I weaned off a couple weeks ago & simply cannot believe the weight I've gained. First I thought it was pre-menstrual but that's not it. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, when will it 'even out'? I'm now back on Sparkpeople hoping to get back to feeling good about myself (because right now, I don't).

Thanks for any input,
Rose Wed, 30 Sep 2015 17:29:58 EST Pepper121 Just getting started Tue, 29 Sep 2015 09:13:10 EST Hi 524

Hi Everyone,

I'm back rediscovering the great Spark People community.

Being a Grandmother of a 1 year old is teaching me that I need to get in better shape so I can keep up with that awesome little boy. Though I did find this great site back in 2008...I have not been a faithful follower...a lot has changed in my life since 2008, the most life changing being that I lost an adult child in 2009, married my long time sweetheart in 2012 ( my "present" for my 60th birthday), and inherited a 14 year old grandson in Dec 2013. I am a survivor. But raising a teenager, who has now lost both parents, after the nest has been empty for at least 15 yrs, has been a bit of a shock to my system. I am so bl... Tue, 6 May 2014 13:11:28 EST weight loss slows down after only one month I think I'm obsessing too much with this. But I am going crazy and starting to lose my spunk. I've only been really at it since April 7, but that means that I've been tracking every ounce of food that goes into my mouth to maintain approx 1250 calories per day, and I'm also exercising every single day. I even upped it from 30 min on the elliptical to 40 min, and added walking 5 miles every day for 2 weeks now. But since I've done that, my weight loss has slowed down. Now I realize I shou... I feel as if I need more energy, to discover more healthy foods, healthy recipes for a person who is the go a lot. The one thing I am happy about is that I purchased a Fitbit Flex and it's helping me achieve activity goals. I would now like to keep tr... Tue, 28 Jan 2014 01:31:13 EST Wanna be Hello I am Sheila. I have since learned that I need to eat more to lose weight, that is, enough calories so my body doesn't think I'm starving it! Then I thought it was lack of exercise - so I've been walking 10+ miles a week. Makes it firm, but doesn't make it go away. Hi Y'all,
I'm having a bit of a problem and I'm not quite sure how to work it out.

I've always been on the thin side and it wasn't for lack of food. It wasn't until I went back to college in my mid 20's that I started a regular exercise routine and I started to add on some body weight.

Then mid-life and 3 children later I finally started to add some curves to my body but I was always able to keep it under control with exercise. Food was never anything I had to worr... Tue, 19 Nov 2013 09:09:46 EST My first lesson Hi - my first day, my first lesson.
