I was a regular member last year and stopped using spark people for various reasons last March.

I've been on BP meds since mid 2009, for years I held the same weight, heavy but stable. But in the last 2 years I've skyrocketed up in weight. BP meds have changed a couple of times but under control for now. Don't want to see that scale go any higher, and also don't want to see any more increases in my meds. Here's to starting over and turning it around. Wed, 7 Jan 2015 17:40:04 EST New to the team! Thankfully in 2014 I only gained 5 pounds (all of it in December!) and have lost that, so now I have 50 in 2015 to lose. My blood pressure is in control but is borderline high. It used to be quite bad, but after losing 50lbs I was taken off meds and it has been good so far. I know exercising, watching what I eat and losing mo... However, I have learned to be open about it and let othe... Hello there! I was always walking 3 miles per day 3 years ago, and then became sedentary due to taking care of mother. The 50 #'s crept up on me again. I've done it before, and I KNOW I can do it again, because I am psyched for the new year ahead. If you don't have a supportive husband, and he doubts your efforts, get started like I did with a new girlfriend to walk in the park with. What a motivation and a blessing for 2015!! That's why I walk 3+ miles a day. Yesterday, I walked 4.5 miles. Remember, getting your weight under control. Could mean lower blood pressure.
