Wed, 13 Oct 2010 16:12:33 EST Fruit and Yogurt Trail Mix meal bar The fruit and yogurt bar is pretty good, I'd give it a 4 on a scale of 1-5. The fruit part is raisins. For some reason, I was thinking strawberry, which would have made it a 5. Tue, 12 Oct 2010 16:13:58 EST October Check-In For those of you who still follow the plan, lets hear an update! We need to get this group going again!! Wed, 6 Oct 2010 21:13:57 EST Incorporating "The Best Life Diet" by Bob Greene I know this book is a few years old. I bought it, read it, followed Oprah on all her journeys and about six months ago someone close to me gave me another copy of the book. Good thing, mine was long gone. In those months it has been in my possession I picked it up and started, or re-read it more times than I care to remember. LOL. But I have been looking for something a bit more structured for me. I do not want to pay for Weight Watchers (lifetimer over goal) or another year of TOPS (I never ... Tue, 15 Jun 2010 13:47:11 EST Chewy Chocolate Crisp - 321 Plan - Meal Bar The good thing about this meal bar, if you pair it with a fresh piece of fruit, it makes for a portable and quick meal. The bar does not have that thick gritty taste that many meal replacement bars have, which is a nice change of pace. However, the fact that the bar is dark cocoa with a cocoa coating makes for a very sweet treat. Sun, 25 Apr 2010 16:07:11 EST Chocolatey Vanilla Blitz Creamy. Yummy. Reminds me of a the Vanilla Pria Bar.

rbar-pria-110-plus-nutrition-bar-frenc
h-vanilla-crisp.aspx Mon, 19 Apr 2010 13:07:07 EST Nutty Chocolate Chew - snack bar - 321 Plan If you are looking for something that will satisfy the salt and sweet craving, this might be the snack bar for you. It reminds me a bit like a Payday only it only has peanuts on the top. The bottom is chocolate and there is a bit of a caramel flavor. I found it to be rather yummy, with good texture that does not require a gallon of water to swallow. It did have a bit of a sweet after taste, but it was not too bad compared to other products I have tried. This one gets a thumbs up! Fri, 16 Apr 2010 16:12:13 EST French Vanilla - RTD Shake The French Vanilla is very creamy. There is not a lot of that sweet flavor or any weird after taste. I put this in the freezer for about 15-20min before drinking. Makes a nice, cold, drink. Let it stay in the freezer for a little longer and it will be like an icee, only better.

I am not in to the RTD shakes very much. I prefer to chew my food. However they are handy to have for those morning when I just do not feel like eating breakfast or I have a busy day, and time is not there ... Fri, 16 Apr 2010 14:21:06 EST Cappucino Delight - RTD Shake Cappucino Delight has been my favorite shake since the day it debuted. I love coffee shops and get rather lazy about making fancy coffee at home. I have learned the low fat option at my local coffee places, but sometimes I want something quick at home.

In the morning I will brew coffee for me and my fiancé. I love the smell of fresh coffee. When the weather is warmer I will mix my cup of coffee with the SF Cappuccino shake for a nice iced coffee.

My only dislike about th... Fri, 16 Apr 2010 14:16:40 EST Double Dutch Chocolate - snack bar Double dutch chocolate has a very nice consistency. It is not overly sweet. It reminds me of a brownie with a chocolate coating.

I ended up eating this right after an hour long walk/jog on the treadmill and it hit the spot with an apple and some water to keep me full until lunch time.

This bar is recommended for a great chocolate snack. Hi everyone!

This is something I've wondered about ever since I started using slim-fast: Is there a difference between the real slim-fast and a generic one?

I usually go to Kroger for my grocery shopping and they sell "slim-rite" which is the Kroger brand slim-fast (I'm taking about shakes here). So, the generic one sells for ~$7-8/12 pack while the real slim-fast sells for ~$12-13/12 pack. For me being a student and making very little money an extra $5 is pretty signif... Sun, 2 Nov 2008 11:01:28 EST Hello! Hi everyone! I'm new on the team. But I'm not new to slim-fast: I followed a pretty strict slim-fast diet from November 2007 to May 2008 and lost 50 lbs! It is amazing how well slim-fast actually works (trust me, my whole life I've assumed it was a diet gimmick). Since May until a few days ago I've been on and off. But, I'm ready to tackle my next goal with slim-fast at my side. I hope to be a contribution to this team! Sat, 1 Nov 2008 18:36:33 EST New here... I use the slim fast plan so that it is easy for me to count calories and keep track...takes all the guess work out...however, I have just started and wonder who has lost weight with this and is it realy working for you? I know that going off sometime is really to be expected but once I go astray it is like the whole week end is ruined so I just eat what I want and to heck with it and of course I feel terrible on Monday and I start back on the right path but it seems I... Mon, 21 Jan 2008 13:35:13 EST Taste? Hello Everyone! I'm new here. I have a few problems with dieting being that I am the pickiest eater in the world. Anyways, I bought the Slimfast Optima French Vanilla powder shake mix and 1/2 gallon of Fat Free milk yet I have yet to try it. I plan on starting today, but maybe I just need some motivation and someone to tell me it will tast okay? haha. Mon, 21 Jan 2008 09:02:31 EST Welcome New Members! Hello!!

Slimfast has been a great tool to help me get on track with eating. I used it to get on track and now use at least once a day, mainly because I love flavored milks and this lets me have "my cake and eat it too" (sorry about talking about cake)

After spending a few weeks faithfully following the slimfast plan. I now have around 200-300 calories breakfast (a shake or cereal and milk). 400-500 calories for lunch (or a shake + 200-300 calories) and 500+ calories f... I am new to SP, but have been on the Slim-Fast diet for about 3 months.

I've hit a plateau, which is why I've joined SP. I think the main problem I had though was drinking enough water. I was lucky if I drank 16 oz a day! I love that I can earn points for drinking water and that I can keep track of it here. The last couple days I've had 48 oz! I'm just trying to work my way up.

Any other suggestions on how to get through a plateau with Slim-fast? Thu, 4 Oct 2007 22:28:50 EST New to the group! hello everyone! my name is Jeni. I am 24. I currently weight a little over 200 pounds. I have been trying to diet for over a year now. I lost 50 pounds on the slim fast diet last year, and gained 65 pounds back in about 4 months.
I'm hoping this time I can stick to it. Mon, 3 Sep 2007 21:34:01 EST Advice Needed!! I have another post that described my last 6 weeks and what a disappointment they ended up as. So if someone here can point out my error, I would much appreciate it.
I have kept my calorie intake to between 1200-1400 every day. No slip ups. I work in construction, so workouts are not hard to get. I can rack up 6 hrs of physical activity every day at work. Plus I go for walks, and play with the kids, etc. I eat fairly well, slim fast in the morning, about 250 calories for lunch (sandw... Mon, 27 Aug 2007 11:20:30 EST Hello Everyone! My name is Tiffany and I am oldnew slimfast user. I used slimfast before in combination with an all liquid diet which I am not doing this time. I have been going at it for about a week this time and exercising. I hope to reach my first mini-goal which is to get out of the 190's really soon. So far I am at 191 and I hope to make it this upcoming week. No looking back! I will never be back in the 190's again after this. I'll keep you all posted and look forward to meeting you in the thre... Sun, 19 Aug 2007 10:43:24 EST Lost 3 1/2 lbs!!! YEP I did it!!!!!! Fri, 10 Aug 2007 05:55:19 EST 2 Weeks this Sunday I will have been on the slim fast plan for 2 weeks this coming Sunday. So 12 days as of now. Without a goof-up. I try to stay below 1200 calories on days I'm not at work, and 1400 on days that I am at work. I feel great. The best part is, I weighed the first day of the plan. I haven't touched the scale since. I may weigh myself on Sunday, but I'm not sure I will. I have begun to see changes in my body. I didn't measure either so if my body has changed, my clothes will have to tell the ... Sat, 28 Jul 2007 00:13:06 EST Favorites What are some of your favorite SF stuff? bars? shakes? snacks? Fri, 27 Jul 2007 08:04:57 EST HI! My name is Michelle and my husband and I are using slimfast and sparkpeople to help us reach our goals. I have about 55 pounds to lose and he had about 20 to lose. Glad to see a sparkteam for slimfast users! Wed, 18 Jul 2007 10:01:26 EST New Slim Fast User I started the slim fast plan on Sunday. I am not weighing myself or tracking any kind of weight loss until I reach my first goal of a size 9. I find I am too obsessed with the scale when I use it. I know that the slim fast plan recommends a shake for breakfast and lunch with snacks, but I am approaching this a different way. Our bodies are meant to have our largest meal in the morning. Breakfast fit for a queen!! Then a smaller but good size meal for lunch. Lunch like a princess!! Then... Tue, 17 Jul 2007 13:56:11 EST Vitamins? I'm registered at but the "Buddy" thing isn't very good.

I started SF in April 2006... so it's been just about a year. Generally speaking, it's been about the easiest eating plan I've ever tried. (and I've tried them ALL!)

My sis started at the same time. We've both learned so much! I would love to share some of our discoveries with you. if anyone is interested. (?)

Barb Wed, 16 May 2007 19:45:40 EST Hello Im new to this group Well Here is my history. Im a gastric bypass patient who went from 350 to as low as 170 and Im 5+years post op. After having my daughter in 2004 I gained some weight and havent been able to get it off.
