She has been going potty in the hallway for a few days, so I have been putting her back in the crate at night. I am going to be keeping a close eye on her. She's been coughing a number of weeks ago and after several rounds of antibiotics most of the cough was gone (though not sure the antibiotics were the reason). Today she had trouble breathing and is spending the night in ICU at the vet school (fortunately local) on oxygen. Her oxygen saturation was down to 86%. They are starting her on another antibiotic and a steroid and also given her a bronchodilator. Possibilities according to vet are inflammation, in... Cassie used to live in a run with another dog, but has been a house dog since her breeder got her back (not sure how long abo that was, but she has placed her twice before I got her). I wanted to put her in the run for Sunday because I would be gone fairly long hours (church and BD party) and it is going to be in the 70s. I didn't think it would be fair to leave her in her crate for that long. If the run doesn't work out I w... The book doesn't specifically address eating issues but the insight and self management techniques it provides can help us deal with whatever challenge we are facing, be it smoking, eating, drinking or whatever. One of the many good takeaway ideas I got was not to feel "entitled" to eat everything I want, when I want and how much and still have good health. Thi... I love that there is a dog lover forum. For the past 8 years we have had one dog. He is an oversized pitbull with really bad hips...can't really take him on walks anymore. My youngest daughter wanted a puppy she could play with and walk with. When my husband's coworker fostered a littler of pit puppies we got a second dog. While my daughter was walking her new pup, a stray started following her. A 12 week pup that still had stitches from being neutered. We put up signs, ... We have two; Percy is a poodle that we adopted from Arizona Poodle Rescue about 8 years ago. He's definitely a "in the moment" boy, full of joy, and loves to play and be loved. Skipper is about 10 now and is a champagne colored terri poo. He loves to cuddle, get pats, and play. As a puppy he was very shy, but over the years has become more self confident. They both love attention and enrich our lives.
