About the same time I started taking BP med at bedtime I noticed my sleep pattern change. I wake up and can't get back to sleep for a long time. Recently I read an article that atenolol can cause insomnia in some people. Instead of taking it at bedtime I am thinking of taking my pill at dinner time, so it is a little earlier. Doctor took me off Nifedipine, which she said causes swelling and added Bystolic. I was still taking Diovan HCT. Cardiologist later added Amlodipine and Lisinopril. BP continued to stay high, sometimes as much as 196/112. I only have one kidney and am diabetic. Got a new cardiologist who took me off all four BP meds and gave my Tribenzor. The second day my BP dropped to 122/79 and hasn't been high since. Wondering if a...
