I did Fat Smash years ago and lost 9 pounds, but then gave up after a few weeks. I'm in a different place now and I've been doing Phase 1 for about 3 weeks (lost 10 pounds so far). I've been doing pretty good, but I think part of it is that I allow cheat meals on the weekends and I weigh myself every day (I know it's a no-no, but it's actually a big motivator for me to see the scale drop).

I thought about going to Phase 2 this week, but I recently became vegetarian so Phase ... I was talking to myself for awhile. lol. I gave up diet coke a month ago. I was a bad diet cokeaholic. lol. I drank 7 or 8 12 oz cans a day. I still have some headaches and irritability. But, it has lessened. I try to drink water now. I am exercising more now, too. I ride my bike when the weather is good. Today is cold and it looks like rain. I did really well on it a few years ago. My husband did better than I did. lol. But, we have moved a couple of times and just haven't been settled enough to stick to an eating plan...until now. I have about 60lbs I want to lose, and I have been trying to lose for a while now. Two years ago I lost 20 but it all came back once I stopped really trying. I'm hoping for lasting results this time. My goal is to lose it and maintain it before I graduate from nursing school next July and I feel like that is realistic. I've now gained all 20 back but not because the diet didn't work, I just stopped following it and stopped working out. I've been eating better and working out agian for about a month but I've barely lost anything. So, I'm back on the diet. I was hoping to find some support here but it seems to be pretty dead. Woo Hoo http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x10806x36401835 I’m new to SparkPeople and I’m exploring the different teams. I’ve been in the process of moving, and thanks to the shift in my routines, the pounds have crept back on. This is a pretty big problem for me since I have to maintain a certain weight for my job (I’m in the Navy). My dream is to lose what I need to for my next weigh in next month, then get on track with a healthy diet and fitness plan where this never has to be a worry again!

To meet the immediate goal, I have star... I just read the Fat Smash book, and I really think this is something I can do more so than anything else I've found. I'm hoping that this board is active as I really enjoy all the support on SP. I was also wondering how FS has worked for you all, what kind of losses you have had. Any info would be great. I look forward to talking with you. Keep Spark'n Lisa Tue, 2 Jun 2009 23:23:46 EST June 2009 fat smashing! Anyone want to join me? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x10806x25971300 I'm an off and on Fat Smash-er...I usually just count cals and try to stay within the SP cal range. My (hefty) goal is to lose 10 lbs by the 4th of July!

I've done FS in the past with great success. Usually I lose 8-12 lbs just in the Detox alone. This is such a great WOE. I've been doing my own thing but I wanted a break from counting and weighing everything, so I am trying Extreme Fat Smash. Today is my first day and so far so good, except that I am really hungry. Yesterday I had my first "cheat" meal in 6 weeks and I think I am having some of the after effects. Plus, Day 1 is REALLY low calorie.

I just need a week of someone telling me exactly what to eat. I'm interested to see the results. I wanted to come back from the detox with a REAL plan. I'm hoping to gain encouragement, insight, and support by joining the team. I'm hopeful I can stick it through the 3 weeks.

I have 20-25 lbs to shed.

Mon, 13 Apr 2009 19:55:04 EST Starting FS tomorrow... http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x10806x24651261 I have tried this before but only completed 4 or 5 days. I finished Phase 1 yesterday and weighed in, I lost 9 lbs total!! That is awesome! Eating just fruits and veggies, brown rice, and egg whites, is not the best, but it works. I am looking forward to Phase 2 because I got to have some cheese today, lol. But I am worried about adding meat back in, I think I may over indulge. I think I may do every other day until I know I can stick to my portions. I am very happy I started this diet! 244 Fri, 12 Dec 2008 16:20:45 EST EFS vs. FS??? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x10806x20308391 Hello! I started out following it to a T but then started to incorporate my own spin on it. So far I'm pretty positive I've lost weight [havent weighed myself just yet] but I have also found that as I get to Cycle 3 I am using the book more as guidelines as opposed to going word-for-word. Just curious if anyone else has done this and still had success. I usually go hard in Cycle 1, by the book, then ease up a bit afterwards. So, I'm here to knock out 20lbs by December 11th for an event I'm hosting. I am not weighing myself until it is all over and even then I'm not sure I will. I did it a couple of years ago, and it really worked well for me. I felt great and lost weight. Don't know why I ever stopped it! Oh yeah, the sugar... I'm a sugar addict, I do believe. Going to give it another shot - detox from my sugar binging and get back in shape. Looking forward to supporting others here along the way! Why, I don't have the slightest idea. Phase 1 worked so well for me and I felt great after I finished but I guess sometimes old habits are hard to break. I'm happy to say ,though, that I'm back at it again and I'm on day 2 of Phase 1. My husband and I are doing it together so I think this will make life a little easier. I'm in it to win it!! Now I'm just sick of my eating habits. Last night I ate 4 pieces of pizza, 4 cookies, and an ice cream sandwich. The binge of the month I guess. So I have my 20 year high school reunion coming up in October and I'd like to lose 10 pounds by then. Today I'm starting back on the Regular FS Diet. I started fat smash on 1/1/08. So far so good. I'm cooking Lentil soup right now. I found a huge list of fat smash recipes on 3fatchicks. I hope it comes out good. I've tried every type of diet imaginable, but this seems like a good one for me. I really feel great since I've been eating healthier. I need to lose 40 lbs maybe even 50. But I haven't been that thin in a long time. I'd be happy with 30 lbs at this point in time!!!! Good luck to all... I've been vegetarian for 15 years, so I'm very accustomed to getting my protein from beans, tofu, etc. However, with the increase of protein and decrease of rice, I'm going to have to compensate somehow. Any veggie ideas on making up the 3-4 ounces of meat and 3 ounces of fish? I can do some meat substitute, but other ideas are definitely welcome.
