Hello Ladies! I am really excited to hear from a group of 40 year olds making it happen. I just hit the mark in July and I Love it! Four kids married 14 years and Happy Happy Happy. The only thing is that I need to lose this spare tire. After the birth of my twins 3 years ago my metabolism has not been the same. I don't look like I weigh 188 pounds but I do and I can feel every pound squeezed into my clothes. So no more excuses!! I'm gonna make it happen now! 9 Mon, 6 Oct 2008 14:22:23 EST Gray Hair Hi! I'm turning 40 in April but I've had this hair issue since I was 18. I began to gray early and have been coloring my hair ever since. I'm probably about 80% gray by now. While it's fun to change up my look on a whim, I have to say I'm getting quite tired of paying for the colorist. (I've done the box thing myself many times but I'm just not that good at it!) So, just wondering what your opinions are. Is 40 a good time to go gray? Should I wait til 50? Should I care about my husba... Thu, 18 Sep 2008 18:45:41 EST Hello Hello everybody! I'm from Central NY, and I am looking for opinions on the best workout DVD out there. I watch a lot of infomercials, and I definitely like the ones with catchy music, etc. I can never decide which one to get so that I'm not bored, or it's not too difficult etc. So I need help! Fri, 11 Apr 2008 07:55:02 EST hi from Austria Hi everyone,

I've been doing the Spark Thing for about 2 months now. And it really seems to be working! I have had a pretty healthy life style before, I just needed a tool to tell me what and how much I am eating. For the last 10 years I've had pretty much the same weight, which is the one I gained after my daughter's birth. So I decided to get rid of most of it now, before my metabolism comes to complete stop. I am turning 40 in October and it looks as though I am on my way.
... Fri, 11 Apr 2008 07:26:19 EST Hi. I won't actually BE 40 until October, but I already feel 40 and I mean that in the best possible way. I have new priorities and new perspectives that didn't exist last year.

I'm also part of the Martial Arts for Women Team and the COIL Reunited Team (COIL stands for Come On In Losers ;-) ). Sun, 17 Feb 2008 14:20:28 EST Hello New to team Hi all I'm Lisa Wed, 13 Feb 2008 21:34:57 EST question about fat intake vs calorie intake Hi. I am new to Sparkpeople and have a question. My calories have been in the correct range but my fat is sometimes over. I know to lose weight, it is to expend more calories than taking in. How does the fat come into play? I think maybe I need to multiply the fat I go over by 9. Does anyone know the answer to that? Thanks and I look forward to chatting with you. StaciMurray Mon, 11 Feb 2008 19:59:24 EST Happy Birthday to me On Sunday, February 10, I will be turning 40, and will really deserve a place in this forum! LOL. Anyhow, I got myself some early birthday presents today. I got two pilates exercise balls (2 lbs each). They are soft and sit in the palm of your hand. They came with some exercises illustrated, but they are also just like the Leslie Sansone "Walkaway Weighted Balls" That she uses in her walking videos, so I'll be able to use them there too.
