Mon, 18 Aug 2014 10:02:34 EST Hello from England http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x12119x57972963 Well, looking at this team I reckon I'm a lot older than most, but be assured I'm not an old almost-63! Ooooh no! I'm English, living in England, but am something of a Yankophile and am even on a Spark team local to my beloved area of western MA, a place I know extremely well. My page tells more. I have boundless energy and refuse to be diminished by any of the aches and pains which come partly as a result of excess weight and partly as a result of getting older. I am only in my 40's in ... Anyone with this information that can help me out would be greatly appreciated :) Mon, 10 Feb 2014 14:46:24 EST Burn It Up + ...? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x12119x56633925 Does anyone use a second workout to supplement Si6? When I was on the first two videos, I would usually do an extra cardio video (mostly something from either Turbo Jam or Rockin Body) because neither of those felt like enough.

Wondering if anyone else mixes and matches workouts. BiU is a lot harder than the first two, but I can tell that after a week or so, I will feel ready to incorporate a little more cardio. Would this be overkill? The thing is, my OFF day absolutely need to be Saturday. So I'd start today, would do 4 days of Start It Up then take off Saturday and start phase 2 on Sunday, and after that follow the normal programs for 6 days per week. I'm in an okay shape to start with.. I can move and I believe learn the "moves" fast. What do you think? I'm new to this team and to Slim in 6. I've been on SparkPeople for a while now and I've lost a total of about 26 pounds thus far. I've still got a long journey ahead though. I ordered Slim in 6 quite a while back but never even really tried it. It's just been sitting in the box collecting dust. I'm officially starting the program today and was wondering if there was anyone out there who is also starting soon or just started not too long ago. I'm looking for someone to hel... I will be starting Start it up on Monday. I have done slim in 6 years ago, but I like how there is an actual program to start and finish. Hopefully I will get results. have been on and off from Sparks for a few years now. I am hoping to lose 20 pounds in all, but 10 pounds would be awesome at this point. I recently became unemployed so I do not have any excuse to not lose this weight once and for all. Wish me luck!! Just about 53 min and 323 cals burned. I have the new version of the program, which is a little different from the old. I felt most of the first part in my shoulders - so many of the moves have arm movements along with them. The other tough parts for me were the lunges - the last 8 front lunges I didn't go down very far, and the tricep band work - I did 10 out of the 16 reps.

I'm going to work on those things this week & tun... I just received my Slim in 6 dvd's a few days ago, and I'm looking forward to starting the program tomorrow morning (Monday). I've already started working on my eating habits. I have really high hopes for this workout/fitness plan. I have tried MANY other things in the past, but I think the way this program is set up I will have success! I like all the tips and information that comes with the dvd's. I'm also looking for a challenge this month to keep me motivated! Do you all think it would be okay to replace the push-ups in SI6 with these wall push-ups? I don't feel like they would be quite as effective but since I have such a difficult time with my wrists, I'm thinking this 'alternative' move might be the answer. What are ya'lls thoughts? I have been other workout videos for a few weeks to get myself into the habit of working out every day. So far I've done really well. Tonight was my first workout, I did "get it started"...pretty sure my legs will be feeling that tomorrow for sure.

I didn't know how to log it so I looked up a 24 mins cardio program that SPARK has and use those calories burned as the SI6 amount. How do you log yours?

I log mine as high impact step aerobics. For my height/weight, I tend to burn about 600 cals/workout which is about what Siebers indicated in the infomercial or in a chat on the BB website. It may also be in the materials, but I'm not sure. I used my HRM several times and it indicated that I burned a lot more than that but I only count about 600. I have been using Slim in 6 and the entire Slim Series for 2 years. At 46 I am in the best shape of my life. Since diet is 80% of the equation, I am still working on those last 10-12 pounds because of my poor eating habits. I do use Slim in 6 in some capacity every day.
I still use Burn it Up at least once a week. I was wondering how you log the DVDs in your fitness tracker?? I have had SI6 for several years. My husband and I did most of the program several years ago but then life (and stress) interupted. I teach school and need to focus on getting myself into better shape for next fall - so today is the day to start! I look forward to working with all of you this summer. Keep pushing play! Get your wk outs in. We can do this. We can stick to it. Remember how we felt when we watched the infomercial and seeing everyone else's results. It can be done. Put your videos in and if you only get bits of it done at a time that's ok. I have to do that my self.
Have a great day!
Lillie Mon, 1 Jun 2009 04:57:02 EST Starting 5/20/09 http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x12119x25691787 I'm starting a new round of Slim in 6 tonight.

I had done a round a couple years ago, and was happy with the results. I am down to my last 15# and am hoping that this will help get the scale closer to my goal. I look forward to others joining me on my journey to do Slim in 6. I have to say it is the only program that I have been successful with in the past and I truly think that if I had not quit pushing play, I would be at goal by now. I tried going to the gym but never got into a good rhythm and was never successful with any type of fitness or weight loss. Slim in 6 is what did it for me again so I am back to what I know works.
