weight, felt great, got my portions in control and stopped the emotional eating. I got down to 135, leaving 140-ville with my sites set on my goal of 125.
It wasn't Sparkpeople that eventually failed me, it was myself. Once I thought I got things under control, I slowly started to tell myself "oh, this one extra helping won't hurt" or "it won't matter if I missed just one workout", then the extra helpings and ... I know that it is a busy time for students, teachers, moms, and others. For me -- I've just finished grad school and now am working on finishing the school year in my teacher librarian job. Life is busy. Though there is pollen in the air, I'm constantly feeling the pull of the great outdoors and love feeling the sunshine on my shoulders and getting dirt under the fingernails! It isn't quite time for planting flowers in my area, but by April 15, I'll buy my bedding plants and will get them in the ground.

This month, I'm planning to start preparing for my first 5K in early June. Because of a tendon problem... Sun, 3 Apr 2011 21:59:52 EST Hungry? Morning--I have learned so much this first week on SparkPeople. I'm counting/tracking calories and eating on average 1500 calories/day. I'm using a combination of the meal plans on the site and also my own ideas for meals which are similar. I do often feel hungry, and I'm wondering if anyone else has tips on not feeling hungry. I want to eat a balanced healthy diet, but do not want to feel like I'm starving myself. Any ideas? Thanks! I’m still quite surprised, but very pleased indeed, to be living in 120-ville after only having passed through it once before on my way to higher weights as I was growing out of childhood.

My Weight Watchers’ goal some time ago was 133lb and I only got to that once before in the last 30 years as I yo-yo dieted up and down the 140s, 150s, 160s and probably the 170s. I am 60 years old with no health issues & at 5'5 that is a good weight for me. I have lost almost 40 pounds & am back to my pre-pregnancy weight from 33 years ago, so I am thrilled. First is to maintain my weight. My goal was 127. My low has been 122 and that seems to be as low as I'd like to go. Since my weight tends to fluctuate daily depending on water retention, my goal is to fluctuate below 127. Wed, 12 Mar 2008 10:09:29 EST The 120's So looking around Sparkpeople, it seems like anyone in their 120's is seeking to get out of them, but I'm not sure I understand why. I'm 5'4, and I'm very happy with the range I'm now in. In fact, I'm pretty sure I would look malnourished if I lost any more than a few more pounds.
