So for my birthday I booked a cruise for my family, enjoyed it immensely, ate healthy and challenged myself to experience more of life. I averaged 6-8 miles of walking, snorkeled the Caribbean and ziplined in Jamaica. Once home I continued on my me journey. I haven't looked back since. Best decision ever! I would like to lose 50 pounds. I over eat when I am stressed out. I have been buying fruits and veggies instead of sweets so if I want to over eat then it is healthy. I need a lot of support for this. It is scary for me because I'm concerned about failure. I'm worried that I am going to start this and then quit. I am going to make an effort to stick with this for life! 521 Fri, 27 Jun 2014 10:05:09 EST Hi I'm new Hi everyone I'm new. Mon, 16 Jun 2014 10:03:16 EST bequiltn8 I finally decided I need to take better care of myself-- I have a lot of weight to lose, and I certainly need help doing it. I have just spent 18 months away from my home caring for my ailing 90 yr old mother--has made me realize we don't have forever to do the things we thought we did. Sun, 15 Jun 2014 18:57:48 EST Thanking God I am new to this site and am so thankful to God because I know I am not alone in my journey with weight loss and becoming healthy. I have been fighting the battle with weight for as long as I can remember. I lose some and then life happens and I gain it right back. I hope this is my answer to prayer. Sat, 14 Jun 2014 22:31:04 EST started Fri 13 with a full moon Hope this doesn't mean bad luck for me, but I won't forget my start date. I hate to diet and I'm not good at doing things I hate. So I'm starting slow. Just trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day and enter what I eat. Not trying to change what I eat yet. I all ready exercise a lot, I like that. I'm going to record my exercise to be sure I'm doing well. I joined the group challenges for drinking water and posting daily so I will try that too. Sat, 14 Jun 2014 17:01:34 EST 12 lbs down I'm so excited I'm down another pound for a total of 12 lbs. It feels so good to be eating healthy and losing weight again. I hope to meet my goals this time round. Fri, 13 Jun 2014 11:51:54 EST what a wake up call I guess I have been living in a make believe world. A world where I have been telling myself fibs. I have been telling myself that I l look petty good.....maybe a pound or two to live, but nothing urgent and certainly nothing anyone would notice. well hubby was taking pictures today and took a few of me. Wow. Who is that woman?! She is old and fat and stooped over. I need to fix this. I now have my motivation. I am also horrified and ashamed. Thu, 12 Jun 2014 20:13:43 EST Facing up to fear of losing I'd like some input on self sabotage and fear of losing. I've been on diets since I was 9 years old (not my choice). I got down to "normal" twice but each time put it all back on because I was young and it was a "diet" not a lifestyle.

In later years, I've noticed a pattern. I might do ok until I lose about 20 lbs, but then it is almost like an anxiety attack--I get lazy and start "winging it" and boom, it's all back again.

This last time I actually got over the 20 ... Tue, 10 Jun 2014 11:40:45 EST Joining today, Hi, joining today to get some support on this weight loss journey. I have focused on walking/jogging since May 15, of at least 5 miles per day for 4 days a week. I have actually gained weight instead of losing, very depressing. I am decreasing sugar in my diet to low amounts 5 tsp or less to make my walking work for me. Tue, 10 Jun 2014 10:24:00 EST And so the journey begins... Today I signed up for the coaching program. Anybody else doing the coaching program? I have been floundering the last 2 years...I need to lose 60 pounds. I plan to do this by tracking my food intake, lifting weights and walking 10,000 steps or more/day. I am really in need of I am for the first time letting it all out there. I wish everyone continued success in their journey. 41 Tue, 10 Jun 2014 10:02:38 EST 25th Anniversary I decided that today would be a good day to get serious about losing, since I have gained over 30 pounds in the 25 years I have been married. I NEED SUPPORT!!! I have NO ONE with whom to share this journey. My husband is diabetic and in denial. My best friend moved a couple thousand miles away a few years ago. I am relying on the kindness of strangers to help me stop killing myself with not only excess weight, but negative thoughts brought on by same. Thanks in advance. Tue, 10 Jun 2014 09:50:15 EST just joined yesterday. I'm ready for a new way of living, might need a nudge every once in a while,
Heck, don't be afraid to give me a good kick back into the groove. Mon, 9 Jun 2014 12:26:39 EST Dylan Well after a long hiatus and a few cheeseburgers in between. I "manned up" for my first day back in the gym. I said I was going to take it easy, but I just kept going oddly enough after loathing the thought for several weeks. I was afraid that I am facing the miserable fact of my real condition. So I have 52 pounds to lose in 6 mo. Lofty? Maybe, but I want to say I tried anyway. I am very determined and I have a trainer that is very motivating. Wish you all well on reaching your goals this ye... Sun, 8 Jun 2014 01:38:02 EST Feeling good....but Trying something new. I've been experiencing a lot of pain and the doctor said I have inflammation. After reading up on it, the number one recommendation is to cut sugar and flour out of my diet. I have over 70 lbs to lose but I've never been very successful at weight loss. Now that I'm a "mature" woman, it's darn near impossible to budge the scale so I'm trying to change my mindset. Sat, 10 May 2014 08:23:28 EST Hi, I'm new to this team but not to SP I am trying again to lose weight after a hiatus. I have recently been to a registered dietitian at the local hospital to help me get to the bottom of why I don't lose weight. I've had a very difficult time of it. No, it's not my thyroid, I've had it checked every year. I just started a new exercise regimen, swimming and water aerobics because of arthritic knees and one ankle. I use a cane and so even WATP with Leslie Sansone is difficult. Tried "chair exercise" and it just doesn't cut it for ... It is definitely harder to lose when you've passed that 50 yr mark - probably for many reasons. Now I work on 5 lb goals and my next one is 190 and size 16! I'd love to have a community to support and be supported by. So thank you Spark Team. Sat, 1 Mar 2014 10:53:33 EST Happy New Year!
